Thanks Ethan for watching! I have plenty of 3V video's to keep you busy. Plus tons of other cool car videos as well.

The Steeda underdrive pullies was one of my first mods and made a significant difference in throttle acceleration, such a underrated mod.
Yes a great part and often overlooked!
No wonder you call yourself SlowPony..🙄

@@BrenspeedEngineering how would the underdrive pulleys affect a 3v with a PD blower?
Just bought an 07 GT 2 hours ago 🤣...I think I've found the right place for knowledge! Thank you for the info.
Glad I could help!
@BrenspeedEngineering It is appreciated and certainly will be utilized soon
Brenspeed gave me Detroit Rocker Cams, Pypes Longtube Headers, Off road X-pipe, one piece driveshaft. Cold Air intake. Cooling mods, and many other mods. They turned my car into a frigging BEAST! At idle it chops like a AX and might be the loudest car in the State of Maine! The thing is absolutely sick! Thank you so much Brenspeed for giving me my dream car! And making it one of a kind! I'm a fan boy for life! Shout out to George & Dom!!!Thanks for all the videos Brent. That's why I came to you guys. The shit u guys do is just AWESOME!
Thanks Bobby your car is awesome.
Ordered my 3v HO Paxton from Doug on Wednesday and it was sitting on my porch on Friday. Couldn't believe it!! Great buying experience. Between these videos and talking with Doug at length before ordering I feel like I am going to be very happy going this route. Thanks brenspeed!
Awesome choice. That is a bad ass supercharger and yes we have attempted to build up supercharger inventory pretty heavy. We have a lot in stock. Not everything because with all the choices of polished, satin, black, different years etc... it is hard to predict what someone will want but we have a lot in here right now. THANKS
Good luck

I love my low miles (57k) 06 GT ! Love the looks of the 05-09 and the sound the 3V makes with the right exhaust setup. Oh, and what about a set of gears ? For a basically stock 06 GT automatic what gear would be best ? 3.73 or 4.10 ?
@@STANGm06deGT definitely go 3.73 gears i have a stock 07 auto gtcs but im eventually going that route

Finally, finally, finally saved up and pulled the trigger, and was at your shop last Friday morning for my jlt, sct x4 with 87 and 93, Detroit rockers, spark plug change, and new black valve covers... all in one day! Good choice!
I had kooks long tube headers and h-pipe, detriot rocker cams, ford performance intake and throttle body, and jlt cai all installed at Brenspeed. 3 visits and each time was awesome. Had my 2010 dynoed recently and the tuner was impressed with how spot on the Brenspeed tune was for max performance and I ended up having 336 to the wheels with 303 torque at 6600 rpm, my guy pushed it just a bit more. The service and communication was great the wait time while installing was pretty quick for the task at hand. Thanks for making my ride morae fun than I could have imagined Brenspeed!
My 05 3v has BBK LT, x-pipe with highflow cats, jlt cold series 2, fp hot rod cams and my car makes 340 whp and 320 torque

Sir, GREAT video. I've been licking my chops searching for my first Mustang. Never wanted to consider a 3 valve until this. STILL want a coyote but this is a great consideration considering 3 valves are selling for $10k less

WOW! I bought my 07 GT/CS last year bone stock. I have spent the last year researching what mods are worth it and what order to do them in. Brent I wish I found this video a year ago!! Lol!! Great video, one of your best! I have all the other n/a mods done to my car: TB & spacer, underdrive pulleys, CAI, shorties and 3 Brenspeed tunes. Would love to come do a dyno pull with a “before” and then switch from shorties to long tubes, add my racing intake and a set of your Detroit rockers for the “after” pull.
Thanks for watching!
I'm so glad to hear you say you've never seen a power difference between Kooks, Pypes, or BBK. BBK is obviously the cheapest option by quite a bit and is also the set I ended up going with for that reason along with that they still come ceramic coated. I just wish BBK made a H mid pipe as well instead of X only. Wish you mentioned expected HP gains for the headers though like you did for the CAI+Tune & Camshafts! Thank you for the great advice and explanations of the parts for those who needed it!
Yah BBK just makes an X. Pypes makes an H pipe though and the price is pretty good.
Love your videos and appreciate your sharing your experience. I’m currently building a 3V that is going in my Ford Fusion. It’ll be NA, so I’m using a bunch of stuff you don’t mention (pistons and rods, highpo oil pump, etc.). Oh, and I’m throwing out the camshafts and using pneumatic valve actuation (that’s actually why i went 3 valve).
Good luck!
@@BrenspeedEngineering Thank you. The scanning dots come in today, and I have an appointment to use a 3D scanner on the heads Sunday. From there it’s into CAD to figure out exactly how much of the top of the head it’s safe to shave off to make room for the pneumatic actuators. I’ll probably spend a few weeks on that (measure 800 times, cut once).
Very informative - great video
Thank you!

