The PA5s' cab door could be converted to a Tier 1 RFW like the R32s. Typically, the Port Authority strictly prohibits this practice and keeps the non-window cab door as a complete cab due to security and terrorism concerns. However, that day, the last car had the cab door converted from a full cab to a half cab. Note the 1874 tunnel brick wall from the usual 1900s iron ring tube from 3:17-4:12 that was abandoned and flooded for over 30 years. Also, note the Christmas tree at 5:53 on the right side erected by tower operators every holiday since the 1950s by signal repairman Joe Wojtowicz and passed on to the second and third generations. The tree always gets completely dust-covered when the holiday is over and replaced annually. Taken on 1/25/23.
6:11; The PATH station, Newport, is a city in New Jersey because this train is going to Journal Square, NJ. Also, this station's announcement said you can change an other train to World Trade Center which is a New York stop in Manhattan.

This means Hoboken is further than Journal Square. NOTE: The colorful hearts from my description show that each line has a destination to go from New York to New Jersey if people are at 33rd. Street - Greeley Square or World Trade Center. You are welcome from my comments from below at your clip, Jassy & Train Rider Railfan.
I love the PATH! But riding through those tunnels makes me feel extremely claustrophobic because of the high duct banks, in addition to all the cabling that mounted on the tunnel walls. In some ways, certain tube stretches remind me of the tunnels on the 7-Flushing line, between Grand Central/42nd St. and Vernon Blvd/Jackson Av.
Sure, in rare situations like the PATH RFW. In general areas (stations, train interiors) not much since the social media and smartphone era. The strictest I remembered was c. 2005-2017. Been caught twice, but nowadays, definitive proof of your railfanning (Ex: MTA pics) makes them trust. Looks like PATH finally mostly gave up on harassing railfans/tourists, especially with their upcoming PATH Performs! Program encouraging photos/videos. Still, be extremely cautious with bigger cameras, as it is still reported that using handheld camcorders and DSLRs has resulted in fans getting PAPD announcing over the PA intercom and getting a visit moments later.
Nice work brother 👏 👌 👍 💪 I know path train are very strict rules path, saying no camera allows because they don't like being recorded by employees you be careful about. Path train Port Authority Trans-Hudson will bust your ass .

Surprised no one yelled at you for filming. They are pretty strict on PATH.

4:10; The word PATH is an acronym that reads "Port Authority Trans-Hudson." Also, this means that all trains are going under the Hudson River.
