    So if the property we are working on is built after 2008, do we not allow for advantitious ventilation?

    • @tomkatgastraining
      @tomkatgastraining  3 года назад

      A house built after 2008 would not have an open flued or flueless that needs ventilation or should not have 😜

    Hi Derek great Video I heard through the grapevine that in 2022 they are changing the scientifical adventitious air calculations from 7 to 2 KW and the scientifical calculations from 5 to 4 in accordance to the extension of the New Build Regulations since 2015 SEDBUK appliances are expected to go from A rated towards Eco Green A+

    • @tomkatgastraining
      @tomkatgastraining  3 года назад

      Since 2008 we have not been able to install gas appliances in new builds or houses that are brought up to the current insulation standards if they required ventilation as there wouldn’t be any adventurous air plus it wouldn’t pass an air test if you had a chimney or air vent. So the calculations shouldn’t change for old appliances but we now don’t install flueless or open flued appliances in houses built after 2008 if the required a flue or ventilation.
