Wow, it was my bad for watching this video AFTER buying the camera 😅 oh well, lesson learned. I just want to shoot some dang film in a world where film cams are way too expensive these days!
Yes tge lead weight gives the impression that it's umm weighty, pantium.. possibly a pentax rip off for the customers who know little about camera's, often offered as fairground prizes, hidden away far back in a box so it looks like a good prize, plus also given away free on expensive mail order items to entice buyers into paying way over the odds for a product thinking thier getting a bargain Free slr, when in reality they're getting a cheaply made knock off camera that hardly works. The way around the trade description acts in different countries is either to not call it an SLR, but call it an SLR and claim this to be a model number. Great review of one of many rip off cheap camera's made over the year's. The flash works OK but a flash is a relatively cheap thing to make . Sadly let down by the most important thing, the lens lol
You are right. It is. Part of the challenge I gave to myself is to get at least one frame from every camera that comes my way. Some cameras will be beautiful engineering works of art and some will be absolute cr@p. I'm going to try to make them make pictures no matter what. If I inspired you to try with a piece of junk, persuaded you against a POS, or just distracted you for a few minutes, I've contributed to the conversation. Find something you don't think is terrible and make some images. That's what is important. Thank you for watching. Many more un-terrible cameras are in the queue.

Canon made a similar one.. cream coloured, same trash, looks like SLR, actually a vf camera, whoa!
