That compound you squeezed on. That is “heat sync paste”?? And what did you use to clean off the old stuff?
Thank you for viewing and commenting. The Thermal Compound used is High Performance Arctic MX-4. I use 99.99% IPA and cotton swabs to remove the old thermal compound.

Can I suggest to leave in the cleaning? I watch videos of just the cleaning all the time, It is also helpful for people not so sure of what their doing and makes it more complete
*edit I forgot to add how great this video was and how much I appreciate it

Trying the middle screw on the side rail and it’s a pain to get out
Be sure that the screwdriver you're using has a snug fit to avoid stripping the screw! 🪛 It takes a 00 Phillips Head Driver. Think eyeglass screwdriver. Hope that helps.

The ribbon cable of my left joycon, detached yesterday from the little small chip like on the slider, i tried to put the cable again above this chip to make a contact but won't work for some reason
Thank you very much for viewing and commenting. We appreciate the Support! Unfortunately, this piece you're talking about needs to be completely replaced.

it's not super stripped just stripped enough to where I can't get it out

That os often caused by not using the right size driver. Is it a 00 Driver? The a few different tricks you can use, or you can also use our Mail In Repair Service 📬

Just in Case
My latch broke off - how do I get it to go back on? And where can i get another one? It doesn't seem to pick up the joycon without it.

You have to replace the damaged connector with a new connector.
How do you take off the battery

This is the solution when the joycons start disconnecting randomly with the console on portable mode even when they're attached right?
Usually, unless it's the joy con itself or very rarely a board issue (usually liquid Damage involved).
Thank you for viewing and commenting. You should smash that like button and consider subscribing!
My left joycon keeps displaying the removed animation, then after re-seating, It’ll happen again… guess replacing the rail is what needs to happen… I’ll try this thx

My right joycon was working fine before I initialized my switch. Now it won't connect on the startup screen (where you have to connect both joycons to proceed). Both joycons are official Nintendo and I have replaced the rail, any ideas?
Thank you for viewing and commenting. Could the joycon flex cable connector be damaged or not pushed all way in or maybe not clasped shut?
