I bought the Rousch/Brenspeed TVS almost 2 years ago. I already had Detroit Rockers and long tube headers. This kit had excellent detailed instructions. The install was pretty easy. I followed the instructions step by step. The first key hit it started right up, and I have not had to do anything but change the oil. My Mustang had 100,000 miles on the car and 60,000 on the engine. It is very fun to drive. I would recommend this kit to anyone interested.

Bren just tuned my 4.6L 3V 2007 GT/CS. Wow. So much better over the Custom Performance (Concord, NC) tune that the previous owner had done in 2008. This thing is soooo much more alive and much more steady to drive. Throttle response has been greatly improved. Idle sounds amazing now. The timing is perfect with the cams! Thank you Brenspeed!!!

Great video and Q&A. Just bought a used 06 convertable GT automatic with Roush in it, was ordered new this way, has 100K now, it was owned by a woman who kept it in perfect shape and serviced at a Ford Roush dealer in Oregon. I was worried that it might be getting weak. Watching the video made me feel good about the miles, especially since you said if well maintained don't worry. Learning a lot about Mustang builds from Brenspeed... just a side note bought this as a 50th. wedding present for my wife, we were talking about how much we missed my 63' Red split 427 Corvette with side pipes we crusied in during High School. So time for a convertible go fast Mustang happy 50th. she smiles every time she looks at it... Vancouver USA

Last dynoed in 2010 at 456 hp and 434 trq on an older style twin screw blower. Thanks for the good info. I watch the whole video, last year my wife and I purchased a 2010 Rough Mustang for our 50th wedding anniversary. When I called Roush to get a build sheet they claimed that the car didn’t come from Roush. It is an GT Mustang and had only 5000 miles on it. The car is pristine It does have Roush plate under the hood that said it has 450 hp with 425 pounds of torque, and to drive this car it is amazingly fast To me. That explains why despite always hearing "it only goes to 450/500", I've seen turbo kit claims and boosted 3Vs that go way higher in HP. All I got is an 07 V6 right now, but after seeing this, I'm definitely someday adding a GT to boost(or better yet, a 3V-era GT500) in the stable. I was considering a Coyote for some time, but I've been in love with the 3V's nostalgic looks since I saw it as a kid around '05.

I hung around to the end. I’m am older dude who has had many older muscle cars over the years. After selling my Jaguar SBC/XJS I ran across a really clean 2008 GT/5sp. It looks great but after living with it a while I realize it’s not what I expected power wise. I’d like something to take to the local 1/8mi but it could use a little help. Glad I found your videos, I’ll be checking out more. Most of what I was finding was Kevlar shift knobs, halo headlights and stupid loud exhaust videos. I was starting to think maybe this just wasn’t my crowd lol. Most of what I know about are big cube motors with carbs so definitely a learning curve on this sweet little car.

06GT 5r55 car with a m90, LTs, Detroit rockers, cai, stock pulley...never been dynod so I'd be guessing maybe 425 hp and maybe 400 torque. Car has 9 years and 600+ quarter mile runs with zero motor issues!! I bracket race the hell outta this car with complete confidence its safe and good to go. Runs 12.1s in okay air. We dont ever get great air in the tropics. 4.6 motor is a bracket work mule!!!! 😊🤙

"It's not about horsepower, it's about torque." Truer words were never spoken. In 1982, I bought a new Mustang GT right off the showroom floor when I was stationed in San Diego. It had the returned "Boss 302" or 5.0 engine (the ad campaign from Ford was "The Boss is Back!") with the two-barrel carb and a four-speed manual and a switch that cut off the air conditioning if you put the pedal to the metal. "Oh, but it only had 157 horsepower" (with the 2V carb), people tell me. Yeah, but it also had 240 or so (IIRC) lb-ft or ft-lb or whatever of torque (gearheads argue over the proper name for torque force, too), so it could get up and down the road fairly quickly for that era (it also had those trick torque hop limiters in the back and the TRX wheels). Don't get me wrong: I did a stoplight duel in Newport, RI back then against an '81 Porsche 928 and got left in the dust once that boy got his car out of second gear, but I had him off the line initially... because of torque. Eh, when in doubt, go with the torque every time and quit worrying about HP, which is a number without meaning in the absence of torque.

I'm only 4 minutes into it but I had to comment. So glad you are emphasizing torque over horsepower. I always tell my buddies torque moves the car. Horsepower is just a calculation of what the torque is at a given rpm.

I digress I want to add cams, headers and heads if they make them. I bought new in 07, slapped the twin screw on at 15,000 miles in 10 and blew motor in 16 with 49,000.
