Unluckily because of the same stupid gamemodes the fw190 it's suitable just for enduring confrontation. And in simulator it is a real beast. Some takeoff flaps and you can outturn many plebs. Rate of climb, pffff, what a joke. You should do something alongside your pc in order to not lose patience

@Jonathan Eanes I play rb and usually see a 264 way higher than my b17 sometimes despite having a lower climb rate. Even my p38 can't reach them sometimes even with it being spaded for the most part and I end up getting shredded by every other German plane that can climb right in front of our bombers. The american planes can't climb like that and usually end up behind and below the bombers, not to mention the 264 can do almost everything better than allied bombers

I love this plane though there are people who are crying that it should be 1.7 again instead of 2.0 which is not needed in my opinion. You can't kill a bomber with it's weapons but everything else is no problem.
I think once you get past the first jets, boom and zooming isn’t a viable tactic anymore, because jets in a dive can only go slightly faster than jets in a straight line.
@@rn-zu5ld The P-51D out dives nearly all opponents at 5.0, and is also very agile at high speeds due to its laminar flow wings which gives added agility when closing fast on prey in a boom and zoom. 6 .50cals do good work too. It does have poor performance at low speeds, but if you become slow and low then you would be doing BnZ wrong in the first place.
You need to be very skilled to make this plane work, dealing with bf 109s and fw 190s that can kill you in one hit. It's a plane that only works in 1v1 imo. Something that is very uncommon in air rb. (I'm talking about the p51D)

FunkyEspelhoCat ive outflown many planes in the 51 including zeros (actually dogfighting it and a 109 and a ju 88/ do 217 dont remember which) and I killed the 109 and outflew the german nightfighter along with the zero for about 3-4 mins. I was the last man standing on my team so naturally I was doomed but dont say the 51D cant put a fight against more than one opponent and I did put up a fight considering I was scissoring with them for about 4 mins, killing of 1/3 of them.
PT is better cuz you trade one gun for two missiles that can delete dumb Phantom pilots who think just flying straight will save them if they're faster.

When Gaijin say the J2M and 109 have weak armaments with 'only' 1-2 cannons, it really tells me a lot about their balance philosophy and whether they actually play the game in the wild.
Depends on which armament we compare it to. 4 Brownings? Then it's good. 6 Brownings? Then it's not very strong, but toleratable. 8 Brownings? Then it's weak.

360_Gangster Elite when you have have a plane that out planes all other nations (for that BR), those nations are bound to get annoyed obviously. Their alleged flaws are minuscule and the maps are perfect for them (minus British channel), generally small range with quick climbs being key. Also as the first comment just said, *he was outturned in a zero on multiple occasions* (yes I know energy fighting is a thing, which the 109 still wafflestomps all others in, but having that occur that many times is stupid) Not to mention how you guys have the only bombers not made of paper and can easily go into the stratosphere.
As a guy who’s only been playing this game for the last 2 months and is now on rank 3 sigma male grinding on USSR I gotta say the I-185 M82 is one hell of a plane to BnZ because the thing can go about 700 or 670kmh without breaking the wing and it’s 3 x 20 mm guns could kill anything you target below with like 1 or 2 shots... I mean that’s just my opinion... haven’t discovered too much as am only focusing on one country for now...

At rank 4 i would pick this over the F7F any day of the week. Their performance is comparable but it has an excellent roll and when diving at 800km/h it can make a hell of a difference.
The A-36 (USA) is a great Boom n Zoom, if you have the extra MG's attached. I use it all the time. In combination with the Stealth ammo belt, it works like a charm.

It is good that you mentioned the central placed armament of the Ta-152H1 as an advantage. But this way you also should mentioned as an disadvantage for the fighters (the most iconic US and Britain fighters had wing mounted guns or cannons) who are not blessed with this important difference. I found it so easy to shoot and got kills with the, mostly german or russian,central placed armament planes and it is in contrary more than a bit difficult for me to get the same "ammonition hit rate" with (outer) wing mounted armament planes. So, now - after taking some time to figure that out - I prefer planes with wing mounted cannons or guns. The best choice for me is a plane with centralized guns or cannons, just one caliber of them. Because the aiming point in Arcade is based on the biggest caliber on your plane so you are likely missing with your tinier caliber guns or cannons. So when you use something like a spitfire with an 20 mm and 7,7 mm you should give this some importance, and by the way you also must fire your bullets at the right distance - so that their are not crossing on point long before or behind the enemy. That are problems you don't face with centralized armament planes of one or a rather similar caliber. In some degree the flying characteristics are not that important, at least in arcade (because of the most very dense sky with quick battles everywhere) and realistic (because of the limited ammo, so every burst should count) - simulator is quit different, the flying characteristics are the most important - you had to first face your enemy before you should even thing of shooting.

