Wait are you talking about how this is from a direct line into the sound board? Cause that's true but it isnt from an album... it's the sound from this show.
La banda más infravalorada de todos los tiempos. Mike siempre dándolo todo, en cada una de las interpretaciones. Sin dudas una de las mejores bandas del mundo e inspiración para muchas.
If this was all soundboard, it would be the fucking greatest FNM live recording ever. That being said, I thank you, and this is fucking amazing. My heart aches for this shit and this has eased it... X
Mike's antics and dance moves make me feel tired just watching. Wow, what a showman and singer! Sometimes I think he would have blown out a hip or his pelvis with his moves. What a tremendous show here! LONG LIVE FNM!
Was at this show…..remember when they were doing a singing in a tent a fan climbed above the tent then fell onto it and rolled down in front of them! Best show I’ve seen!
holy crap - can't believe i found this! I was there, and watching it and listening now confirms how good i remember it. listening to Radio 1 on the way to the festival, the DJ said that this festival was the best line up of all time. Fuck - good times...
To know this was before Disco Volante 1996 tour is crazy

Increíble todo suena perfecto. En los 90's estos tipos sonaban ULTRA AFIATADOS. No es solo Mike quien está con su voz perfecta en este show, sino que también todos funcionando como 1 sola entidad.
My God the sound is phenomenal. I can't get over it. Never heard a live recording of them that is this well mixed. Come to think of it, I've never seen another video of them (post Real Thing) that is soundboard. Anyone know of any others?
BBC mobile recording. It's pretty much the The Faith No More Bootleg. Amazing sound, performance and set. They really should do an official release but the BBC may own the recording. It's easy enough to find on torrent sites but I'd love to give the band some money for this as it really is one of the best bootlegs I've heard.
Look for the "Phoenix Rising" 1993 video. It's on here. The video is unprofessional handheld just like this one, but the sound is soundboard and phenomenal in quality. I think it was the final show of the Angel Dust tour, and in turn, Jim Martin's final show with the band.
The best sound (as far as being close to the original show) is the BBC broadcast of Sheffield Arena gig 5th December 1992. Monumental sound, crushing and crystal clear. I know, I was there.
Oh yes! fanx VERY much 4 the upload - was there in '93 for their saturday nite headline set & they were such a fucking awesome act to see live. They had so much raw energy & were closer to punk than many of the other grunge bands around at that time. Brilliant memories, I've got 2 say!
Wow great performance. I find the quality of the vocals can vary a lot from show to show depending on Mike's willingness to just screw around. Here it's really great.
I think it's according to if he's sick of the song or not. Here he had just gotten rid of Martin (mistake) and he was finally doing what he wanted with the band. So he's enjoying himself and actually trying...for once.
Nº de Músicas dos álbuns: 1995, King For A Day - 10 + 2 B-Side 1992, Angel Dust - 4 1989, The Real Thing - 1 1987, Introduce Yourself - 2 1985, We Care A Lote - 1
You're right. Billy's the only one who's still got the fire in him. But in a way, that sort of makes sense. Because, even though I believe that it was Bordin who started the band, Billy's always been the heart and spirit of FNM. Another important factor is that, back in the day, they were constantly fighting and arguing with each other. They had to STRANGLE each other to write those songs. But today they're all mature and grown up and they've buried the hatchet. Which is good for them, but...
I've never found another performance where Patton raises the pitch when singing "what is it?" in Epic as he does here after the guitar solo. It sounds perfect. Anybody knows about any other performance?
Jesus christ this audio quality. Live can sound better than studio when done right, more naked and raw, not muffled and politely channeled; here it is crip and clear like a studio recording yet so raw and explosive. Something you can't capture in a studio.
I definitely prefer Angel Dust. I mean, they're both very creatively charged albums, but in different ways. King For a Day jumps between various genres, whereas Angel Dust combines them (which I personally find more interesting and inspired). Regardless of that preference, though, King For a Day is a fucking badass album.
