I just bought the K1. After 2 demo prints, I re-sliced a file of mine and it came out almost perfect amd in 1/3rd the time! Whatever improvement they made worked. I was coming from Ender 3 Pro, which I had to babysit nearly all the time to get useable prints. So far, I'm glad I upgraded to the K1. Creality listened to its critics, made some improvements on the hardware, feature set, esthetics, build quality and software. Oh, did I mentioned SPEED! I have the Ender 3 Pro with the BL Touch and cannot get reliable Z Axis Offset results. Thanks to your review, I believe I'll be heading out and getting an upgrade ;)
Its $350 at Micro Center atleast in NY for Black friday and seemingly cyber monday sales. Picked it up as at that price i just can not resist the urge to finally jump into this hobby. Extremley exited and it looks soooooooo good in my room. Only complaint is it can get loud as it prints but i figure all of them are like that idk. Never even seen a 3d printer in my life so i have no reference lmao
my printer (not a k1) is pretty loud, if the house is dead quiet I can hear it all the way down the hall at the opposite end of the house, with the doors open ofc, doors closed its not a problem, I personally sleep with it printing but I can sleep through anything (slept thru a gunshot once, muzzleloader only a few feet away if I'm not mistaken 😂) so take that with a grain of salt lol
Software issues kept me from considering this printer. Now that they have opened it up as true open source, and have provided root access, I am seriously considering it. I'd like to see a schematic for the electronics, complete with processor type, and pinouts. If there is enough info to install generic linux and klipper on it, that would be great. However, just being able to fully configure klipper (which it appears is possible under the root access), is probably close enough for me. Was seriously considering building a Voron Trident, but the K1 with root access and all of the new fixes would be much less expensive and close enough.
I just bought it for 389$ and rooted it straight away, just love the printer! The moment you fix the input shaper calibration so that it stores values separate the thing is just a beast ! Have it for 1,5 week and its printing 22/7 ever since. I'm just keep trowin prints at it and different materials and it just keeps going.
@@OneHappyCrazyPerson I bought one at MicroCenter during their black friday sale, but it was old stock with the known bad extruder and hot end. So I returned it and they pulled another one from stock, but it was also old stock. I ended up getting a refund. I might try again in a few months when all of the old stock units may be out of the supply chain. Creality should have recalled all of the units shipped with the older parts, or extended the 'fre' replacements for all first buyers forever.

