I have been driving short wheelbase Landcruiser commercials since 2006 - on my third now - and the rear loadspace on them leaves a lot to be desired but I definitely could not hack the ridiculously small load space in the back of a Defender 90. I am thinking of getting a 110 hardtop next year. Test drove a new one last week and it was just amazing.
@@mougabo ye I think they've updated the site recently and you can only now get coils for the defender 90 hard top and not air suspension. But you can now also get coil springs on the defender 110 were as before you could only get air suspension.

Just a shame they fitted too much electronics into it. Even this version with coil springs is just going to be a nightmare taking off road or out of warranty.
Ye but the discovery 4s and older range rovers were fine and most modern day tractors are absolutely jam packed full of tech so I don't think it will be that bad but I think this cars going to be like a mobile phone, you'll change it in a few years time for something more up to date.

I’ve just purchased that very same Defender... It’s absolutely awesome. 💯 Recommend the 90 HT..
is this car also able to change height from the ground???
@@mougabo if you get the air suspension then yes but if you get the coil springs then no unless you install a lift kit.

The name Defender wasn't used until the 90/110 had the 200 Tdi engine.

Still cannot get my mountain bikes in the back, and racking for my gas business. Just a car with no windows tbh.
I saw a heritage defender for sale the other day for like £80,000 which is almost twice the amount of the new defender hard top.
