I love my V6 Camaro! We all know haters can be/are jerks and we just scoff at them because they are really not true car enthusiasts. Thanks for posting this video!
I owned an 08 cts with the di 3.6 variant and I absolutely enjoyed it. 304 hp and that was more than enough for me. I’m back to a grand marquis now but I feel like the Camaro would be my choice as it would handle similarly to how the caddy did. Not to mention I think the 2010 and similar looked the best.
So when I was looking for a car I drove all 3, I wanted a pony car just don't know which one. Ended up getting a 2013 mustang premium, I would really suggest trying to find the premium model over the base. It gets some much needed creature comforts and a nicer interior ( not a lot nicer, but still better than base). Plus as mentioned in the video, the aftermarket is AMAZING for Mustangs, it's actually nuts how many parts there are and a lot of places to get them. I've modified my Stang a decent amount now and it really car keep up with better cars. Now I'm not saying I'm winning any races, It's still a mustang, but it's by no means a garbage can on wheels. My point is, I'd recommend the mustang over the other ones.
I have a v6 Camaro RS (2019). It's my daily driver. No complaints here. I drive 40 miles one way to work. Lot of 2 lane roads. I've had it for 3 years and it actually does descent in the snow. I put all season tires on it (20 inch wheels all around from the factory). I average 28 mpg. and I do get into on the 2 lane curves. My only complaint is the trunk sucks.
The best part of this video was the intro where he talks about the incessant idiocy you'll be dealing with if you buy a v6. The "should've bought a v8" parrots are legion. Here's the thing though; fuck 'em. I've got a '14 3.7 Mustang, and I'm happy with its performance. It's my weekend cruiser during the summer months, and I enjoy the Hell out of it. Not interested in racing anyone, not out to impress anyone. *I* like the car, and that's all that matters. That should be all that matters to ANY v6 owner - whether it's Mustang, Camaro, or Challenger. Enjoy the damn car & love it for what it is. And if you're not comfortable with that, then you'd better save up for a while longer & buy the v8, because you're clearly motivated entirely by what others think.
My 2018 camaro RS is 335 horsepower, weighs 3300 pounds now (on the Cadillac ATS platform now), runs 13.5 in the quarter mile, and I gap every 5.7 liter hemi charger and challenger I come across lol.
For practicality, I’d say the charger would be the best daily not for the amenities but for the weight. That weight can be beneficial in inclement weather conditions. Depending where you live, that would be your best option
Just got a 2016 v6 Mustang for a good price with low mileage. It's an absolute beast on the road with an interior that blows last gen out of the water.
I had a 11 challenger v6, best 60 was 6.3. I took several 1k+ trips in it with 3 adults comfortably and got 33+ mpg highway. I loved the look and ride quality. I didn’t care there was faster cars at the time, cause there’s always a bigger fish and I wasn’t tryin to keep up. Now I have a charger awd v8 I love. Though it’s not the fastest, it sounds great and rides smooth. Love the mustang and camaro also, can’t go wrong with any of them!
I’m a huge Mustang fanboy, but the 6th gen camaro really caught my attention. The interior is beautiful and paired with he right exhaust, it sounds amazing! Not to mention it has 335hp which is no slouch. These things are quick. Definitely may end up taking one over the Mustang
@@SlenderCobra931 From what I've heard, Camaro was made to rival Porsche for it's price point and handling, and it's been doing fairly respectable for the last few decades in doing so. Same was true with my 1988 Firebird, the Sway bars and WS6 suspension made that thing corner like nothing else.
Go way back to the 1980s....The Grand National was a first American V6 muscle car that few paid attention to until it was seen leaving Z28 Camaro s and Corvettes in the dust. Yep it is turbo charged and you see its factory. You dont have to mod it and for most people that's the trick. Now I can buy a V8 Camaro if I was rich and really only wanted to race it in the weakeds. But I got a 2012 V6 Camaro and enjoy the HP I never had in my old 1985 Z28. Its quiet inside the stereo is awesome, well I did put in and Alpine and did not like spending $350 for the instal kit to do it. Total stereo cost and I did do it myself was $900. The car cost me $9000. But still I am happy with my Camaro. It looks good rides nice and had enough get up and got.
