They are just as greedy as my car insurance company, which tried to double my rate this year despite having no accidents or tickets, citing increased costs from other drivers. Instead of addressing the issue of bad drivers who drive up rates, they prefer to lose customers who don't cost them money. No wonder their costs are increasing.
But how do you address bad drivers? Have you ever tried to tell the general American public to make better decisions? It doesn't go well, Americans love the right to be stupid, just watch the video ppl but those cars. I get what you're saying but that's not the culture we have cultivated as a people.
After the experience my daughter is going through with Carmax, I'm never going near them again here. She bought a car from them in August 2024. She's had problems since then. Now the transmission is gone. They refuse to do anything about it. In the past I've bought at least 3 cars from there. Now I'm through. Her experience has been a nightmare. Stuck with a car that's broke down, still making payments, still needs a car to get back and forth to work and no funds to buy another vehicle. I would tell anyone thinking of going there NO, DON'T GO THERE!
Similar problem here with a family member. Buying experience was good, but warranty support afterwards was practically nonexistent. We're never shopping at CarMax again, since they won't stand by their products.
As long as they will approve those with less than great credit, they are not done. When I tried to buy from them in 23 they where packed, and it was by appointment only. I was able to buy a new car instead of the 21 they tried to sell me for just a little more a month because of the low finance rate offered on a new car. The 21 they tried to sell me also felt like there was something wrong with it. It had less than 10k miles but already had two owners. It makes you wonder where they are getting their cars from.
America used to be known in Europe for having cheap cars, rent, gas and food prices. The word back in the 90s was you could make good money there even as a waiter/bartender.
that LX 570 is at CarMax Tulsa so you were visiting CarMax Tulsa. I just bought a 2019 CPO LX 570 of similar mileage from a California Lexus dealer and price is much much better. 2019 has some options 2018 doesn’t have. Carmax cars are expensive
Is CarMax in debt? Total debt on the balance sheet as of August 2024 : $19.20 Billion USD. According to CarMax 's latest financial reports the company's total debt is $19.20 Billion USD. A company's total debt is the sum of all current and non-current debts.😂😂😂
speaking for myself, i grew up poor. that means no money from parents. no car for free. got tired of bicycling or taking buses to work and school. this was nearly 20 years ago. haven't forgot where i came from and don't judge others no matter how well off i am compared to then.
If you qualify for the Car Max 8.95% rate, you can get a better used rate from a credit union like 5.79% from Navy Federal... 4.8% for 48 months if you go that route.
I just bought Camry at Carmax this week. Yes their cars are expensive but Carmax doesnt play any games. The price i saw was the price i paid. Other dealers had a lower advertised price, but it ended up being about the same without the 7 day return policy
No one can get scammed at CarMax, there is a reason why they're the biggest car dealership. People trust them. The price you see is the price you pay. Don't like it, go somewhere else.... One Toyota dealership i went to was also a no haggle dealer, but when I got to the finance room there was a $1,500 alarm fee, BS!!!
I'm convinced these car prices are government mandated. Driving will soon be a privilege of the wealthy. Streets and highways are all overcrowded without a solution in sight - except for making it more expensive like having a mortgage.
Carmax is keeping prices and interest high because they know tons of people are upside-down and wont qualify anywhere else. They're the sharks now 🤣🤣🤣💀
CarMax caters to the customer with bad credit to a point. If you can't get better than 22% you really shouldn't be buying a Lexus, but you won't be able to tell some people that.
Carmax is just a rip off to the people. I know that there are many cars and trucks to stay away from. the Hyundai Tucson , is a car to stay away from. From the years , 2012 ( I think ) to 2020. They have so many recalls, on everything on it, especially the motors . Also, I guess that Thomas Sieber, goes to these lots when the are closed. Since there is no salesman or the owner chasing him off .
Drove the Taco with turbo. Very sporty BUT the engine sounded ready to shred especially at cold start in Carolina. Definitely needs to go back to a Heritage model and keep the v6.
22% interest rate on a car is theft
It’s what you qualify for based on your credit.
Big time!
cheaper to take a loan from the mafia
Challenged? More like mentally challenged
Those with 500 credit score will take it all day everyday
CARMAX sells Debt, nothing more.
So do colleges
That 2016 with 62k miles at 33k is crazy.
The monthly payments started OVER $500.
Absolutely wild!
These carmax dealers are smoking crack.
Selling crack
Free crack....with every purchase?
Nawl , just weed.
No one complained when they offered you a good amount for your used car
No one complained when they offered you a good amount for your used car.
Everybody qualifies for 22% interest 😂
Consumer needs to not give into these ridiculous prices. We have the power to say: ah HELL NO
Hell no to FOMO.
30k for a 2016 my god 😭
It's bad when people spend 20,000+ on a ten year old ride with 100k miles and think they got a deal.

