    No vocalist in this world has the balls to start a concert with a song like Collision, it can screw your vocal chords for the rest of the concert. Not Mike Patton, hats off... he has amazing vocal capabilities. Absolute ownage from start to finish.

      @@shannongraham3055 Same..I was in Perth, Australia in 91, just turned 15 and sneaked out the back of the audience, the show, 2 songs left and suddenly they're walking out infront of me and Jim asks if I want to jump in the minivan with them so we all did. So surreal sitting with Mike Patton and boys..We drove around as Mike Patton and all wanted to see what a suburb called Innaloo would look like after seeing the sign on a Highway. Then again I was in Melbourne in 93 for work, my new job directly from meeting them in Perth, Australia, Jim Martin and I kept in touch so he called me down to go catch up with them there too on the Angel Dust tour. It was some of the best days of my life..and I'd travelled all around and met many bands, from Slash to Duff Mckagan, Kurt Cobain, the best. But Mike Patton was the secret love of my life since then..lol...the Melbourne, Australia memories were etched into my heart forever.✌🏼

    They threw down hard at this show. Everything was clicking. I also like the heavier ending to Epic here. Collision and Naked In Front of the Computer were heavy as hell. Hudson doesn't get enough credit. Clean and accurate playing.

      He is not exactly the most charismatic dude but yes, his playing is precise and he can capture every era of the band.

    • @RC-fi8nn
      @RC-fi8nn Год назад

      He's a solid player for sure. But he also strikes me as someone who won't rattle any cages and basically do what's ask of him. Opposed to Jim Martin who was a more forthright, stubborn, maybe contrary, character. Certainly, the mix of strong personalities with Jim in the band led to more conflict and fights. But it also led to the band's best music. I like KFAD and AOTY, but they always struck me as fairly standard, albeit very good, alternative rock albums. But they severely lack the character and adventure of IY, TRT and AD.

      @@RC-fi8nn i really love KFAD. I think it is a couple notches above AOTY and all that has come after. There are some tracks I can’t really fuck with any more but Spruance’s playing is really interesting and Mike is in peak vocal form. Take this Bottle, Last to Know, Just a Man…that is a great album to my ears.

    Saw them live on this tour in Philadelphia. So glad I saw that show. Seeing this video now is magical. They were in top form in 97 after the 90s music explosion had waned and it seemed like no one else had any more good ideas. Faith No More captured the end of an era, while Album of the Year seemed to underscore the tragedies and losses of the dying music industry.

      @@EyesHaveMiles420 - It was a long time ago, and I had tons of energy. I love the heat. Mid-summer is my favorite time of year. I used to love running on Kelly Drive in muggy 95°F heat in mid-July. There’s nothing better in my opinion, so when Faith No More took the stage in tuxedos and proceeded to blast us in tens of thousands of watts of the percussive sound waves of songs like Naked in Front of the Computer, Mouth to Mouth, Got That Feeling, etc. I was in fucking bliss.
