If you're wondering why my number of ranks didn't match up with the amount of runs I did by the end, it's because nightmare mode doesn't give you a rank. It just says you beat it or not, but thankfully it still counts for the achievements.
That's Not My Neighbor description:
The Doppelganger Detection Department (D.D.D.) needs you!
There is a vacancy for the doorman position in your building and since you need the money and can't find a job you have no choice.
It's 1955 and for unknow reasons doppelganers are more common than normal, so the D.D.D. has taken action on the matter.
Your job will be to allow or deny the entry of the subjects who request entry to the building, it seems easy, but be careful, you can't overlook any detail because you could be food for doppelgangers.
My channel generally focuses on a more casual side of speedruns. With these videos I want to show off cool speedruns, explain how they work, and entertain. Hopefully you enjoy the content and maybe even take up speedrunning yourself, because it is truly a lot of fun!

The Mask Ghost appears three times because that’s what’s supposed to happen. She says “Three times” three times, and you have to let her in three times before she goes away

At least That's Not My Neighbour is costant and doesn't change the rules every some days in the game ( for the moment)

So while running my own, the way I did it was that I got my successes mostly in arcade mode, because I could recognize them and identify them within moments. Get 40 wins in arcade. You usually get the doppelganger 100 achievement through this. Go to nightmare. Just keep trying until you get wake up, and then let yourself die endlessly in nightmare mode UNLESS a VIP shows up on the list. Then you can get 100 playthroughs. This sped it up a lot for me.

@@AUG_Glowyes but not all runners submit their results no need to be rude or mean. information even if not by a record holder is very helpful. how do you think speedrunners have improved in the first place? yes countless practice sessions and grinds but remember the content creator is a casual runner.

Since you seem to be pretty into longer speedruns atm, it would be cool to see you give a katamari speedrun a try! I love those games and I think there’s definitely opportunity to find interesting time saves
Fun fact: wojtek was a bear in world wars and lives in a zoo and the soldiers frequently visit him(3:20)
He helped the soliders with the war he got exenged for a pocket knife and cracers from an iranian boy

When I first played nightmare mode, the very first resident that came up was the mask ghost, and I was so confused for a solid 10 minutes. I didn't realize how apparently lucky I was for that to be my very first encounter

From what I've heard, that 42 guy at 2:49 is supposed to be a thumb meant to reference "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" (since it's a thumb and that's what you use to catch a ride). As for those 42's, they reference the most quoted part of the book: "What is the meaning of life? 42". This is because 42 is the sum of two dice, or two die, which sounds like "to die" (aka the answer to the question). Which is why everything on his paper is 42's, even that long string of 1's at the bottom

I really find it funny that the "Worse Than Henry" achievement implies Henry murdered everyone who came into the booth. So by letting the doppelgangers through, you are literally worse than Henry because killing even one doppelganger makes it impossible to get an F rank