Love Brendspeed!! Got their 3v detroit rocker cam in my mustang many years ago, and it was incredible. Brenspeed tune was also better than any other tune (from AM, etc.) quick note on the BBK intake though - I was NOT able to use it without a tune, and BBK didn't help at all... get the JLT instead!!
I recently picked up a bbk intake for my 3v GT should i sell it and get the JLT?
I would. BBK is same size as stock except you get the open filter. JLT is 110mm and will support everything you toss at it all motor. Plus they dont cost much compared to some others.
@@BrenspeedEngineering Thank you so much!

Youve inspired me, brother! I've already bought the Ford Racing manifold and I bought the BBK throttle body. Ive got a SCT X4 and Roush CAI. You have sold me on getting the pipes headers and your custom grind cams. I would like to know about getting a tune from you guys as well. Thanks for this video!

I'm really looking forward being up there in a week and half for my install. I gotta tell ya, this video is what really convinced me to get all of those parts!
I have never seen you tune a turbo 3v, And I’ve been watching you for years also ordering cold plugs for my turbo 3v and plug and play booster pump connector
Here is a link of one. Honestly not a big fan. Way, and I mean way back in the day I used to almost only do Hellion Turbo's on 3V's. So many down the road had issues (not just that brand) but all in general with turbo seals leaking I pretty much got away from them in general. Race cars yes, street cars.... big fan of TVS/Twin screw style or Centrifugal. So much more reliable for daily drivers which is 99% of the time what we build. Thanks! Here is a link ruclips.net/video/r1m1FVjEzqw/видео.html
Awesome informative video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Much love for the 3 valve! Great information and I can certainly attest to everything you said!
I have an '06 with the 5R55S Transmission. I have a Steeda 92mm cold air intake, Ford Racing Throttle Body, Steeda 62mm Throttle Body Spacer, Steeda Charge Motion Delete Plates, Accel Ignition Coils, Summit Racing Off Road H Pipe, MBRP Muffler Deletes and SCT4 custom tune along with Racing Synthetics and Racing Coolant for lubrication and lower engine temps. The car is making 372hp at the crank.
I managed 12.9 seconds @ 110mph at the track, 0 to 60mph in 4.5 seconds and 0 to 100mph in 10.9 seconds. I do have Falken Azenis RT615K+ Tires, too.

Thanks for the visit
Great video! If I didn't know better, I'd say the guy at Crane and you are the same person for the info given. I'm kinda thinking he watched your video and is suggesting the exact things to people. I was going to purchase thumpr cams next but he talked me into Detroit rockers.
I installed 4.10s last month. Now my car won't shift correctly and feels like it lost lower. FMS said the computer can't keep up with the info from the new gears. I am now looking at a programmer but don't want to spend a ton just to change the axle ratio, especially when other things will need tuned and I lose the tune when retuned. If that makes sense, lol. I bought forscan but have no references for what all the codes mean so haven't been able to change anything but turning the traction control light off which seems to be the most common thing people post for forscan.
I'll be doing other mods in the next year and wanted to order a programmer to do them all. But after talking with Crane, it seems I may have to just take it to a dyno shop. It's just that I'm not doing everything at once and need to drive the car as a daily.
2007 GT/CS.
Brenspeed has the best canned tune I have used.
When I put the Steeda under drive pulleys on my 3V Auto, the alternator would cut out at idle, when in gear. Raised my in gear idle speed to 700 and problem is solved.

Man I’m pretty proud of my old turd. 08 gt premium 5 speed car. Has a jlt cold air intake, gt500 twin 60mm tb, ford racing manifold, 1-3/4 longtubes, cat/muffler delete, under drive pulleys, Howard rattler cams, 4.10 gears and a 150 shot. It definitely hangs with the new car and beats a lot of them. My buddy’s fbo gen3 10 speed on e85 only beat me by half a car and I was out on him by a fender till I shifted after that I stuck to his door on a 50-130mph roll. Car runs 11.40’s but I just got a terminator shortblock we bout to put some boost to her now lol
Sounds great thanks for watching!
What's a 150 shot?
@@ChrisMillerLite I’m spraying my 3v stock bottom end with a 150 shot. Long as you got a good tune should be fine. I’ve put countless bottles through mine on a 100 and 125 shot. I just went up to a 150 and have ran a few bottles through it. Car is full bolt on cams and gears. 140k miles on the clock now

