If you get Circe's keepsake to level 3 itll make the arcana it gives fully upgraded. Because your circe's keepsake is level 1, the random arcana wont be upgraded (even if you have the arcana fully upgraded in your arcana selection menu). Circes keepsake will dictate the level of the arcana you acquire
That hearthrob damage went insane though, I might actually try to do a hearthrob focused run now
Leveled night bloom was very fun to use on bosses like Eris. You hide behind a pillar while a big boy deletes her hp lmao.

I love judgment in concept as it acts a bit like routine inspection, but gives you cards for almost free
4:25 Hades 1 has many Aspects that alternate attack/special. So even though Chiron has two AMAZING hammers, Attack hammers contribute. Meanwhile, an Attack hammer on Momus does nothing, except the armor-reducing Dash-strike. We need more two-button Aspects to make Hammers feel better
mentioned this on another video but i really think judgement runs would be so much more viable if you had the option to use them with vow of abandon (routine inspection), since on their own they feel very unnecessary and realistically you'd never go out of your way to use them. supergiant has gold here, they just gotta dig it up!!!

Good stuff. Just had a similar run but hera instead of demeter. Spamming the omega is insane. Was able to activate origination with hera special and passion dash too. Strongest build I've run so far. Gonna fish for a similar set up on medea skulls, sounds fun. Thanks for the vids!

Building a shotgun with Artemis aspect is really powerful cause every omega spec counts only as 1 strike and then by the time you’ve used all 9 strikes the parry is up again
Just did a 32 fear Judgment run. Super fun. Almost failed Erebus but luckily got Eternity after Hecate. Wasted 2 DDs because Swift Runner didn't get activated until I was done with Cerberus. Recommend everyone to try.
If you use darkside with the cast Poseidon an upgrade dark side to use your cast without channel it’s op you can spam Poseidon’s cast like crazy during your darkside
The way I've had fun with Judgement, I'll take the DDs, cast damage, and some other damage boost that I think will be helpful
some of the hammer options need reworking tbh, they just arent very attractive even with builds they are meant for

I'm sad he skipped the resurrection hex, it's crazy with judgement. When you use it on the sirens fight to res a siren it retriggers judgement when they die, letting you get to 25/25 arcana by the end of zone 2.
I suppose that's more reliable than the *Crystal Figurine* Method I was trying. 👀
dark side is good with lingering effects. Lets you get 5-9 more secs of invuln while flames spin, cast does stuff, and if you are doing flat damage increases it can apply to your attack fairly well. Combine with Hephy early invuln, you can get close to 25 or even 30 sec of invulnerability to just clear bosses and rooms for free running in like an idiot. Good to let scorch tick down too if doing a hestia run.
With Circe’s keepsake, I’ve had her give me judgment after my Hecate kill on an otherwise full arcana run. Unfortunately since I was running high fear on a build that wasn’t coming together, I didn’t survive long enough to see all 25 arcanas 😢
I advice Poseidon attack boon for Sister Blades (daggers). It will both provide range and more likely a higher damage compared to even Aphrodite boon. Dagger attack sequence composes of very ast but low damage hits except the last one (where Poseidon loses to other boons). Applying same logic, you should add Zeus attack lightning enhancement if you are willing to prime 50 magic. I mean I take risk of priming 50 magic even Rank 2 "Vow of Arrogance" is active which basically disables me from magic and Hexes, it is foolish maybe but if you add Daedalus 30% attack speed and Apollo attack speed on the top of those... well you basically will have a none to few utility but nice damage all around Sister Blades build. You want to leaver 20 non-primed available magic for the riposte at least though. Similarly Artemis "Support Fire" boon would be a nice addition. Any high attack low damage per hit aspect would benefit from such boons immensely.
Is it just me or does anyone else avoid getting a hex because almost all of them are practically useless?
I feel like they could be considered almost training wheels. Especially the one that heals, the one that slows and the one that makes you impervious. After you get the hang of the game, you stop using them
yeah path does give you bonuses when the hex is not active but it's still bad. i feel like it's supposed to be another version of the call from hades 1 but its way too underpowered rn except for moon water
the heal, polymorph and slow down are the most useful, the damage ones all seem awful they need to scale better for it to ever be worth it
they're just absolutely not good unless you're able to commit to more path of stars. non-dmging ones mostly don't work on Chronos as well, making it feel worse, and Ray is actively dangerous if you were unable to get more Path of Stars to make it autofire (and even then, tracking is slow)
I’m not very good at this game yet, but they really feel like a tax to me when you could get some resources or a boon.
Okay so I have done dark side once, with it upgraded its basically free invun super often with some free damage while in that state. Its my first full complete on grandpa. I think its underrated
If we cant reroll hammer at least they should allow us to decline the hammer and turn it into a pom or something cause some hammer can really messed up your run *Advancing whirlwind flashback*
In Circe’s defense, once you rank up the keepsake it doesn’t screw you like that lol
I was wondering if you can reposte the chronos 1 shot
How would you feel about a Chaos legendary that trades all of your elements (excluding you from getting infusions) and gives you like +% damage from all sources
The thing I dislike about the Aspect of Artemis, is that vs. Chronos-- his Scythe swing will be Riposted but the Stun will still hit, so the Omega Attack just gets cancelled.
But that in itself sounds like a Chronos issue, cause why would the stun still kick in?
Before I'm even watching, I know for a fact that the title isn't clickbait. Apollo's legendary is OH so good with the sister blades, especially the Aspect of Pan
This build feels like the aspect of Arthur with Artemis in Hades I were the bigger the number the more the dopamine.
i already played with the artemis daggers - the most crit was something around 5k XD its hilarious!
Judgement is the funnest/best card in the game as long as you start with the DD's and the titan card with it
I had reasonably good results with Dark Side on Mel torches Omega Special spam. Dump all your magick, pop Dark Side, and just commit for 5 seconds. I wouldn't say it's a game breaker, but it has some uses.

