    Thank you so much for doing this video! I just finished doing a complete clutch job on my nieces 2008 Mustang Bullitt. The hardest part was the pilot bearing like you ran in to. It was a brutal fight even with a bearing puller! My niece saved it as a badge of honor!

    seems like a good time to do a shifter and driveshaft since it all comes out anyway!

    I love your video on how to replace the clutch on the mustang , I also have a 2013 mustang gt, but I had to give you a thumbs down because of one rule that every great mechanic knows and even my father taught me , if you're going to do the job, do it right the first time so you don't have to go back in, you change the flywheel but you did not change the rear engine seal which is a no no, every good mechanic knows if you went that far to take the flywheel off what's a few more minutes to change the rear engine seal, Even though it was not leaking rule of thumb you're there so change it, That's like doing a timing belt and not changing the front engine seal or the cam seals, because after you put everything back who's to say a few months later the rear seal starts leaking because it was not changed. Now the whole job has to be done over again.

    Good info, Thanks for the help. I had to drop my K-member to get the motor low enough for the trans to slid back in the tunnel so the pilot shaft could clear the clutch, he also said in the beginning of the video that you don’t have to drop the exhaust, I did not drop the H-pipe but wish I had of. The H- pipe will be removed before I go back with it!

  • @jperconte

    Great Video.... What happened to the clutch that caused a replacement? Also, these Stangs have had reports of a transmission whine that occur in 1st - 4th gear, could this be a clutch issue, or transmission gear issue I wonder? Also, what was the cost of the clutch replacement? This is definitely not a DIY job, without a lift. Hire a pro!

      @user-hf5cf9ie1u
      On Coyote Mustangs, when you do a clutch or flywheel, you sometimes have to do a crank relearn if you get a misfire codes. Especially when you change to a lightweight flywheel and have to change the pilot bearing.

    • @ParhelionGame
      @ParhelionGame 4 года назад +2

      Yes and no. It is a MT-82, but the internals (while sharing the same design) have slightly different types of parts (metal vs plastic here and there, some other minor improvements). The tail housing assembly is also different than on the S550s. The shifter is also slightly different... Now with that said the MT-82s are interchangeable between the S197 and the S550s... All one has to do is switch over the tail housing to get it to work.
