After talking to thousands of people in discord, Reddit, or various other forums… the consensus I’ve gathered is that the overwhelming majority of players want any raid to be in its “final” or “fixed/nerfed” version. Even the more competitive players I’ve had feedback from say that they would like a few resets of pre-nerf raids, and then after the first few resets have the post nerf versions quickly in the live game… so the few guilds that could clear SWP pre nerf get their chance to do the harder version, but the population will suffer if it stays in a “nearly impossible” state. Most raiders want to have a challenge while at the same time having a fun social event on their raid nights. Almost no one wants to be stressed out when clearing 15 year old content. I get that SWP is supposed to be the hardest raid in TBC, but if it’s going to be much harder than Naxx was in Classic for the average player, the population is going to plummet. Post nerf SWP should come at the latest 1 month after launch.
@@anticringepolice yes. And that’s a very conservative estimate. Because I’ve had that discussion with countless people since the day people were first stepping into Molten Core in Classic, and it’s also the same sentiment that most people have had ever since Cataclysm in retail.
(EU player) Personally i'm ok with a 1 week notice before new raid comes out, most preparations are already done and whats missing can be done in 1 week. We're not high-end tho, so i dunno how people who care about rankings and stuff feel about this ^^ We will probably change raid days when WOTLK comes out. Every time a new raid comes out we lose 2 raiding days because we got our raids going Wed+Mon and Thu+Sun, it's frustrating for a lot of our players. We are probably a mid-tier guild i'd say. Raid1 cleared BT+MH in 2-weeks and Raid2 in 3-weeks. Both raids cleared P5 pre-nerf aswell. But we're OK for Sunwell to take a few lockouts to clear.
as a rogue, i don't think that i would be able to "enjoy" the SW as much as i did in BT/HM, there is no seat for rogues, at least in the first month, i guess
@@anticringepolice if you paid attention to the PTR raid streams or checked any forums, you'll find out why people don't really need rogues in the first month raids
@@SargentShred in 2.5.4? stop fooling yourself, rogues are competivitive only when they've got full gears from SW, but still far more behind other classes
unlikely - I'll be doing some UI guides/weakauras and making sure my UI is working and setup well for wotlk, but rogue specific content probably not as I'll be moving to a different RUclips project
@@ClassicRoguecraft now this is a bombshell. You’re rogue guides and insight was super helpful in tbc. Thank you for that. Something tells me you’ll be doing deathknight ones instead haha
It's not so much about the date of the release but the 1 week timing. Most people don't mind it being released this week, but they want 2 weeks+ notice so their raids can properly prepare and have schedule sorted out.

You're not entitled to all content in a mmorpg
Don't mention reddit if you want your opinion to have any weight

Honest question, besides a few guilds, does anyone care about speed running raids?
Tactics isn't a raider type - he's speed runner but in levelling
Raids are so easy what else would you do besides run them fast?
I do, its fun in the right guild!
yep we ran wednsday with 3 regulars missing this week, no final speed push thanks blizz :(
Games dead. “Speed” clears - so cringe.

just crossed my mind, will the podcast still be named Prepared once wotlk comes out? :D
probably have to revisit and see how we feel in wotlk - still unsure of content plans for that

I don't see how this is tragic, BT is boring.

Killed illidan every week since week two, im forth prio glaives and we haven't seen one yet. Sunwell could damn well wait 8weeks for all I care.