I'm excited for all the projects I have in the wings. I currently have a modded Ender-3 v2 as a tinkering machine and the K1 will be my workhorse.
Holy cow it took ages to re-find this video to reply! I got it off Creality store website, I took advantage of Creality's 6% student discount as well as an addition 2% off for paying using paypal. The printer was already marked down to $399 for black friday. I also got a spool of Hyper PLA on sale with it. The AI Camera cam from Amazon as the Creality store was sold out. I believe the sale continues until 11/27 and while supplies last, otherwise i would have gotten the K1 bundle (which was sold out when i made my purchase) which included: the Camera, 2 spools of hyper PLA, & a nozzle set.
@@actionthatsuckscheck if you can buy from a local or online Micro Center. I got mine for black friday $350 (380 after taxes). Cyber monday is still a very good chance the sale is still on. Edit: yeah as of 5AM 11/26/23 its $350 on microcenters website here in NY
I live in Perth Western Australia, I bought a K1 just a few days ago from JayCar Electronics, I have been looking at 3D printers for a few years now, I went to buy a $3 button battery, saw the new range of 3D printers, I asked a lot of questions, the K1 had everything I was looking for in a 3D printer, the price was $819 because of the Black Friday sales still on I got it for $650 which I thought was ok, plus I ended up with a $40 rewards credit.
Definitely a novice (6 months, Ender 3 S1 pro) but I’m interested in upgrading to the K1 for speed. Can I still use the Creality slicer with Thingaverse models and a thumb drive like I’m familiar with?
One thing that stands out about the Creality K1 is its reliability. Ive completed numerous long prints without any hiccups. The printers stability and consistent performance give me the confidence to tackle large and complex projects
I think they should make it so you can print more than one color and fix the slicer to where you can edit the settings, use them and not have it crash just because you want to print and make use of the transparent filament we are able to use
I wish instead of releasing new models of printers, Creality would stick to incremental improvements and quality of parts. I had my extruder break in Ender 3 V2. I've seen a video about K1 that one person had his extruder gears fail. So perhaps parts like that could be made from best quality materials...
I suspect these bad reviews come from Bambu Lab. Because recently many people said that Bambulab copied Prusa. But it was obvious that Bambulab was not as good as Prusa, so he targeted Creality LOL
They didn't intentionally copy Prusa, there are only so many good architectures for a good printer. If you dive into it it's pretty obvious. Creality had many years to do what Bambu did, but chose not to even when the community continually bombarded them with requests and ideas. Creality is not an innovative company. They have released different versions of basically the very same printer for years whereas Bambu started with a clean sheet. Plus, both the Prusa and the Bambu print cleaner and more consistent than any creality. Is the higher cost enough to offset that small increase in quality? Only you can decide that. If money is riding on it though, people will buy a Prusa or a Bambu, not a creality. I suspect that Bambu is eating into creality's market share.
Ugh...Microcenter just put this printer on sale for $350. I'm REALLY wanting a Bambu Lab X1C, but kinda waiting on a price break. Strongly considering this to replace my old Ender 3 Pro. What to do...what to do?
hi, first of all, thanks for your video. I am very knowledgeable as a K1 user. but my device is a problematic device. I couldn't find a filament that kept up with your speed, and my projects are always unfinished. and it turns out to be broken. I made and installed the project that entered the 45-degree header that we made at the entrance of the filament pipe. when the left goes to the very back, it bends and crushes the filament pipe, can an improvement be made related to this? otherwise, I will have to remove the part I made .
I dont mind ads for a cheaper high quality printer. Seems to be crealitys work around when Prusa and Bambu have 1k$ printers. (I know the k1 max with lidar is 1k)
Great review! I'm new into this, puzzles about how this printer decides on the resolution? PLA 0.1 or PLA 0.2, all the filament seems to be 1.75mm, so how is the resolution arrived at? Really appreciate any advice on that.
Rob, you pick the layer height when you slice the model. It's a tradeoff between speed and finish quality, you'll get a feel for what layer height you want as you use it. Width of the filament has no impact on the layer heights you can do, remember that the filament is melted before your printer lays it down.
@@dsteele713 Got it, thanks. Creality Print only gives two options, high res and standard, 0.1 or 0.2, easy. Apart from orientating the model, auto-adding supports, and selecting the material, petg for example, seems that it then just prints. For petg and pla it seems quite automated. I guess I'll need to check the set-up, run the autolevel, calibrate or whatever, but I'm hoping that'll be about all.... can it be that easy!
The Creality K1s filament compatibility is a standout feature. It works seamlessly with a variety of filaments, allowing me to experiment with different materials and create prints with unique characteristics. Its a versatile machine.