In fast planes use takeoff and landing flaps Slow planes? Use landing flaps Want to land? Set the landing gear and switch the three flaps and make it nose up a little and remember to slowdown Want go left? Roll the plane to between left and up and use landing flaps Want to go right? The C202 EC with a pair of italian 12.7s and another pair of german 20mm cannons. Fast, agile, maneuverable, and powerful. With a side of elegance as well!
No mention of the G55 or any italian plane at all, I've had major succes with those seeing as how they have amazing belts and armament, and outspeed/climb most
At its rank and potential battle the F-80 Sabre is deadly. Almost no plane can catch it unless its in a turn or you are at Max speed in a dive due to the jet engine and massive climb difference
In low tier, in the category of beginner friendly boom and zoom (in BR 1.7) I can mention : Russia : Mig-3-15, awesome climb rate and dive speed and energy retention, very sturdy, but the most challenging because of its awful manoeuvrability Germany : He-112-A-0, really versatile and a really hard hitting 20mm, it can shred any aircraft of its rank, but poor energy retention; He100, incredible dive speed and energy retention, but only three 7,92mm MGs can be sometimes a bit insufficient against all metal planes USA : F2A-1, very agile, monstrous firepower, like the F2A-3; in the same BR, we have P36-A, more challenging due to its only two MGs, but even a single M2 Browning can be a really threat for an enemy airplane. France : Dewoitine 501 and 510, like the He112-A-0, got a hard punching 20mm canon, awesome turn time and roll rate, but few amount of ammo for its 20mm canon China : CW-21, the king of low tier boom and zoomers, it has it all, incredible rate of climb, dive speed, energy retention, can perform well in dogfight if you missed your target in your dive and a wonderful firepower.
Actually F4U Corsair series is normally for Boom and Zoom but in game if you go down it is hard to go back up but it has good fire power and all of them are nearly at rank ||| only 1 is at rank || and that is F4U-1A Corsair.
FW 190 is the safest boom and zoom huh, what about A36, which I survived a FW190 head on with and killed the 190 as well, and I didn’t have the extra .50cals under the wing I only had the 6 .50cals instead of the 10 you get with gun pods
I’m not too experienced but I did notice the typhoon is an excellent boom and zoom aircraft especially when u reach the one armed with cannons. Probably not as effective as the other b&z aircraft in its tier but overall seems underrated. It can turn fight, carries decent payload and has fantastic rate of climb rate of acceleration and retention of speed in the zoom out.
The ki-44 II Otsu is pretty good too, high top speed (600km/h) even at 3.7 (it sits at br 2.3 in rb), high climb rate even when compared with spitfires (18m/s), and all of that with x2 japanese .50 cals and x2 40mm cannons. On top of all that it has decent maneuverability. A very honorabu aircraft indeed.
I haven’t flown it in war thunder but realistically the English electric lightning should have had the best climb rate in the game because it could fly vertically for the longest distance and time for its period and it broke many records because of it (it could climb vertically for 3 minutes straight allowing it to reach a total altitude of 36,000ft in 3 minutes, that’s higher than mt. Everest).
You missed the P-80F Shooting star!!! I can't keep count of how many enemy aircraft I've downed with the P-80, and out of every plane in the game I have taken down x3 as many aircraft as in my 2nd most used aircraft, and in an hour I can get axe after ace after ace but only in the P-80F It may not have the best speed or maneuverability, but it's small silhouette makes it very hard to spot, Especially if the jet is diving on you, and it's too late to turn when you see it because it's already passed you, emptied a 2 second worth of ammunition and left your aircraft burning. It's is a reason it's got the nickname "The Shooting Star"

The P-47 also gets APIT rounds for its MGs, which literally sets anything on fire!
Late I rounds (20 or 23, cant recall exact number) are better than APIT in every regard, making stealth belt a bit better overall ;)
20mm G2 Cannon can splice out your left wing no effort, stealth belt with the HE-I, best 20mm cannon rounds for RB

Personally the G2/Trop is the best performing B&Z aircraft and can surprisingly outtern 99% if in the hands of a capable pilot.

F4u corsair is really, really good at boom and zoom.
At rank 4 i would pick this over the F7F any day of the week. Their performance is comparable but it has an excellent roll and when diving at 800km/h it can make a hell of a difference.

Italy has some great B&Z fighters. The C.205 Serie 3 and C.202 EC are one of my favourites
The best aircraft for boom and zoom is definitely the BF-109 F4
And the spitfire mk2b

The A-36 (USA) is a great Boom n Zoom, if you have the extra MG's attached. I use it all the time. In combination with the Stealth ammo belt, it works like a charm.
When are you going to add air to air missiles to the American sabres? All variants of the Sabre got them at some point.

Because American sabers were never equipped with air to air missiles they were only equipped to the export versions. And by the time the sidewinder were developed the Americans had the F100

It is good that you mentioned the central placed armament of the Ta-152H1 as an advantage.
But this way you also should mentioned as an disadvantage for the fighters (the most iconic US and Britain fighters had wing mounted guns or cannons) who are not blessed with this important difference.
I found it so easy to shoot and got kills with the, mostly german or russian,central placed armament planes and it is in contrary more than a bit difficult for me to get the same "ammonition hit rate" with (outer) wing mounted armament planes.
So, now - after taking some time to figure that out - I prefer planes with wing mounted cannons or guns.
The best choice for me is a plane with centralized guns or cannons, just one caliber of them. Because the aiming point in Arcade is based on the biggest caliber on your plane so you are likely missing with your tinier caliber guns or cannons.
So when you use something like a spitfire with an 20 mm and 7,7 mm you should give this some importance, and by the way you also must fire your bullets at the right distance - so that their are not crossing on point long before or behind the enemy.
That are problems you don't face with centralized armament planes of one or a rather similar caliber.
In some degree the flying characteristics are not that important, at least in arcade (because of the most very dense sky with quick battles everywhere) and realistic (because of the limited ammo, so every burst should count) - simulator is quit different, the flying characteristics are the most important - you had to first face your enemy before you should even thing of shooting.