As for the hammers debate if the game leaned more toward just giving us the hammers that related to the aspect then that would be nice. That would also feel less organic though, almost like it is a gimme (e.g. Charon axe always had faster O-special show up in hammers). I think the best solution is to just let us roll thev hammers, spend as many rolls as we can to have a chance at getting it and if we dont then we dont.
I kinda have fun with Judgement. Definitely not for every run, but it’s alright every now and then
Idk why but for some reason I can't parry any of the Chronos' attacks in both phases, not just the instakill. I get riposte and don't take damage but no parry :((( maybe skill issue but it worked more consistently in previous patch for me
They need to do a full rework of the moon abilities. The only one that good is the healing. When Haelian said "Dark Side, I dont get it" thats exactly how I feel about it.
I can't seem to find an answer googling, how do you know which boons will supply what when you're taking them? ie) when you take/skip a special/cast boon and you just know the next boon you take you wont be able to get another/new one to replace it?
It's a Vow... unpicked blessings won't appear again if they are not Chosen.
Core boons (attack, special, cast, sprint/dash, gain) are exclusive. You can have only one of each.
New boons can offer swaps (or sacrifices, in Hera's language). These can only be offered at a higher rarity than the boon being sacrificed, and it is done so rarely. Filling a core slot makes it much less likely the same slot will be offered by other gods.

I was just a little confused by the fact that by skipping a cast boon, he still would say that he wont be offered another until a specific amount later, just wanted to know how that sort of math is figured out
@@toxiccaliburn3rd753It is somewhat more likely with Vow of Forsaking, but there isn't a predictable number of boons for a swap except for Hera's boon that forces the next boon to offer a swap (with bonus pom levels).
Wait, it's -50 percent cooldown? It needs better wording, I didn't upgrade it cause i though it was faster charge on the omega attack

The most fun I've had with Judgement was when I threw on Circe's keepsake to level it up and it unlocked Judgement for me after I beat Hecate. I left Circe's keepsake on the entire run and ended up with 23 out of 25 Arcana, it would have been more if Circe's keepsake was better upgraded. I will never turn on Judgement again.

8:01 I feel very upset by this, why do we get so few god offers in Erebus? I want to get a couple of boons to get through this place asap but all I get are bones, ashes, arcana, repeat. if I leave Erebus with 3 or more boons it probably means I bought them past the first 2. and don't get me started on Selene on the first room, idk how I'm supposed to clear this biome in time if all I have for the first 5 encounters is a Selene boon that won't rly help me this early on and probably won't help me in the end either

@@lookalike4805 it's technically an option but I don't think it solves the issue bc it changes to something random, you might get a god you don't want or still not get any god at all
artificer is a palliative solution, imo. idk if I'm asking too much but I wish the game always offered 2 boons on the first 3 chambers

@@lookalike4805 there's still some control on what to get with rerolls on doors and such... and the game offers more than one god many times.
having rng isn't the issue, it makes this game interesting, but I don't like every rng, so 6 grasp points that might just give me more rng to screw me over isn't interesting, that's a lot of points that could've gone somewhere else
it doesn't activate cards with your own unlocked rarity? that just doesn't seem fair
to be fair, that's because he doesn't have the keepsake levelled. at max level it seems to give you a max upgrade arcana card instead
(i say seems because i haven't levelled it myself i just looked at other sources lol)
@conorhannon3352 I think they're talking about judgment, but I think it balances itself out by giving you randomly upgraded cards sense if you have all cards fully maxed out it could get OP after Cerbeus

Please someone tell me what origination is. I've looked online and no help there. I keep hearing about it, but no matter how many haelian videos I watch I've never seen this "origination". No joke, what the heck is it?
It’s similar to privileged status from Hades I. Enemies affected by at least 2 curses (blitz, freeze, weak, etc.) take extra damage. It’s an arcana card and gives you up to +50% dmg at lvl 3
Origination is an arcana card - it does the same thing as privileged status from hades 1 where you multiplicatively deal more damage to enemies with two "curses" eg. God status effects.
It is extremely important to get going in high heat runs - max upgraded the arcana card gives 50% more damage which is an absolute ton.

I hate the acana awakening mechanic. Having to gimp your loadout to get certain cards feels bad. Most of the similar mechanics changed compared to Hades 1 are worse imo.
I mean, in Hades 1 sometimes you would want both sides of certain options on the mirror, too, but you're forced to pick one. it's not too different here, but you're given more freedom in what you can choose to give up
@@GoXDSi felt the same initially but the more i play the more it almost feels like *less* freedom and more annoying.
Its like a little puzzle, which is neat, but between the varying card costs and the frankly obnoxious awakening requirements for a few cards (duos, epics, and rerolls come to mind) it feels insanely restricting in what combos you can actually reasonably run.
In hades 1 it was 1 for 1, you either took one side or the other, whereas in this game taking a 5 cost card probably locks you out of all the other 5 costs or 2-3 low cost cards.
