You guys mentioned the gold cost of new gear like it's a huge deal, and I get that it can feel like it to some. I've found the opposite: the regular gold consumption (consumes, basically) in BCC has been WAY less intensive than Classic Era. Each raid death in Naxx used to cost me close to 50g in consumes, but now it's only like 8g, even including repairs. Add that to a much higher passive gold gain (I get like 100g from Kara each week) and I don't even feel the cost of consumes. BCC "feels" more expensive right now because fresh 70s have a ton of gold sinks, between flying/epic flying and all their crafted gear. And even that can be largely mitigated by farming all the Primals for crafting yourself. So the 2,000ish gold you have to spend on enchants and gems feels like a ton right now. Upgrades are more frequent right now, and you probably just spent close to 10,000 gold on all your fresh-70 taxes, at least for your main. But that's all upfront; once we're done with Phase 1, the weekly consume cost is minimal, and you're probably only going to spend 1-2k on enchants/gems per PHASE. That's not that much. With that in mind, I've decided to treat Phase 1 as a preparatory phase. My focus is on farming mats for later Phases. And I'm Engi/BS, so my list is real long: I need close to 1000 various bars, and about 100 Primals. That's a lot of gold. But when I break it up into Phases, and think about how long I have to acquire it all, it's totally manageable. So if your worried about gold right now, just be patient. Take a step back, and look at how much you've recently spent, and compare it to how much you're going to spend in all of BCC. Chances are good you've spent close to half, if not more, of what you'll spend in all of BCC, and we likely still have 18 months to go.
i think they should Shorten the Weekly reset put Arena flushes on 3 days and same thing with Weekly raid, that way people will have a lot more incentitives to play TBC and Let phase 1 be longer. my perfect dream scenario is that all raiders has FULL BIS gear b4 new content comes out.
You can turn them in for glad gear next season but just putting resil gems into tier 4 is pretty good even right now. especially with some of the 2 set bonuses.

An interview with Kevin Jordan showed that when they made Arena, the PvP was balanced for 5 man games only. What you guys are calling "skill" he called cheesing the game with certain comps because they can't balance that. He literally explained how 2s and 3s could never be balanced, and so yea they are fun, but it's inherently broken. The dirty secret is that PvP players don't like balance, they like to dominate someone in a worse position than them; hence why certain classes and comps are out of control player-number wise.
Bringing up your weaker DPS by a larger margin is better then just joocing your highest dps. These descisions cant be made in a vacuum, joocing up one class could easily result in threat problems.
I'm a 299 resil holy pally on heart seeker ally, and we just don't pvp on our server, finding people who actually care about pvp is hard, cross-server arena teams wouldn't be a bad idea. Can't even find people to do premade bgs with, sucks.
i feel like content creators for classic are disappearing. when classic vanilla got announced i use to sit at work and watch youtube videos and guides all day long and it was such a cool feeling. that doesn’t exist anymore. in my youtube notifications i get alerts for wow content and its like 4 different content creators and the title of the videos is almost always the same shit. i just got 3 notifications from 3 different ppl and the title of their video is about the bg loot bags. just feels like originality and passion is gone from the content creators scene. i guess i understand though when their videos only get 4k views, not much incentive.
It's definitely a problem in that I've seen a lot of content creators go into quick 'report wow news' video niche for easy to make content that gets some views. The problem I see isn't so much that, but rather so many of them don't add anything to the news - they just do the lazy 'copy everyone elses take' for easy youtube views with low effort. I'm not sure what the solution is there though as they'll keep doing it forever because it takes low effort + time and gets easy ad income for them. I think like you said there's a problem in that there's lack of incentive to make better quality things when the WoW community is fairly small for youtube - the creators who do higher quality content mostly don't make enough to live on or are burning out from blizzards lack of support for their own game.
Talk more about faction imbalance, thats the main reason why ppl are getting frustrated about the game and are debating between different game options. You cannot solve things only from 1 perspective, it just makes more problems. Like you guys noted the problem about the gladiator thing. And make a poll, would you reroll from alliance to horde if it came available IF the same faction BGs are going to stay in the game. Theres a problem for u guys to talk about.
I think this "rogues aren't wanted" is blown out of proportion. In my 25 man raid we have 3 rogues and we clear things just fine. not top notch but not slow either.
That is just two easy raids that are mostly tank and spank, so ofc rogues do fine damage. They will continue to do higher damage than other melee, the actual difference is that the other classes that do slightly less damage are buffing the damage of many others in the raid whereas the rogue is not. The rogue is mostly an interrupt class
@@Fullmetal6 There's really no point bringing "buff" classes if you want to min max, buffs like blood frenzy wont bring enough +dps compared to just taking another warlock or hunter.

Class stacking is fine right now for sweaty guilds to cheese current fights, but longer, more complex mechanic fights will warrant a buff like 4% physical damage to all the hunters and tank. Moreover class stacking will be a problem during progress because it's very suboptimal in terms of loot distribution- they are forced to run splits. If every raid brought 15 arcane mages, which needs support like innervate and vampiric touch, the loot that best for casters will be strained while other loot wasted. I have no idea why people see this tier of content and project it to the future as if next phases are the same
Hunters not beeing number 1 priority? how about hunters having no raiditems needed at all besides dst? They sit with blue gear for 6 months. Giving it to hunters, while rogues and warrior getting tier gear, weapons, etc meanwhile hunter get absolutly nothing besides dst. I would keep your hunters happy if i was a council.
Huh? Hunters may use 4 set but they still use a lot of other gear this tier. Gruul/prince ring, garona ring, edgewalker/chess boots, skulkers, sunfury bow just to name a bunch off the top of my head.
@@skerpi4068 I wouldn't be basing anything on how much 25 man loot classes need in p1 - there's only 2-3 super quick bosses, it would be super scuffed to only take into account 25 man loot. You have to account for what's available in karazhan even when it's not loot councilled. Other classes also use tier btw in bis type setups, for example rogues use wastewalker 2 piece at least in a full bis setup. Overall I think hunters using 4 piece doesn't impact loot distribution at all if you consider all the other loot distributed. For example - if we're talking only 25 man raids, rogues take t4 chest and dst, hunters take gruul ring and dst - it's 2 items to 2 items (and doing it by this way would be a silly way to do it anyway).
Sno, I've messaged you a few times in discord about various things. As a trained research scientist (behavioral and cognitive neuroscience) I can confidently tell you that the chart of who gains most from DST is almost completely useless.
All I’m saying is you tubers/twitch streamers posting videos like this are turning people away from WoW more than the “state of the game” it’s practically mob mentality and every wow content creator feels the need to “cash in” on the hot topics. Just a thought

Season 1 is prolly the least necessary for resilience, getting the damage from raiding than bringing it to arenas , no stop dps you’ll go pretty far