@BForeman some had the performance package that came with the stiffer GT suspension and bigger wheels. And it still doesn't feel good going over bumps
I bought a 2012 silver performance package v6 mustang 3 years ago, traded into dealer, 2 owner car, only 27k miles. Wasn't cheap 18k, but was so clean. I daily it to work, unfortunately havecadd 40k miles to it, but she averages 30mpg, and that's even on the 93 tune I habe loaded, oh it's a 6speed manual. I add bbk shorties, alum 1 peace drive shift, lowered it, upgrade suspension, larger bbk tv, cai, Barton short throw shifter, replace the tail lights with the 13-14 ones, and much more, runs great and handles great.
I have one , a 2010 se , modified with true dual exhaust with Flowmasters , lowered, a cold air induction system, a 93 octane tune, so 300 hp and 275 foot pounds of torque. In 2024 it has 94,000 miles and the only problems I had was a bad door lock actuator and a battery. It has been a great car.
I recently traded in my 2004 Chevy Cavalier LS Coupe for a super deal on a 2006 Mustang V6 Pony Package. Previous owner put on dual exhaust with a K&N filter in the air box. I am extremely happy with it and think it's the best looking car in light blue that I've ever owned. It's plenty fast and I'm in my 50's now so I didn't buy it to do stupid sh#t with it. I've just got a fun daily driver that's really sexy.
Serious question to all the democats hating on the v6 American cars, whats wrong with a cheap performance car that offers 75% of the performance of the V8's? Especially the 3.7 Mustang which: 1. Has the same HP as the 2005-2010 Mustang GT stock 2. has a ton of aftermarket mod support for almost anything you can imagine, including ported intake manifolds, custom aluminum AND carbon fiber drive shafts, dozens of different full exhaust systems multiple supercharger and turbo kits, can be upgraded to all of the same chassis and suspension upgrades that every other Mustang can do, and even has internals that can be upgraded including custom ported cylinder heads, and stroker kits and forged block for heavy boost/nitrous. 3. Can actually have a ford FACTORY Eco-boost turbo system retrofitted off of the 3.5 turbo engine in the F150 which there of tons and tons of just sitting in junkyards right now. Yeah we all get it, you either got the base V8 with the same cloth seats as the V6 and want to feel better about yourself or you bought a foreign car because you wanted to impress other people, cool dude. Furthermore why is it ok to "stop" at the base V8 model, wouldn't a real man or whatever get the absolute apex performance trim offered of any car he would buy? So if you have any Mustang other then a Shelby you wasted your time by not just buying the better one, if you have any Camaro other then the ZL1 you wasted your time by not just buying the better one or if you have any Challenger other then a Hellcat you wasted your time by not just buying the better one, and if you did buy the top one you still wasted your time because you could have went out and bought a used Z06 or a 911 Turbo, and even then why didn't you buy the Bugatti? And really even if you have a Bugatti why didn't you customer order a space cruiser from Elon Musk? Who appointed you as the arbiter of what is the minimum acceptable level of performance car someone can own and still call themselves an enthusiast? Grow up and realize not everyone needs the biggest and best version of everything this reminds me of when kids in my elementary school would gossip about who didn't wear the cool clothes and shoes to school. Also remember if people did buy the V6 models theirs absolutely no way Ford/Chevy/Dodge would sell any of these cars, and we would have more people buying Crossovers and other completely non-performance orientated vehicles. I'll take a V6 Muscle car any day of the week over another horrendous Crossover, or another bland soulless appliance on tires.
Im a mystsng guy all the way and agree with most of your commentary, with the exception that a late model stock V6s may have the same hp at the crank as a stock 3 valve 4.6 v8, However there's enough difference in torque that can make a difference in overall 1/4 times and so on......at the end of the day it boils down to personal preference as to what make or model a guy or gal chooses to buy...let's all respect that choice and not show the hate....
Hey Mr Random I bought a Crown Victoria and Started my own RUclips Channel based on it it's a 2007 but I'm looking for 2004 to mod a bit. Thanks for the advice man!! I'm gonna do all the work paint, trans, engine myself. I'm going to finish copping it out in spring!