Quick questions, so overall how much horsepower and torque do these modifications provide? & also what’s the budget looking like?
I did learn something about imrc delete. i guess undrive pulleys are new lol. i do realize some engines respond differently to this but are usually engineered into this
Thanks for watching!
I love your step by step details. Hat's off two you Buddy. Where can I get prices? For everything you have talked about?
Open the description in the video. It has links to the parts.
I like the H-pipe sound
For sure!
I was wondering if you could upload a video of a cammed 3V set up that you suggest?
I will get a tune from you.. I already got the cams from you the detroits nsp. The bama tunes they very weak. What kind of power I should spect on my 08 after a tune from you? I have on my car jlt 3 series cai, long tubes, no cats with electric cut outs and flow master mufflers, 3:55 gears, manual transmission. 24540zr19 tires on the back. I want the most power out of my car. Thanks for your videos. They are very helpful 🙂
“Special Naturally Aspirated Grind”. The difference between an NA cam and a boosted cam is the lobe Separation and duration.
A cam designed for boost in a naturally aspirated engine can cause vacuum loss which will effect brakes and other accessories.
I'll take everything but the pulley!!! Oh, I also need to find a 3valver!!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂! Great info👍👍💪💪
Thanks for watching!
Love this content, my only question would be what do you recommend for rotating assemblies? Like if I wanted to stay NA. Would a high revving and high compression build be worth it?
We use Manley for rotating assemblies. I would contact them to see if you can get high compression pistons. We have not done that NA as everybody wants the built engine for supercharged applications and normally stay around 9.8 compression on pump gas. As far as worth it I would say higher compression NA is going to get you more power for sure but just not sure how much.
I have a 07 Saleen S331. This truck is supercharged and came with 450hp. I’d like get this motor up to a reliable 700hp ish range.
Would we need to start with a fully built short block then ad the top end + supercharger? I’ve found some 1000hp blocks for sale. Let’s talk. I want a big cam lope and want it angry and reliable.
Important to know the FRM and 62mm throttle body will not live up to their full potential unless you procharge with either cam or turbo. In fact you will lose low end torque and only gain subtle Hp at high rpm.
I just bought a SCT x4 tuner and bbk long tubes ,bbk catted xpipe, and a magnaflow catback. I just don’t know if I will need a tune or not when I run headers or if it’s okay to run headers on the stock air box and your channel has been very helpful because I’ve had my 3v for a couple of years now that I’m 16 I was able to get a job to mod my 3v so I’m a little bit lost on how things are supposed to go
You will need a tune for the headers and you can run the headers on the stock air box it has nothing to do with it
You can install the long tubes without a header tune. You will likely get a CEL code for transport delay bank 1 and 2 so you will have to see a check engine light every time you drive. This can be adjusted in the tune. The code itself will not cause the car to run bad it will just be annoying. Then later when you save up some cash you can get a tune for the mods you have at that time.
I just got a reference to check out your channel by a race car driver who you you probably don't know. He spoke highly about you and Mustangs. I am in Michigan I have a 2016 Mustang GT premium. I would love to have it up to close to 600 horsepower.
Simply go with a Roush Phase 2 or Whipple stage 2 and you are over 600.
Gonna try and apply some of these ideas to my 07' sport Trac. It's a 2 wheel drive... So I figured what the heck... Lol
Search our channel for "Stryker" that is our 4.6L 3V sport trac supercharger package. So awesome.
Thanks!
And thanks for watching!
I have an 05 GT really don't know what or if anything had been done to it, other than it has a complete Flow Master exhaust with cats X pipe. So I did not want to alter the X pipe as it bolted to the stock Man. and was all flow master I saw the stamps so I went with shorty headers so they would bolt right into place. I'm happy with my set up I may look into the intake and pullys I won't be doing a blower was never a fan and I'm 62..
Sounds like a cool car!
Nice

I wish this video existed about a month ago before I crashed my three valve. I had jlt series three cold air intake, Ford performance 62 mm throttlebody, 91 octane Bama tune, pypes catted h pipe and slp loudmouth muffler deletes. I loved my 3v😭
oh no,,what happened?
@@robertswift6101 rear ended someone and car was totaled. I upgraded to a 13 5.0, but I do miss my 3 valve. Nothing compares to the sound that 4.6 motor makes.
Dang sorry to hear about the wreck! Enjoy your new coyote!
Aye bro do you still have the parts from the car sorry to hear about your Pony….
@@sofakingraw4149 I do not. Am sorry m8.
Brenspeed did the Pypes long tubes, high-flow cats, X pipe, a cold air and the tune on my '06 GT two years ago now, and it was money well spent.
Some relatively mild improvements that were immediately apparent performance-wise and probably the cheapest HP increase one can buy.
Thanks for the comment! Can't go wrong with those parts.
Saw another video where the Dyno numbers were better with stock manifold throught the entire curve. They had at least 3 different sets of Dyno numbers. Reason is the butterflies cause air turbulence causing a better air fuel mix. He had the new FR intake, but put oem back on because of it. Just what I saw recently.
We have done that same testing on full bolt on cars and not seen that. Here is one stock vs all mods but if you search around our videos there are one or two doing just the intake on full bolt on cars. ruclips.net/video/Aem7owz4V2E/видео.html
Can't keep the CEL off after long tubes and H pipe,, and noticable gains
If I upgrade my manifold will it cause my car to not pass emissions.?
