If you break the bond, you're supposed to replace the compound. Might as well anyways. The factory compound is 💩!
We use and recommend using MX-4 Thermal Compound

It's definitely had better days, but has new life, now that the functionality has been restored. Plus, she made a great model to help others fix their Switch.
Yeah but how do you remove the battery connection thing?
Carefully pull up on the wires, or use your fingernail to carefully pry the connector. Unless you mean replace the battery connector: ruclips.net/video/TjOuf9REtZ0/видео.html