The 2005 - 2011 Crown Victoria's are just as modifiable as the 98's to 04's. The only difference since there drive buy wire they will cost a bit more to modify since they are mostly computerized.
@@hydrohyperdrive8443 I know it's just not worth the hassle to me! Especially the cost of some parts like a Throttle Body is a pretty big difference from dbw to cabls driven. And in my opinion the less electronic the better!
I have a 2002 v6 mustang, it was super cheap, has cheap insurance, and with the simple mods ive done to it is a very fun car! Considering that ive concentrated on handling, its more comparable to a 1st gen brz than anything.
Guys none of you should feel bad my friend purchased a 2011 Camaro LS BASE MODEL WITH STEELIES on it for 10K with 177k on it and it’s so ragged out looking steering wheel looks crusty. Tint is bubbling and peeling everywhere. It irritates me to look at it
I owned 2004 Buick regal GS, loved it. Supercharger are great pulley, and PCM. 30-40 whp. Stock the supercharged series 2 grand prix had identical performance as the challenger. I remember buying mine hitting 6.5-60 stock and getting 5.8-60 after pulley swap and PCM. Good luck ever getting traction. Of its time they were fast could hang with z28 and beat gt mustangs.
I admit the V6 doesn't sound like the V8s .Back in 87 the Camaro Z28 only had 165 hp and 0-60 was 8.7 seconds . Mustang had 225 and as for Dodge or Plymouth nothing by then . Have to give it to the tech that goes into these new motors . Only downfall is repairing these computers on wheels
I have a 2011 V6 camaro and the power is enough. There is enough space in the car for 4 people and the trunk is big enough for daily use or even short trips. The mustang is more a 2 seater than a 4 seater.
Well it's 2023 now and the real numbers are in! The top sold car is the Challenger and the least sold car is the Comaro. Chevy just can't seem to sell these things. But dodge really sold a lot of challengers. Like 3 times more than Ford and 4 times more than Chevy. It's crazy how both Ford and Chevy have far better performance than Dodge yet Dodge Challenger out sold both of them. If you ask me the Dodge Challenger just looks the best! Dodge really nailed it with the look of the challenger. Put a brand new Challenger beside a 1970 challenger and they look almost identical. You can't say the same about the others. It seems that the look matters the most when it comes to selling hot rods.
My brother-in-laws former 95 Mustang made 262 horsepower for GT v8 and then his Subaru STI WRX made roughly 400 horsepower for a 4 cylinder twin turbo… Muscle and Sport cars have increasingly improved in these past years despite other peoples opinions. And you know what who cares what they think because in the end it doesn’t matter as long as you enjoy driving it that all it matters. And i honestly don’t think the V6 is a budget car however I do think it’s a good alternative to the V8 because the V6 has better gas mileage and makes a good Option for the normal everyday driver. Looks great, sounds decently especially when you add mods to it then it sounds awesome, and has great fuel economy and overall it’s more of a practical vehicle. Especially when you add AWD too it for the Challengers and Chargers then it’s great for the snow.
Before you buy a 98 to 11 ford ranger/mazda b series pickup . leaf spring hangers will rust out and the b4000 troy lee is AF to find parts for but does wicked burnout. 4.0 ohv v6 with 410 gears and 4WD makes the truck a ass kicker on and off road.
Cyclone Mustang for sure. That engine completely stock sealed runs 10s all day with forced induction and many have proved it. Fastest stock engine ran a 9.6 in 1/4. Forged crank, rods and 6 bolt main from factory has this engine very under rated. I have a low effort procharged 3.7 Mustang making 460whp@10lbs on 91 octane. Ran a 12.1@117mph and that's considered slow in the forced induction Cyclone community. Sorry but both the Camaro and Challenger's V6 can't make the same claims at making power.
Camaros can but it’s a harder road. Me myself haven’t done a track run but I know from Dino I’m at 438hp but ur right those 3.7s can become some mean beast
v6 is for someone who wants to have the experience without the hassle. i love my camaro v6, i drive it everyday, its heavy on fuel but a fun experience, every morning at 5 30 am i hop in my car and forget everything else, my balls tingle from the after market exhaust and i feel at ease. its a every day guys car without the hassle and the extreme fuel bills.