BareBandSubscription Angel Dust is one of the greatest albums ever, in any genre. The album is just bursting with creativity and originality. I hadn't heard anything like it before when it first came out, and I haven't heard anything like it since. Even FNM themselves couldn't make something that sounded like it if they tried today, IMO. KFAD is also a great album, but not nearly as original as Angel Dust and not in the same league. There are a few songs I can skip on KFAD and not miss. I can't do that with Angel Dust. Well, maybe besides RV.
Well done for the sync between the cd of this show and the video. This is the 1st time I've seen the video and I was there having a great 4 days. Jurassic parks and Doves etc. Where does he pee on stage though? I dont remember that.
I'm really surprised that some folks prefer Dean over John. Stage wise I agree. I might even agree with the fact that Dean adds more in terms of tone and energy, but sometimes he gets too far away from the original guitar lines for my taste- to where it just sounds wrong. John might be stiff on stage, but he's always rock solid on his playing. I really think he's the best guy for FNM right now, but Jim will always be the man.
I like King for a Day....Fool for a Lifetime but..as much as Martin and Patton had a difference in musical tastes, something JUST clicked on 'The Real Thing' and 'Angel Dust' with THAT lineup. Jim Martin will always be THE guitarist for me, with John being second choice.
+Jawsh “Jawshco” Murdock Dean Menta fucking sucked. he made mistakes all over the place, his riffing was sloppy and undefined. I refused to see them on this tour. John Hudson is OK but purely functional. He still looks like a rabbit in the headlights though after 17 years and looks still very nervous on stage. jim was THE man.
Agreed! The only one still kicking this much ass today is Billy Gould. He still slams that bass and shakes and convulses all over the place. Bordin has to be the most disappointing these days, Ozzy really turned him into a singer's drummer. He's so laid back and easy on the drums these days compared to this. We all get old I guess! 92 is my favorite era, 95 is a close 2nd for me.
I dont care if im wrong, but for me this is the best band in the history of music, love them.
You"re 100% right.
No, adaigo
you are not wrong
No se si sea la mejor banda del mundo pero la voz de patton debe ser la mas poderosa del jodido mundo.
if we can consider Autechre not a band, and we actually could.
King for a Day tour is so magnificent !!! Many perfect performances …1995 is my the best year of my life…
1995 was the best year of my life to brother
the sound is perfect
like the band
this is a album, the video is a vhs.
Wait are you talking about how this is from a direct line into the sound board? Cause that's true but it isnt from an album... it's the sound from this show.
yes , I don't know why M4RT1N says its an album!!
+Manu Smith Google Traductor for the english people: El sonido esta puesto encima, eso es sonido de estudio que está puesto encima del video
Being a massive fan of FNM my whole life, I have to say this is one of those "special" performances! Mike's voice was really on form this night!!
Agreed 8 years later, hope you’re still alive to enjoy🤗🍻
@@gregiep123 This is so weird! I was just watching this tonight and saw my old comment, only to find that a few hours later you replied to it! lol
I feel like Mike was on fire the majority of 95. He had many shows with very good vocals. I mean he always does but you know what I mean
What a performance!! Love the cafeïne version!
@@wm1573 95-97 seemed to be his peak for live vocals. Power and refinement.
I was at this. The Caffeine bit was MENTAL.
Patton's pitch is incredible given how animated he is. Even on the low notes he nails them.
La banda más infravalorada de todos los tiempos.
Mike siempre dándolo todo, en cada una de las interpretaciones.
Sin dudas una de las mejores bandas del mundo e inspiración para muchas.
My once a year comment on Deans playing…..so awesome! Loved he was playing a Strat in FNM!
Isnt it spreuance
@@Qwerty-h4q4m Spruance wrote it, but didn’t tour.
Dean is pretty damn overlooked.
their best show!! absolute peak moment!!
I was there, a memorable festival. Phoenix festival had the best line ups
I bought this bootleg on CD at the time in a legit record store, nice souvenir, thx for posting
I really dig Patton's voice in this recording. The band overall sounds fantastic. This is the golden age of FNM in my opinion.
