While the NTTs may not have the best views from the front, it's still better than having no front view at all.

First and what is a tier 3 RFW?

Tier 1: Direct glass to exterior like R32s
Tier 2: Glass to full width cab, which allows you to see out all cab windows, like R62As
Tier 3: Blurred glass to full width cab, which only allows you to see a narrow view of the track ahead and can cause distortion, like R160s

@@TRRailfan What a shame that we now have to have technical terms for degrees of blindness. The "direct glass" of all the old cars were how I first engaged with the subway, when as a child I wasn't tall enough to look out of R-16's and BMT A/B standards. Clear, accessible"front windows" were the agent by which I first became enamored of the subwy and knowledgeable about its then-neat signals (I write as "fixed-block wayside color-light signals" are now cited as the bane of urban transit and on their way out). Here's to you, "tier-1 RFW's".