I used to own a 3800 Camaro back in the day and here's what I would suggest. DON"T BUY ONE!!!! Buy something reliable like a honda, toyota or subaru. Pay it off and maintain AND Invest towards the car you really want. Don't waste your time trying to modify a V6 Mustang, Camaro or Challenger. eventually you'll out grow it and want more power. You'll end up spending more modifying a V6 than if you bought a V8 car. Plenty of affordable V8 cars out there that won't break the bank. Just remember kids. All these V6 pony cars are well within the price range of a Corvette C5, 98-02 Z28 or T/A WS6, You can even get a Coyote cheaper than a Cyclone Mustang too. All cars that are cheaper to insure, maintain, and probably get better gas mileage. Again thats why you buy a honda, save and invest your money so you can own a daily driver and have a real car to work on for fun....
You lost me at coyote for cheaper you must mean a ragged out one or your not from USA damn sure not Florida. You gotta be one of those people that think all v6 are slow cause it don't have a v8, plus that crap about the insurance. Mustang 3.7 will hit 60 in 5.4 seconds stock. Fbo break into the 4s hit high 12s in 1/4. It will beat 90% of muscle cars up until late 90 early 2000s. Mustang has Identical stats as 2002 z28 and ws6 firebirds. Well maintained they get well over 200000 miles.
Too me the v6 is the new small lock plenty other cars that are bad ass that are v6 like 350z n most every other car companies fastest shortest coupes are v6s only the American motor companies still use the v6 as the powerhouse
My 2010 4.0 V6 is doing great I've had it for 5 years 133k miles now got it with 76k. It has the same engine as the ford ranger and the explorer that 4.0 V6 is more reliable than the 3.7
My 05 is at 177,000 and this year will mark 6 years of ownership! I got mine with 127,000 on it. There have been times that I have thought about selling it but never went through with it. I just can’t bring myself to get rid of it, I love it as a daily beater🤣

0:50 well said XD even tho i obviously prefer the v8, i dont care what engine people have in their cars. As long as your happy, thats all that really matters.
Trying to decide v6 camaro or v8 mustang but I really love the look of camaro but really love the sound of a v8 but I can't afford a v8 camaro right now
I have a v6 camaro and it’s not a 6 sec 0 to 60 I averaged 5.3 sec stock but with small tune and little bolt on I averaged 4.7 0 to 60 but if you’re going for 2005 to 2009 GT I would take the Camaro it will be slightly faster and better technology but if it’s a 5.0 in a 2010 or up then I say the mustang
Many people dont realize that most V6 "muscle cars" now adays literally have more power than older V8s, and yes i know technology has improved and all, but its still interesting imo
Not sure if the v6 mustang shown here is stock or not,,but most if not all Google searches show the 2014 v6 0 to 60 times between 5.7 and 6.0 ...which is still very good but a bit slower than the Quoted 5.2 shown here????? No hate intended just curious of the differences..

Lmao right now I feel bad for my baby
@@justa3v619 used to have a 3V myself, wish I had it back, such an awesome car. And there’s vids of guys making those 3V engines as fast as the 5.0’s without boosting, underrated engines
I love my V6 Camaro! We all know haters can be/are jerks and we just scoff at them because they are really not true car enthusiasts. Thanks for posting this video!
I have a v6 Camaro and I love it
I owned an 08 cts with the di 3.6 variant and I absolutely enjoyed it.
I've always found the V6 Challenger to be more rental car than the other 2. If I was buying one I'd go with the Mustang.
Team cammy
I wouldn’t doubt it lol
Thanks you , for posting my 0-60 video, surprised me when I saw it
For practicality, I’d say the charger would be the best daily not for the amenities but for the weight. That weight can be beneficial in inclement weather conditions. Depending where you live, that would be your best option
Just got a 2016 v6 Mustang for a good price with low mileage. It's an absolute beast on the road with an interior that blows last gen out of the water.
Mustangs have the best v6, though I do love the GTs on the challenger.
I thought Camaros are considered sports cars? That is a huge debate though. I myself own a v6 2015 Camaro LS and I never had any problems with it.