Gould's bass on 'We Care a Lot' just earth shakingly awesome. It's a dirty job but someone's gotta do it! Well done gentlemen. Brava from Shanghai!
Great sound, great band!
Best live show of all time, all bands, all genres.. period......
If this was all soundboard, it would be the fucking greatest FNM live recording ever. That being said, I thank you, and this is fucking amazing. My heart aches for this shit and this has eased it... X
damn Mike! We do care a lot.
Dobrze wykonują ,swuj potencjał.Wokalista dobra ekwilibrystyka ,wytrzymuje i zachęca dobrą,barwą.
Please never ever take this down, very very glad I could find a link back to this. Thank you so much for this upload
excellent upload. thanks. grew up on these guys. glad to hear some angel dust songs mixed in.. we did some covers off that album.
what a sound, this is sick as f. Dean Menta has such a great tone.
What I would give to gave been there 😍 his voice is just pure eargasm
I was, the sound was unbelievable.
Especially the middle section of caffeine, you feel Bills bass in your chest.
Mike's antics and dance moves make me feel tired just watching. Wow, what a showman and singer! Sometimes I think he would have blown out a hip or his pelvis with his moves. What a tremendous show here! LONG LIVE FNM!
They are on fire!!! I can't get over how young and bouncy Patton is here. BEST BAND EVER! :) Thanks for the upload!
Was at this show…..remember when they were doing a singing in a tent a fan climbed above the tent then fell onto it and rolled down in front of them!
Best show I’ve seen!
The Gentle Art of Making Enemies at his finest. Amazing!!!
Deans guitar playing is quality, I think he made the classic guitar parts of FNM songs sound a bit more modern on this tour.
@@DuspHasInfluenza You're not Dean.
More punk crisp and energetic. My fav live version of band. With some Jim 1993 shows lol
This sounds amazing!!!!!!!
Amazing!
54:50 min. Mike pissing on stage, lol 😂
And again at 57:01 ? Someone get the guy a bottle? 😂
fuck yea.. Mike is a beast here
lo mejor FAITH NO MORE
This is my personal favorite version of the band -- "King For A Day,...." - my favorite record of theirs as well. This sounds amazing.
holy crap - can't believe i found this! I was there, and watching it and listening now confirms how good i remember it. listening to Radio 1 on the way to the festival, the DJ said that this festival was the best line up of all time. Fuck - good times...
Why is the recording so bad but the sound so good!?!?
I love that transition from Glory Box to We Care A Lot
Wow, Patton’s voice!
I was just watching some 2015 Re-united shows and thinking how good those were till I discovered this. What an amazing band. Thanks for posting.
The sound quality 😍👌🏻✨

One of many amazing performances of one of my favorite bands in the whole world
With Phoenix 1993 their best recording
I would add Bizarre Festival 1997 to that
Deans guitar on Be Aggressive is everything!!!
ON FIRE
This band sounds like 1 entity. That's the mision for any band.
Damn I never saw this show before. Talk about throwing down! And Mike whipped it out too?! LOL
I remember being a freshman in high school listening to them I love them!
Love hearing the Chuck songs 🎵 sung by Mike.
I have the cd since 25 years ago. Totally amazing, the best FNM times... For me si the best Live versión of “EPIC” Eder..
I WAS THERE!!!! awesome upload, thank you so much!!!!
Me too, the reason I brought a ticket, awsome set.
Still listening to them in 2018, with new album out as Well. 😁
Dean`s guitar is much more present than you have ever heard Jon`s.
Very cool!
Soo mad I found out about this band too late😡...
Well at least you discovered this gem of a band. You also cant control when you were born , implying you might be under 40 .
Touring again no biggie when co-vid is over ticket for Brixton in my hand
fuck me this is charming for it's raw quality but also fantastic! thank you !
I have been see FNM 4 times and Mike Patton alone with Fantomas, but this performance is impressive!!👍

I think they both compliment each other and make each other one sound better, if that makes sense.
