1: unless you guys did something weird in game - the 30 mm gunpods on the G-14 impact performance less according to the modifications/secondary weapons screens 2: The 30 mm, while having less ammo and perhaps a little trickier to aim with different drop on a 3rd weapon type, are way more efficient at sending someone back to the hanger 3: The most important one - say 'they don't really impact performance', when the guy running a clean set up can run them down, out climb them, and out turn them. There's a reason even in reality modifications with the gunpods were viewed and used more with the idea of bomber destroyers because of the impacts it had on fighter vs fighter performance.
Personally I love to use the Do 335 B-2 for booming and zooming. It's definitely more of a boomer than a zoomer, but it usually has just enough speed to do the job
I would also have mentioned the French VB10s. They can dive to ridiculous speeds for their BRs, and can maintain those speeds and climb back up really easily

The S-199 Sakeen is a suprisingly amazing Boom-And-Zoomer at its Battle Rating, having ridiculously strong armament (but pretty medicore accuracy, especially for players like me, who got used to Soviet nose-mounted guns).
I personnally use the P38 L-0 with 2 gun pods (2 12.7mm guns each). It's not the best at its BR, and It's quite hard to use it properly when you don't have a lot of experience, I use it simply because It's my favorite airctaft from ww2.
Just wanna mention the underrated french VB.10, especially in Air-Sim. Flight handles more like a Jet. Its basically a Hornet just 2 BRs lower, except the gorgeous climb rate.

@@XimTraax I´ve never said that, I said that the tracer rounds should have close to identical velocity to the non tracer rounds and thus making the statement of the guy before invalid. Why the hell would you use tracers when they have a different trajectory then normal rounds? Wouldn´t that defeat the purpose of tracer ammunition entirely? And if you hit nothing, it can´t ignite nothing.. of course it could ignite a vapor trail of fuel.. but an undamage aircraft won´t leak that amounts of fuel to be ignited. Except the SR-2 until a certain altitude and speed of course.

@@Luger_P08no, but mishandling with full real controls will totally end with you in a spin though. It takes some practice to master, but they allow you to extract more performance out of your plane.
American plane are great boom and zoomer but they have a very horrible or average climbrate. German prop other hand has a beast of a climbrate like the 109 which has 3 20mm guns for g2 varient and above.( However they were nerf)
in the game description yes, but when you join in the map to play... the things are different. much different! even the P47 D can outclimb anything in germany prop tech. ANYTHING. and perfom much better, has more power on engine and better guns and turn rate. Germany tree line is good in terms of history, but is very poor in terms of performance. the only planes there i really trust is the FW 190 A1 and A 4 and bf 109 G2 trop. and BF 190 F series. all others aircrafts, i am serious, ALL others, have no advatage.
Day 13: Please add the Defiant in the British tech tree at battle rating 2.0-2.7 not a premium please ik its not that great but i just want an intercepter at 2.0 to take out Bombers i mean like its just a fighter that can engage enemy bombers quiker which can help alot with te back guns you can take out bombers from 500m under the bomber so it will be a good bomber killer but is weak againtst fighters i think

I'm frustrated by enemy rounds by chasing fighters doing absolutely nothing to friendly ground targets I'm flying over... Don't believe me, blast your own AAA and nothing.
I dont use gun pods on Bf 109 G or K because it does make the performance worse even if just for a bit. 20mm gun pods have more drag and weight than 30mm ones. I use just the engine cannon either 20 or 30mm one along side the 13mm
tbh the extra firepower is really worth the little bit of extra drag. being able to destroy a target in a single pass with your guns is pretty important because of how pitiful thw damage output of the guns are from realshatter. the small performance hit shouldnt really matter anyways, unless you're fighting someone that has equal skill to you in the exact same place, which shouldnt be too common

As someone who only plays USA planes. You can do everything right and will still lose 85-90% of the time. It’s just the way the game is rigged. For instance today I was flying my -4 Corsair. I was at 22,000ft and a bf109 F was at 17. I dove on him. Stayed straight line. Next thing I know he has j turned is on my 6 and climbing while gaining on me. Then I watched as he dove on me to gain. I would pull away as he level or then he would climb and dove again. All the time inching closer to me. I just dragged the game out until time was up cause there was nothing I could do. My point is just accept that as USA you will lose a lot even if you do everything right.

I love the P-38s. Fast and punchy but still agile enough to keep up with lighter fighters if they aren't expecting it

The Ki-44 II Hei is a whole lot worse than the Ki-44 II Otsu, once you consider the Otsu is 0.7 BR lower just because it has weaker fire power.

My personal favorite will always be the Bf110 G-2. Only need one barrage and the enemy burns, and if i get targeted, i can just outrun them.
The P47 is a lot better than a P51 at BnZ.
I have also found out that the p47 is extremely good in head ons

Thats just an arcade thing, in RB and SB you have to manually eject (unless your pilot dies).

That is how it looks in the replay and spectating system.
Did you know that most bullets move fast and are hard to see? The plane was hit enough to catch fire, that is all that was needed.

All these awesome planes and then there's me: stuck in the P-36 G. It's technically a boom and zoomer. Still, much, much pain.
Why does the Tiger H1 have smoke grenade launchers on the hull but you can't use them and they get in the way of the turret traverse?

I wouldn't really call the p-51 "versatile" It's mainly just a boom& zoomer. A bf 109 has more options in combat style than the mustang