Make the plane stabilized by rolling
To stop nosing down use combat flaps but if the plane is slow use takeoff flaps
Wanna head up? In fast planes use takeoff and landing flaps
Slow planes? Use landing flaps
Want to land? Set the landing gear and switch the three flaps and make it nose up a little and remember to slowdown
Want go left? Roll the plane to between left and up and use landing flaps
Want to go right? Roll the plane to between right and up and use landing flaps

The BF-109 G6. It can do a full WEP climb to 5000 m without overheating, and that's with the 2 additional 20 mm cannons attached.
The B-57A is the BEST BNZ plane.
At its rank and potential battle the F-80 Sabre is deadly. Almost no plane can catch it unless its in a turn or you are at Max speed in a dive due to the jet engine and massive climb difference
In low tier, in the category of beginner friendly boom and zoom (in BR 1.7) I can mention :
Russia : Mig-3-15, awesome climb rate and dive speed and energy retention, very sturdy, but the most challenging because of its awful manoeuvrability
Germany : He-112-A-0, really versatile and a really hard hitting 20mm, it can shred any aircraft of its rank, but poor energy retention; He100, incredible dive speed and energy retention, but only three 7,92mm MGs can be sometimes a bit insufficient against all metal planes
USA : F2A-1, very agile, monstrous firepower, like the F2A-3; in the same BR, we have P36-A, more challenging due to its only two MGs, but even a single M2 Browning can be a really threat for an enemy airplane.
France : Dewoitine 501 and 510, like the He112-A-0, got a hard punching 20mm canon, awesome turn time and roll rate, but few amount of ammo for its 20mm canon
China : CW-21, the king of low tier boom and zoomers, it has it all, incredible rate of climb, dive speed, energy retention, can perform well in dogfight if you missed your target in your dive and a wonderful firepower.
Actually F4U Corsair series is normally for Boom and Zoom but in game if you go down it is hard to go back up but it has good fire power and all of them are nearly at rank ||| only 1 is at rank || and that is F4U-1A Corsair.

FW 190 is the safest boom and zoom huh, what about A36, which I survived a FW190 head on with and killed the 190 as well, and I didn’t have the extra .50cals under the wing I only had the 6 .50cals instead of the 10 you get with gun pods
the vg 33, it's like the worst surprise for ennemies, and a head one still perfect
I’m not too experienced but I did notice the typhoon is an excellent boom and zoom aircraft especially when u reach the one armed with cannons. Probably not as effective as the other b&z aircraft in its tier but overall seems underrated. It can turn fight, carries decent payload and has fantastic rate of climb rate of acceleration and retention of speed in the zoom out.

My favorite boom and zoom plane is the BV 238
The ki-44 II Otsu is pretty good too, high top speed (600km/h) even at 3.7 (it sits at br 2.3 in rb), high climb rate even when compared with spitfires (18m/s), and all of that with x2 japanese .50 cals and x2 40mm cannons. On top of all that it has decent maneuverability.
A very honorabu aircraft indeed.
But still, i'm glad it wasn't mentioned on this top 10, since it is a premium vehicle.

I haven’t flown it in war thunder but realistically the English electric lightning should have had the best climb rate in the game because it could fly vertically for the longest distance and time for its period and it broke many records because of it (it could climb vertically for 3 minutes straight allowing it to reach a total altitude of 36,000ft in 3 minutes, that’s higher than mt. Everest).
P-40e1 Ground Target For ammo
I recommend the American a-36 Apache for boom and zoom it’s fast as shiiiiii and can have gun pods on the wings so it has almost 10 guns
p-38j also had a good rate of climb and within certain limits would dive as well.
F82 is a great BnZ plane when spaded. Those 14MGs are unbeatable.

I can't keep count of how many enemy aircraft I've downed with the P-80, and out of every plane in the game I have taken down x3 as many aircraft as in my 2nd most used aircraft, and in an hour I can get axe after ace after ace but only in the
P-80F
It may not have the best speed or maneuverability, but it's small silhouette makes it very hard to spot, Especially if the jet is diving on you, and it's too late to turn when you see it because it's already passed you, emptied a 2 second worth of ammunition and left your aircraft burning.
It's is a reason it's got the nickname "The Shooting Star"

P-39N - 37mm - 1 hit kill - can reach 860 kph - great energy retention to regain altitude without losing so much energy in the dive. 860kph in second era plane? That is something. Same goes to the evolution the p-63-A10...
BF-109’s are good boom and zoom fighters, I personally use those and fw-190’s
