Holy crap, literally same issue with my 07. Had an RXT clutch put in, drove it about 150 miles and it stopped wanting to come out of gear on deceleration. All the way to where if you stopped in first with the clutch depressed, it would be STUCK in gear. I'm half way through my master cylinder swap as I type this. Hopefully it fixes the issue so I can romp on the car for the last month of nice weather.
Yeaaaah, I did this replacement, but I used a metal GT 500 master cylinder instead of the plastic MC that came with it. I also installed an SVE clutch reservoir kit at the same time, and stomping on the clutch in this thing is night and day!
I have a twin disc clutch and it’s pretty aggressive, that being said am I installing it wrong or something it keeps breaking where the neck (before the plastic ring) is. This will be my 7th time replacing it too and I even used a gt500 clutch master cylinder please help
Generally speaking no, but I have seen a spring and material from the clutch disc break off and wedged itself between the clutch and the pressure plate not allowing the pressure plate to retract enough to free the broken part resulting in a condition were the flywheel cannot disengaged from the transmission. In this case you would notice an abnormal feel in the clutch pedal. Best of luck to you.

Glad you figured it out, i was wondering if a bad pressure plate can cause the same issue?
