Using a full-fledged Klipper configuration would allow you to fix that. Just thought I would share! Thanks for the video!

Hi Steve 😉, i've had some good talks with users and the consensus seems to be that it helps but the vfa is still problematic. If down the line Bambu decide to copy DJI then there might be no further updates or support for their old models and if they decide to start charging for their cloud services then you're going to either pay or be Sorry, Out of Luck. Not good.

That's the biggest compliment you could give, that's the reason i started doing reviews. Got sick of the "not sponsord" reviews that get flooded in the first weeks, it's that or they lost touch with the consumer. About Bambu, i'm afraid that when the market get's flooded with dirt cheap alternatives the sales are going to drop so much that they will have to look for other money like the "cloud". Starting small by hiding new features behind a paywall and then a 2.99 or so subscription for cloud service and so on. I bought the K1 Max to test ... absolute GARBAGE!!!!!! I have 9 other printers I have recently added to my fleet and they smash the Creality K1 MAX out of the park for print quality, some are less in price, some are custom, some are bed slingers even .... Honestly for me this is a nice looking printer, very pretty, in fact one of the best looking designs I've seen yet but its all show an definitely NO GO! mine is going back, the VFA's are OUT OF THIS WORLD, to the point of every print goes in the bin! .... sorry but I've been in the 3D printing world since 2014 with a plethora of experience so I can honestly say be careful if you buy one of these.....its a gamble ... some seem ok and maybe passable ... the rest are just SH*T
one thing that was giving me really bad VFA was choosing the standard pla in creality print. The second i chose the hyper one even though its not hyper filament all the artifacts pretty much disappeared, though i was comparing it to the sample prints they provide on the usb, which were coming out good but everything i sliced looked like ass. So if the test prints aren't up to your standards then i"m not sure what can be done. I just saw that the test prints were coming out good and so i read through the gcode and copied the settings and rooted to solve the dumb input shaping issue
Speed bump? Useless, looks awful. My lid is lifted 20mm just because i added hinges to it, ptfe is outside of drag chain and everything is working well without scratching the top 🤷🏻♂️

Hi there, not using cura on the K1 sorry
"Fully paid for, just like you guys" You guys are getting paid? ;)
I wish! 🙈
Is vfa artifacting fixed by root and input shaping x and y separate
I hear mixed results but it's going to be a bit better
[* Z: "Zed" from the Greek letter Zet'a (unless you were raised watching Sesame Street, like most Americans! 😉).]
Great review; I've been looking for reviews where the reviewer was willing to be critical and yours is one of the best. I have been tempted by the Bambu offering and might have been willing to swallow the price but the closed software ecosystem and the fact that a significant part of the value comes from the cloud & phone app has put me off.
If down the line Bambu decide to copy DJI then there might be no further updates or support for their old models and if they decide to start charging for their cloud services then you're going to either pay or be Sorry, Out of Luck. Not good.
I don't get the "ZED" reference i'm sorry but we did have sesame street in Europe not that i remember watching it.
And thanks!
The writting is on the wall so it's a hell no for me and if i have to eat my words in 3 years that i'm full of sh*t then i'm happy to do so
My gripe, and I have the updated extruder, is that the extruder just stops feeding still.
Sounds like another issue, there was a version of creality print that gave this problem. Did you update to the last 1?
@@NoizieWorksCreality Print and Orca Slicer both. It just stops. When I open up the extruder I find the filament has "mushroomed" after the gears but before the PTFE leading to the hot end. I took a drill bit and tried to make that PTFE end funnel shaped, but it has not been enough.
@@shirgall what material and temps?
@@NoizieWorks Creality Hyper PLA, 220C and 210C (220C was stringing).
@@shirgall i would try to change the ptfe tube and replace the nozzle as it sounds the extruder is not the problem.
Did you put it the plastic insulator between the extruder and the motor?
I see them now around 559 Euro on most sites and Creality.. Its hard to justify the price
Yup all sales ended
Just received a K1 and I'm having the nozzle extruding issues and errors. Can you share where I can buy that upgraded nozzle? Appriceate it!
Ask creality, they should send you the new extruder and hotend for free. Just provide them some pictures. The bundle was with the camera and all that
@@NoizieWorks thank you for responding so quickly! Question I'm new so I'm not sure what I'm looking for to take pictures of. I'm having a nozzle error and it's not extruding. I've tried updating firmware and then downgraded the firmware because that caused other problems. Any help you can provide would be great! Thanks again.
@@donnasimoneau5255 take a picture of the error that should be enough 😉
Oh man that's super helpful! Thanks so much!@@NoizieWorks
@@donnasimoneau5255 no problem bud, any time!
After years of owning Creality machines I’ve concluded that they are ALL garbage. Never again.
I think the K1 is different. After they got initial issues sorted out, it seems to be one of the best out there… I understand your sentiment though, my Ender 3 V3 SE has been annoying the living poopoo out of me.
what do you suggest?
Qidi Q1 pro is cheaper and better in all aspects
Thanks a lot! @@NoizieWorks
That's just silly. Maybe you just suck at 3D printing.
Yeah, unless you get it dirt cheap or have a good ish sample
one thing that was giving me really bad VFA was choosing the standard pla in creality print.
I regret buying one, nothing but problems with it and customer service is non existent.
Speed bump? Useless, looks awful. My lid is lifted 20mm just because i added hinges to it, ptfe is outside of drag chain and everything is working well without scratching the top 🤷🏻♂️
Thanks for your opinion
That is how creality works.. put out unfinished printers, wait for community to fix it, send out the stolen IP on new versions.. nothing for the early adopters. Why I will never buy from again.
And also don't forget KEEP THE BROKEN ONES ON THE STORE.
@@cwill6491is there a way to tell? Like does the newer versions have a different model number like on the box?
lol, as opposed to Bambu Labs who only lets you print via their cloud so that they can steal your IP that way 😂 They are Chinese companies. China doesn’t have IP theft laws. As far as they are concerned, once something is in the public domain, it’s fair game! If you are going to buy products from Chinese companies, you are going to have to live with it.
Aye better than elegoo
Lesson here…don’t be an early adopter.
100%
The K1 is fucking garbage. Plain and simple. Had to fix it and replace the hot end 4 times in 3 months. Now I can’t fix it anymore because I can’t figure out the problem. Fuck Creality.
I can't say i disagree on this statement 😅 wait for the K2 it will be beter. They pinky swear.
It's shit LIDAR is fake I sent mine back in the first 4 hours of owning it ITS SHIT!
Well you clearly think it's the best thing ever 😉 to bad it didn't work out for you!