I have a 2013 Camaro rs and I can tell you this is the best handling car I have ever driven by far.
Same!!
I’ve got a 14 rs and I’ve owned a vette, Porsche, mustangs and nothing handles like my rs it’s ridiculous
Same here I own Camaro v6 2014 rs 2lt M6 FBO and I love this car very fast for me 💪🔥
They’re so good at handling. And they are quick. Got mine to 171. Not stock tho
I know people will hate me...but dodge is the only one who makes a muscle car i like these days
I had both briefly, the V6 mustang fell like the rear shift over bumps, the Camaro was more solid and better gas mileage
They come with comfort suspension which yeah in a mustang it feels terrible to go over anything in my opinion. But all great cars
@BForeman some had the performance package that came with the stiffer GT suspension and bigger wheels. And it still doesn't feel good going over bumps
3.7 Cyclone is the king of V6 pony cars . It’s very modifiable and versatile. Now it’s not a VQ but it’s damn close.
Camaro RS M6 2014 Mod...injen intake, apex scoop, Laminator fx ,elite catch can, resonador delete, x pipe, magnaflow quad tip, i love my Camaro 💪🔥
I prefer the looks of the Camaro but I suppose the Challenger is more practical
Can’t wait. I have a ATS 3.6. Which puts out same hp as my 08 sts v8 😮. So it is quick but I hate all the computer crap that cuts it “fun” out.
I love my 2012 V6 Stang. Factory 331 gears and I have out ran a few Hemi Callengers on the mean streets of Mexico. 😎👍
Same with the Camaro. Which sucks for them but it just shows that those things weigh so damn much
I have a SS but them V6 ain’t no joke a lot faster than any ricers you see today
Got a 2012 V6 camaro as my first car and it was hands down the best purchase of my life
I have a Procharged v6 mustang and have never lost to a n/a Hemi, coyote, or LS
The bigger displacement is usually gonna sound better remembered that. A good built 4.0 mustang sounds sweet.
My stock act challenger was getting 6.097 seconds before I upraded her. With exhaust and intake I am now getting a consistent 5.6
What exactly did you do to the exhaust and what kind of intake did you put in it
2012-15 camaro v6 lfx is the best
Serious question to all the democats hating on the v6 American cars, whats wrong with a cheap performance car that offers 75% of the performance of the V8's?
Especially the 3.7 Mustang which:
1. Has the same HP as the 2005-2010 Mustang GT stock
2. has a ton of aftermarket mod support for almost anything you can imagine, including ported intake manifolds, custom aluminum AND carbon fiber drive shafts, dozens of different full exhaust systems multiple supercharger and turbo kits, can be upgraded to all of the same chassis and suspension upgrades that every other Mustang can do, and even has internals that can be upgraded including custom ported cylinder heads, and stroker kits and forged block for heavy boost/nitrous.
Im a mystsng guy all the way and agree with most of your commentary, with the exception that a late model stock V6s may have the same hp at the crank as a stock 3 valve 4.6 v8,
However there's enough difference in torque that can make a difference in overall 1/4 times and so on......at the end of the day it boils down to personal preference as to what make or model a guy or gal chooses to buy...let's all respect that choice and not show the hate....
You sound hurt 😢

Best thing about the V6 Camaro if you can do the work for under $2k of add ons you can a have 400 plus HP car
You have suggestions for this?
Sure thing! Save 8k, spend 5k to make V8 power, then blow the engine = stonks🤦♂️
No lie the introduction spot on 😂😂
I got a 2012 Camaro (modded) for 9k with 120k Miles which is super low when looking at V6 muscle cars on marketplace and Car Gurus.
You got hit from the back with no lubricant, mods don’t add value. Paid 11K for my RS with 66K miles.
Paid 13K for 88K miles on 2010 Camaro. Almost fully loaded.
Guys none of you should feel bad my friend purchased a 2011 Camaro LS BASE MODEL WITH STEELIES on it for 10K with 177k on it and it’s so ragged out looking steering wheel looks crusty. Tint is bubbling and peeling everywhere. It irritates me to look at it
Yeah I’m getting myself a 97 to 03 Pontiac Grand Prix with a 3.8 liter v6 supercharged
I'm in my 30's and have six of them. My favorite i have a 2000 Daytona gtp. Great cars
Damn that's a badass car! I love Pontiacs.