Bad drivers whos claims they probably denied anyway.
"I'm so proud of myself I just qualified for a 22% interest loan", said no one.
I wouldn't be sure that no one has said that. Some people think that 450 is a good credit score.
Prices are ridiculous. I did business with them about 7 years ago and had a good experience, but I wouldn't buy anything from them now
If you ever shop there, compare bluebook to their pricing. Sometimes, it can be three or four times the money.
I would like to offer 13k on that BMW. That way I can keep about 15k for the repair bills.
People who can't afford a BMW shouldn't buy one.
@@jacobstrouble6631 The answer is always buy a Toyota.
@@Withnail1969 The answer is never "always". Toyota reliability is in the shitter now. A $60k Tacoma? Good luck with that.
@@jacobstrouble6631 I was thinking a Corolla.
@@Withnail1969 If I were looking for an economy vehicle I'd definitely agree
Thanks, not going near one of those dealers.
Can you please explain “loan loss provision “ as it relates to Carmax”? Thanks.
No haggle = over paying. I submit any dealership will make you the same offer. Pay the highest price and we won't argue with you.
Buying a car at Carmax is like buying your groceries at 7-11

I would buy a used ❤❤❤❤Mercedes Benz again from Carmax, because a 2013 C300 4MATIC I bought about 6 years ago, and it still runs very well.
I remember in the past when they wouldn’t sell a high mileage vehicle
As long as they will approve those with less than great credit, they are not done. When I tried to buy from them in 23 they where packed, and it was by appointment only. I was actually thinking of buying a type r from them in the summer.

YOU MEAN THE UNITED STATES ONLY NOT AMERICA, AMERICA IS FROM ALASKA ALL THE WAY DOWN TO ARGENTINA
Beach, stop yelling...😂😂😂
Yea correct I studied in Australia in 2000s and it was stupid expensive and my college professors used to tell me how cheap America is compared to ANZ
Great times bro. That shit ain’t never coming back. Neverrrrr Everrrr.

$53,000 for a 4Runner is stupid insane.
It's not going to get better with the four cylinder turbo in the new model.
I paid $30,700 before tax for my new 2024 wrx! Good value imo. Even the civic SI is $31500

In Tennessee there interest goes up to 28%

You got scammed but just don’t know it yet.
There’s no way you actually believe what you just said, you probably paid 30% more than you should’ve 😂
CarMax only has 78% nitrogen in tires 😂😂😂

Ridiculous prices on a car from 2018
I like carmax.
Those interest rates are ridiculous.

Government is organized crime. They don't like competition
Almost 23% WTF big rip-off.
22.95%?? seriously????
Those monthly payments, WTF?😮 Is this for real?
I saw 7.95% on a Nissan Kicks...
5.9% is what I got with top tier Nissan. Financial, over all not good for the industry
Nice job exposing the APR Car max offers to the get me dones. Stay away from these dealers people. I just got a car for 5.5 apr.
Give them to the homeless and claim the losses as a tax break.
Maybe they are flooded vehicles about time for them to be showing up

Lowest is 5.95.
They did not manufacture the car.
😂 They giving out vaseline / baby oil at the door and tell you to pucker up cause they gonna give it to ya 😂

Carmax, Carvana, how many times have people tried to with their epitaphs over the past few years and just like Rasputin, they keep coming back.

Carmax: no low balls i know what i got.