The quiet operation of the Creality K1 is a pleasant surprise. I can confidently run the printer in the background while I work or relax, without any disruptive noise. Its a huge plus for maintaining a peaceful environment
2:38 I just received my Boost Kit today after waiting 5 months for my region to get the shipments sent to. Now... If only I had my K1 to install it into, as it is currently at the local reseller, getting repaired because the Print Head PCB blew a circuit. :(
Customer support from Creality has been exceptional. Any questions or concerns Ive had were promptly addressed, which speaks volumes about the companys commitment to its users. Its great to know that theyre there to support me throughout my 3D printin
I had an ender v1 and fiddled with that thing so much. I don't think Creality can make a printer that does not need a mod out of the box. On the flip side, they have a great user community though because it's just kind of a thing to mod your Creality which is one reason people like creality. I'm really on the fence with this one. I want it but my brain says no, you will end up tweaking it more than printing with it. Aarrrrggg. They never seemed to have good build quality. Am I nuts?
Setting up and calibrating the Creality K1 was a breeze. The user-friendly interface and step-by-step instructions made the process smooth, even for a beginner like me. I was printing my first masterpiece in no time!
@@brand0nn If i lived near a MC and had a coupon Id probably get a P1S based on the number of positive reviews. That said I guess creality has fixed the K1 too so. I get mine in a couple of days and cant wait to try it out.
I would've said the same at first...i felt let down with the bad extruder and unreliable hotend but since creality corrected them i have yet to get a failed print...its actually running as we speak and alot of times it runs overnight so I definitely recommend it now since the prints come out pretty good
From Eric: Thanks for watching! Sorry if that's a problem. I have severe tinnitus as well and didn't notice anything off. I just thought I'd try something different with this review and see how it goes.
Eric here: I have blockers and VPN on phone and PC, but I still see most of it. It's all "baked in" to their software, so I'm not seeing how to get around it. Hopefully Octoprint will help in the near future. I'm looking into it. Fingers crossed!
The advertising can be a deal Breaker though if you’re always on it that’s for sure. Especially the 5 second ad. Overall great video, I will not be getting this one. The Bambu Lab X-1 is seeming like the correct route to take..
The Creality K1s slicing software is user-friendly and offers a range of customization options. It empowers me to fine-tune my prints and achieve the exact results Im looking for. Its a crucial part of what makes this 3D printer so exceptional.
Actually Ive heard some good things about the Creality K1 Max 3D printer. Its supposed to be a pretty solid option for those looking to get into 3D printing. Ive seen some impressive prints from it on social media.
I have the K1 and a bambu p1p, and I would not recommend the K1, limited spare parts and still have issues imo. If you want a fast printer with excellent printed parts get the Bambulab printer. you not regret it.
Eric here: I have the Bambu P1S, as I said, and my PERSONAL experience with the K1 has been really good. At least, other than what was mentioned in the video. As always, there's a limit to what we can do for repairs on most machines. Unfortunately, the way technology works, the more complex, the less we can do on our own. For example, I've built my own computer until my last one, and I couldn't build it for the same money for the exact same parts and my own case. Hopefully prices will go down enough that it won't be an issue, kind of like with DVD players, etc. Thanks for watching!
I love how the K1 not only fuels my creativity but also cares for the planet with its energy-efficient speed. Its like fast-forwarding without the guilt.
From Eric: YIKES!!!! Oh my gosh, I can't believe I messed that up! Yes, 300 degrees, othewise... what's the point? Wow, great catch, but really stupid mistake on my part. I just destroyed my favorite 3D print in protest. Well... I thought about it, at least. Sorry!😂
Ive been amazed by the Creality K1 3D printer! The print quality is outstanding, and the level of detail it can achieve is truly impressive. Its taken my creative projects to a whole new level.
The fact is that everyone buy all these shitty printers as a cloud service BS killing of the rest of the 3D printing market. So when you intellectual property get stolen by some Chinese company or your printer stops working because the cloud provider don't want to support your printer anymore, or your printers starts printing random prints in the middle of the night, just look in the mirror to see who to blame. Please stop buying cloud connected hardware, that goes for printers, cars, doorbells, computers, etc.
How can you call k1 reliable? Ripple, over-extrusion, not under-extrusion, scientists, the new feeder is dying quickly! The table cannot be leveled properly! It prints only with the supplied poastic and only with ships! All that sucks is dancing with a tambourine!
From Eric: I print with all sorts of good and bad filament. The bad filament has a fairly bad result. The good (expensive) filament has a really good result. As I've said, this is MY experience. Nils is still having issues with a "first run" machine. Hence his review. My results have been nearly perfect, hence my review. Thanks for watching!
"Dependable"...Really? I know this channel and I don't believe you believe this at all! This is the problem with reviewers who are shit scared to offend their puppet masters...( you were never going to give this machine 2 bad reviews) " Dependable" is the last thing this machine is...Creality start testing your printers or move into maybe inkjet 2d printing if you can't run a proper business...
From Eric: Hey! Thanks for watching. First, please watch your language. Second, if you are familiar with our channel, then you know about Nils experience with the K1 earlier. My experience has been quite good. Note: MY experience. Nils is still having issues, but I have had a good experience. And honestly, Creality isn't really happy with all the things I said in this review either. So... Unless you can read my mind somehow, please don't make declarative statements about me personally. Thanks again and Happy 3D Printing!