I recently now own a 98 Gtx Daytona. One of 33 gtxs of 1500 Daytonas
The intro is on point
Looking at hopefully getting a 2013 mustang 3.7 roush rs, looks good and is generally quite fast.
6th gen Camaro v6 is the way to go
here i am a year later with my V6 camaro, and listening to the prices from then as opposed to now makes me want to cry. i paid 19k for a 2014
Yea I payed 16k for my 2013 v6 mustang last month 💀
I'm about to lay $18K for a 2015. Wtf are these prices now
I payed 21k for a 2014😢
I had a challenger rental and it was a V6 and honestly it had much more grunt that I thought. Was still pretty fun. Sounded like meh tho
I autocrossed that course in a 15 yellow 1LE
V6 challengers don't have manual transmission option.
camaro V6 2LT 335hp great gas mileage, dependable, driveable, durable, and insurable!
shhh, giving away our secrets... dont tell them about how our camaro's average over 34mpg
Fr I’ve always wondered which engine is best to boost
Ik that the cyclone can handle reving up to 7500 rpms when the others can’t do that.
I got myself a 2012 mustang 3.7, honestly she’s a monster
I drive them all... but when I climb in a camaro it just feels cheap inside
Which one has the best manual transmission?
FYI: The 3.7 V6 was available in 2011 Mustang, so don't know why he starts with the 2012 model.

Lets be honest, the only people watching this are those of us who got the notification and thought to our selves "This man is making a Rental Car Before You Buy video?"

Love your videos bro lol always make me laugh and always teaching me new shit
First, Just don't buy a v6 Sn95 Mustang
or just don’t buy a v6
Are the dodge v6 engines still unreliable? I’ve heard they are but not sure if they’ve done any changes to them.
No they’re pretty good
The high the biggest flaw of the v6 Camaro is the open differential ☹️☹️☹️
Many people dont realize that most V6 "muscle cars" now adays literally have more power than older V8s, and yes i know technology has improved and all, but its still interesting imo
Not sure if the v6 mustang shown here is stock or not,,but most if not all Google searches show the 2014 v6
0 to 60 times between 5.7 and 6.0 ...which is still very good but a bit slower than the
Quoted 5.2 shown here?????
No hate intended just curious of the differences..
Why isnt there a comparison video of the latest gen v6 cars. Couldnt find one video.
Where are these prices you're talking about? Can't find anything below $18K on any.
Great content bro. BUT your pricing is way off in this market today. 14 mustang manual premium is my choice but cannot find one @$10k! They wanting 20k now...ouch. Not paying that!
Is there something wrong with a 2011 v6 mustang? Why was it not included? I believe it is also a s197 with the cyclone 3.7, is there any reason to avoid the 11?
HP is kinda irrelevant you can always get a good tune and bump up about 50hp with minor mods if any.
GM any old W body & F Body car with 3800 Series 1,2,3 engine with Supercharger the engine is bulletproof , W body and F Body cars are very cheap on used cars market , Nissan Altima 3.5L& 3.7L V6 2003-2009, Nissan Maxima 2003-2012 V6
i'm going against the grain , Team cammy
the presentation is great!
Some people making fun of v6 but , don’t have a simple Camry 😂
That front spoiler on the V6 Mustang is a pylon popper..
Idk what anyone thinks. I bought my cameo for me. And people forget that the new v6 has more stock horse power than the popular muscle cars of the 70’s and 80’s
Im not a V6 guy BUT a V6 1LE Camaro will ruin the day of a lot of people on a tight road course or autocross
The 6th gen v6 in the alpha chassis is the best hands down .
I agreed
The V6 is plenty of power to enjoy and have fun. I spend 0 time on the track. Even the V8 guys are not happy until they MOD up to +1000 WHP. If you are not trying to crap on every person next to you at a red light this is all you need to enjoy the car
Are these folks gonna pay for the price difference between the V6 and V8?
I skipped all those and went with the ATS. Looks much better
