Aspect of Momus is definitely working with the cast. If you look at 32:28, there's very clearly 3 instances of major damage that overlap with prominence flare. It only copies the burst damage from the omega cast, which doesn't include the initial damage from solar ring and only activates when the omega cast expires (hence why it's at the same time as flare). The constant hits from flare just obscure it.
Also, Sorceress did work against Chronos
It recasts the Omega Cast faster than it lasts, so the 3 flares just stacks, and the Omega dmg is seen on top of the flare, we can see jumping
Dammit, starting my assignment just got delayed by 42:46.
So a few things to note about how Momus works with the omega cast specifically - I learned a lot about it on a Momus Heph cast run.
The Momus pulsing your omega casts DOES reapply all the effects of a regular cast for the instant it detonates. Heph cast does another DONG, Hestia applies a tick of scorch, Demeter applies freeze, Zeus hits with exactly 1 lightning bolt, and the omega cast damage modifiers from things like the +100 power arcana take effect on the pulses normally.
Now for the fun part - slower Momus is actually slightly interesting because the orb that pulses is actually decoupled from your cast cooldown. You can cast a regular cast while Momus is still pulsing omega casts. This allows you to essentially cover two areas of a room with cast effects at the same time. I figured this out during the Heph cast run I did because the pulses essentially behave like a second Hephaestus cast that starts after your cast ends, and I could drop a normal cast while it was still going.
Pretty funny stuff
This is the only video I have every been frustrated with, omega cast damage happens when the cast expires. It deal the type of damage matching your cast boon, thus the same type as prominence flare. When the orb appears as soon as the cast ends and does the omega explosion, it does it 2 more times in 1 second (once every 0.5 sec) and since it is the same type a prominence flare the numbers are added together but they also finish before the prominence flare animation so it is all one big damage number. you can see the explosion if you watch closely.
all in in-game time
11:18.31, 442 dmg. Prominence Flare ticks bring it to 467, 492, 517, 542..., so 25 each. then at 11:18.99, it jumps up to 984, which is +442. continuing the 25 dmg ticks to 1009. 1034, 1059, then jumps to 1526 at 11:19.49. so it does seem that Momus is working fine. it does not affect Prominence Flare, which is why it's still only +25 dmg ticks reach rather than +50 or +75 (or even less time between ticks, it's just 3~4 ticks before the next burst. not that previous patch saw Momus work on Geyser Ring or old Solar Ring anyways
EDIT: nvm, mistook the 91 ticks as Solar Ring, when those are the Gales. Solar Ring is the 117 only once. Solar Ring hits don't get repeated by Momus
I think there’s also a visual glitch happening, where the red orb from Momus that usually indicates when the re-casts happen is appearing far too early. Before he started noticing the issue in the video, the red orb appears after the cast expires, and the re-casts coincide with what the red orb indicates. Then after the aspect was upgraded, the red orb started appearing when the omega cast was first placed down, instead of after it expired like before.
@@jamesatkins4256 not quite. red orb always appears immediately when channeling is complete. Omega Casts being delayed due to mechanics of needing cast to expire is what's tripping people's perception. red orb does not indicate when recasts happen. it indicates Momus is active and from where it'll retrigger.
EDIT: correcting my mistake regarding Solar Ring. either way, early run should make the bursts very apparent from before Haelian gets Prominence Flare

This is the build you want that Hera boon that shoots a line when you Omega.
The damage was being added to prominence flares because they both deal the same type of damage

I LOVE the lucid gain changes. It's busted on Charon, and it's not actually amazing on most other aspects, but I like that it incentivizes you to play a little differently, by sticking around inside your casts (without punishing you for using omega moves while you're in there, like it used to when you couldn't refill mana while channeling). That change in play style is fun! I just absolutely adore this change.

Omega Solar ring is 2 seconds long, i assume it just exhausts the delay between the extra omega bursts which are 0.5 secs from hephy's lego.
While i dont think it's a bug, solar ring has always been messy with momus

I think the duo thing is related to how they nerfed the vow that banishes unpicked boons. Now even if you extinguished all options, it would still roll for your chance of the duo getting offered. And since you didn’t turn on the Queen card then it was rolling low.
So the reason it adds it to the flare damage is because both the omega cast damage and the flare damage are considered non curse/effect types damage as far as I can tell. F.ex. the Hephaestus blast damage is more visible because it shows up as an orange number, the Apollo cast damage that is related to the daze effect shows up as yellow, while the flare and the omega damage are just basic damage, which shows up as white and when you deal said a ton of said damage in a short amount of time it will just show up as a big number, instead of separate smaller numbers.
I haven't looked at the code of the game but from watching the footage I think it's something along those lines that is happening.

So I was looking at the cast during 8:30 and again at 29:23 and after looking at it at 0.5x speed, it seems as though momus doesn't make flare happen multiple times but it immediately detonates solar ring during flare. we see this at 8:30 when solar ring activates, then flare activates, then ring activated once during and after flare's duration. 29:23 shows the extra rings activate before flare expires (since flare is 2 seconds and momus is 0.5). Not sure if it dealt the extra dmg though.
for future reference, if you didn't already know, you can actually also advance the video frame by frame! while paused, you can press the < and > keys to advance or rewind one frame at a time!
It does deal extra damage. Since it is the same type of damage it is added into prominence flare. It doesn't trigger prominence flare but just omega damage three time.

I would be fine with solar ring moving to prominence flare, but they nerfed the damage into the ground and it just doesn’t feel good anymore. The new Poseidon cast also feels super weird because it’s only things in front of you. Otherwise, cast changes are mostly a W across the board. The only other thing is lightning bolts from Zeus no longer count as omega damage, meaning Persephone, witch’s mark, and local climate no longer increase the damage. That’s mostly semantic though
They changed persephone to also work with regular cast damage, no?

Heph legendary + Heph+Hera duo is probably my favorite “raw” damage build. Glad to see the legendary get some love (edit: also hamster dance from ancient internet times, a meme before memes were a popular word)

I think the omega cast is activateing before the cast exspiers. causeing it to due nothing due to not being alowed to have more than one cast
nah. go to 11:18.20 ingame time and go frame by frame and you can see the Omega ticks vs Prominence Flare ticks. 13:49.10 for Solar Ring ticks as well. they're working fine

i dont know if the devs ment to do this, but mirrored thrasher now also affects the omega attack, so youre doing more than twice the amount of damage you should be doing, if you also have the +40 power hammer its one of the most disgusting things ive ever played, circe or momus are absolutely broken with this, i really think you should try it if you havent 😼😼😼
in a perfect world you can also get the apollo legendary, i dont know how that would work tho (since it fires 2 times, and it also hits twice, it would mean that youre hitting 4 times, or maybe, since it might be an error, it doesnt work, idk)

I saw someone in the chat said that they got born gain at heroic and it was more prime then at the white rarity. I want everyone to know if that's not true going from common all the way to heroic it is 20 18 16 14. And it is still good🎉