Though K1 has some little problems during use, like the extruder and nozzle and some software errors, but they can be solved easily.
I was thinking about splurging on a K1 Max but after seeing that forced advertising thing..... not a freaking chance.

It kind of sounds like a diabetes infomercial with the background music but otherwise a good video. I bought one today
I’m new to 3p printing and looking to pick up one today but I also want a p1s but have I have a coupon from micro center
@@brand0nn If i lived near a MC and had a coupon Id probably get a P1S based on the number of positive reviews. That said I guess creality has fixed the K1 too so. I get mine in a couple of days and cant wait to try it out.
I would've said the same at first...i felt let down with the bad extruder and unreliable hotend but since creality corrected them i have yet to get a failed print...its actually running as we speak and alot of times it runs overnight so I definitely recommend it now since the prints come out pretty good
New account Oct 23 2023.. sus
There is a new update creality printer software, please check it a tell us the improvements
The Creality K1s build quality is top-notch. It feels sturdy and well-built, ensuring that it will last for a long time.
2:12 He means 300 deg C. Otherwise, getting up to 200 degrees only is a downgrade compared to all other printers haha
The Creality K1 Max seems like a great value for the price.
Why is there always this ringing-bell-music in the background. It like a tinnitus. No music was no option?
From Eric: Thanks for watching! Sorry if that's a problem. I have severe tinnitus as well and didn't notice anything off. I just thought I'd try something different with this review and see how it goes.
creality cloud is not too bad with a adblocker 😄
Eric here: I have blockers and VPN on phone and PC, but I still see most of it. It's all "baked in" to their software, so I'm not seeing how to get around it. Hopefully Octoprint will help in the near future. I'm looking into it. Fingers crossed!

The advertising can be a deal
Breaker though if you’re always on it that’s for sure. Especially the 5 second ad. Overall great video, I will not be getting this one. The Bambu Lab X-1 is seeming like the correct route to take..
Why did you buy a 3d printer?
To print things to fix the 3d printer...
Must be tough to print pla with these machines if their max temp is only 200C lmao
its 300c
Just bought it today for $390
The Creality K1s slicing software is user-friendly and offers a range of customization options. It empowers me to fine-tune my prints and achieve the exact results Im looking for. Its a crucial part of what makes this 3D printer so exceptional.

Wow great to know that you’re empowered lmao. Who talks like this?
Anyone here have real experience with the Creality K1 Max?
I LOVE PRUSA~
the adverstising spam is a SHAME this could kill a company entierly
Im in awe of the K1s auto-leveling-its like having a personal assistant for my printer. Set it up, and it takes care of the rest. How cool is that?
Audio seems a little muffled.
bro all these comments are copied and pasted from bot accounts 💀
From Eric: Yeah, that looks pretty bad. We're looking into it. Thanks for watching!
It’s 429 at microcenter
PSA I think all these comments are fake so don’t rely on these comments they seem very fake…
Actually Ive heard some good things about the Creality K1 Max 3D printer. Its supposed to be a pretty solid option for those looking to get into 3D printing. Ive seen some impressive prints from it on social media.
got it for $350 at microcenter
Thanks for watching!
now it’s 399
I love how the K1 not only fuels my creativity but also cares for the planet with its energy-efficient speed. Its like fast-forwarding without the guilt.

What the fuck kinda shill comment is this
The forced marketing is a deal killer for me. BYE Creality. Hello Bambu.
2:10 It can't go over 200 C?
On Amazon it say 300c for the k1 2nd gen
Script typo, probably@@Ferrum_Armory_llc
From Eric: YIKES!!!! Oh my gosh, I can't believe I messed that up! Yes, 300 degrees, othewise... what's the point? Wow, great catch, but really stupid mistake on my part. I just destroyed my favorite 3D print in protest. Well... I thought about it, at least. Sorry!😂
Comment bots?
Definitely.
This is STILL an CRAPality! No thanks.
No offence to the creator but I really felt like he was trying to be overly sincere and that’s sus

G-sensor in the printhead eliminates ringing and ghosting in high-speed prints on the K1. Flawless results every time!

One thing that stands out about the Creality K1 is its reliability. Ive completed numerous long prints without any hiccups. The printers stability and consistent performance give me the confidence to tackle large and complex projects
