Hi Derek I am really loving your videos they are so helpful thank you. I was wondering if you could do a video on how to size expansion vessels and unvented Hot water cylinders?.
Hi Derek, Thanks for all your videos, don't stop create them, just passed my ACS and their help a lots and all your explanation:)!!!!!!!! Also can you do some videos about Flueless water heaters, how work, commissioning etc, chimneys all types and which appliances are fit them and about all types fireplaces DFE, ILFE etc this help with your knowledge and teaching skills. Thank you once again !!!!
been following your channel a couple of weeks now. I noticed my incoming pre meter shutoff valve is upside down. the on position is down not up. the engineer who fitted my meter was obviously a muppet. who do I call to get it fixed? I don't want to call the board as they will just lock the supply off for a couple of weeks til an actual engineer can attend.it's blooming this cold. but it is an unsafe situation. (I live in the u.k.)
Hi Derek, me again. SUPER helpful thank you. Been here for the last hour and a half with this 12-minute video!! Lots of colourful notes made, and pennies dropping. Just wondering, on the last one - room sealed cooling only - how come the top and bottom vent were the same calculation??
When it’s room sealed you only need cooling so the vents are the same but open flue you need combustion air so the bottom vent is twice the size of the top one. So top is for cooling bottom for combustion air and cooling.
Brilliant. Perfect for revision. I’m having the gas manual book open at the same time as watching these revision videos. Much appreciated Derek. Thanks 👍🏻 Asian Jon. Training.

If it is Nat gas then you ring the ESP on 0800 111 999 but it is not dangerous as long as you can turn the gas of in an emergency.
@@tomkatgastraining thanks for the info. And keep.up the good work. Your videos are very informative.

Here's one for you, at what point does a room become a compartment.
When there is no windows
@@tomkatgastraining really, a gas Safe inspector once gave me a volume....can't remember what it is though
@@dickiedubs3137 yeh it was less than 10m3 with no windows now it’s just a room with no windows because no windows is classed as inhabitable
