NewBright RC Boat gets Upgraded Electronics!

- In this video I pull my old NewBright Donzi RC boat off the shelf and upgrade all the electronics in it to make it more hobby grade! I have done this similar modification before I started this channel but disassembled it because it didn't work as well as planned. The current version 2 of this will work a lot better like I originally planned!

I love rebuilding toy grade boats, I JUST found a New Bright Sundance which needs the business. 19.2 volt bat packs don't exist anymore, so now I need to find a worthy car to Frankenstein. My last build was a Nikko Sun Runner. Nice work!

How rad is it when something random (like that valve stem seal) fits perfectly onto something else random and it just works. Example, The gas pedal on my mower is hooked up using an old Ford 4.9 throttle cable. Everything about the size and length was right . Or the core drill we got at work, it's a Hilti and like impossible to find parts for (the guys at the Hilti store are as dumb as they come) so now the seal on the output shaft is from a Toyota truck's pinion gear. lol I love fixing things using what other people see as junk.
And JB weld, there nothing that stuff can't fix. There's a blob of it on one of the radiators on my 250R that is covering a hole and been holding tight since 1998. (Yeah im 39 years old)
Probably a dumb question but what happens if that boat flips or dies like way out there on the lake? Especially with a Lipo battery, how they slow down for 10 seconds and then just doe. Take a swim? Bring a fishing pole?
Yeah lol that is how I am, just make what you have work! I haven't thought about that yet, I don't drive it super far out just mainly within 20ft or so. If the boat turns over(joins the Poseidon Adventure) then whatever I will be sure to film it sink lol then later on we may go back and retrieve it when the water lever drops for doc repair or when it seems good to retrieve it lmao!
Man that’s awesome. Not related but I have a question about that 40 series driver mod for your mower. Did it work for you when you had it on and did you have any problems or burned belts? I’m seriously considering doing it and I wanna know if you recommend it. Thanks!
It works great and slid right on, make sure your belt is aligned and you'll be fine. I personally didn't like it because it was kind of jumpy and kind of felt weird, however it doesn't mean that if I don't like it doesn't mean you will either. The system works well like I said with a slight pulley swap but just not my type of riding style lol.
Bigger prop and motor
I am trying to find like a used motorcycle, dirtbike, ATV, or go-kart on Facebook Marketplace for a couple hundred dollars to play around with and maybe flip them for a profit later on. The main thing is a jet ski but they are a couple of thousands instead of hundreds lol. So if I find something I make a future video on it.
I might turn mine into a scale speedboat I have a brushless esc combo I may use
