    I wish I had all the stuff a real mechanic has. I just replaced all the suspension on my 2012 mustang in my garage on Jack stands. After 9 straight hours without a break I was worn out. Mostly because I didn’t invest in an impact gun. Regardless, I think working on my car is a lot of fun. Just limited by not having more space underneath

    Can you offer a complete list of the parts list needed to convert the stock dual mass to this setup and where to get them? Having trouble finding flywheel and pressure plate bolts, among other things.

      Our 600670 lightweight flywheel will in fact work with the factory clutch kit. If you have any other questions please feel free to reach out to our support staff (661) 940-7555.

    How many bolts hold the transmission to the motor?

    • @AdvancedClutchTechnology
      @AdvancedClutchTechnology  3 месяца назад

      It has been quite some time since we have done this installation. If memory serves us correctly, for the MT82 transmission, there are 2 engine to transmission bolts, 4 transmission to engine bolts, 3 engine to transmission stud bolts and finally 2 starter bolts. Also, we believe there are 2 bolts securing the engine spacer plate to the transmission. So, a total of 13 bolts. I hope this helps.

    I am doing this right now, does the small grey plate ( shown at 4:35 ) stay on when you replace the flywheel or do you take it off?

    • @AdvancedClutchTechnology
      @AdvancedClutchTechnology  5 лет назад +3

      The part shown @ 4:35 is the conical release bearing / slave cylinder. This part should be removed and replaced with a new one. If you have any questions please call our tech dept at (661) 940-7555. Thanks!

    What's the difference between the Gt clutch and v6 for 2011=2015

    • @AdvancedClutchTechnology
      @AdvancedClutchTechnology  5 лет назад +1

      Hi Christopher,
      The difference between the kits is the dowel location for the OEM flywheels and the clamping force of the pressure plate. The 3.7 V6 Mustang uses a different flywheel than the GT. Since we do not offer a sport option for the V6 to compare the heavy duty clutches we offer the one for the V6 is rated for 565 ft. lbs. of torque to the crank and the GT is 605 ft. lbs. of torque to the crank.

    Can I use a six pad act clutch on the stock transmission set

    • @AdvancedClutchTechnology
      @AdvancedClutchTechnology  Год назад

      While the 6-pad clutch disc would probably work with the factory components (pressure plate and flywheel), we would not recommend its use. Because the factory flywheel is dual mass, the increased stresses when using such an aggressive disc will damage the internal springs in the flywheel leading to catastrophic failure and possibly transmission or even engine damage. If the flywheel is used with many miles on it already, it is most possibly already worn and the failure of it can occur even more rapidly.

      Edgar, No we did not make a video on how it performs. The pedal effort felt great and it provided a smooth engagement.

    What are is the bolt size for the flywheel? Can't find anywhere what they are nor any shorter bolts for the V6. All 5.0 stuff

    • @AdvancedClutchTechnology
      @AdvancedClutchTechnology  Год назад +1

      Because our 600670 Streetlite flywheel is a single mass conversion flywheel, the bolts are shorter than the factory bolts and should have been included in the packaging along with the flywheel. These bolts are M10 X 1.0 X 25mm and grade 10.9. These are custom bolts for use with our flywheel and you probably will not be able to find them at any random automotive parts store. If you need these, please call our sales/technical department at 1-661-940-7555.

      @@AdvancedClutchTechnology Would a 10.9 grade bolt be ok?

    • @AdvancedClutchTechnology
      @AdvancedClutchTechnology  Год назад +1

      @@iconic.cyclone Sorry, that was a typo. The bolts we provide are 10.9 not 10.5. So 10.9 would be okay.

      @@AdvancedClutchTechnology Thank you. I'll see to reaching out for the bolts then.
