@@StrangerForever85 I don't think it was a glitch (in fact, my inability to escape may have been a glitch, though it did happen twice) or even an oversight, they just decided that they wouldn't let you off that easy anymore. Also makes it so that if you're playing permadeath you have to kill them, which is pretty brutal.

Most were named syncretizing gods of the neighboring polytheistic religions as evil entities , Ishtar/Astarte/Astaroth, Baal/Bael/Beelzebub, etc. By the middle ages when esoteric chritianism was very popular demonology exploded and the rest is history...

I still remember that 1st playthrough constantly feeling on edge, sense sharp as a razor and jumpy as a mf. that constantly over the course of a 100 somthing hours is imho a better horror experience than aforementioned classical entries into the genre. Horror wants to scare you. Good horror doesn't need to, to make you feel scared. that which is unknown commands the greatest fear

I am loving the non-souls content you're coming out with. It's nice to see a challenge runner do games that aren't back breaking difficult and it sounds like you're actually enjoying these runs (or at least most of them). Souls were good, but variety is the spice of life. My ideas for challenge runs are not great, but more games I'm hoping to see in the future: * Monster Hunter (world or otherwise) : I've recently fallen in love with this series and loved your kinsect run. I would even like seeing non challenge run playthroughs of these. * Metroid (any of them) : There HAS to be some untapped challenge run potential here * Resident Evil / Silent Hill / Horror games in general : horror games usually make good challenge run / interesting puzzles
Metroid is a hard one to plan a challenge for; in most games all the items you gather are required for progression, with the exception of missile expansions and E-tanks. pacifist isn't really viable, since some rooms lock Samus inside until all enemies are defeated. the most likely challenges that could be done are 1. Missiles only (which will tak a LOT of resource juggling), or 2. One-Tank challenge (late game bosses will be a PAIN)
@@the_solomon_sage8431 I was going to suggest morph ball bombs only, but I can already think of a couple rooms you need to power bomb in where you can't necessarily kill every enemy before doing so. I'm not an SM expert, so maybe I'm wrong, but I feel like that challenge will inevitably get killed by some minor enemy on the other side of a wall or floor.

Oh, lemon! A heads up about the "no follower" run, thaaat might be tricky considering well... if you have no followers, you die after a certain amount of time. Game even goes so far as to delete the save.

Something you should know. Revival totally can be a cure for old age. A l,ot of the time, if you sacrifice an old person, you can bring them back as a young person lol.

You know, of all the evil things in this game, the most diabolical was making the village grid tilted. It was so difficult to not hate myself for not aligning everything...
Fun fact: before sins of the flesh there used to be no cap for the follower level, meaning you could get then really powerful. For example, on my og safe file there is a follower of 21 level, who turns into a bomb demon. That think can fucking one shot a boss

Hey lemon, if you ever feel like it, or get a chance, I'd like to see a challenge run of a mario and Luigi game. Here's the catch: you can only damage and defeat enemies by hitting them with counter attacks while dodging. People have beaten a few without dodging, but I kinda want to see the other end of the spectrum. No pressure, just a potential idea should you want a break from dark souls and clearing out your backlog :)
Sins of the Flesh adds so much more than just decorations! You can get eggs from your followers, ‘befuddle’ them with drinks, partake in cannibalism, and other wholesome activities :)
FYI for anyone that plays this game: Ascension Ritual do change depending on if you pick Beliefs in Sacrifice or Afterlife. The latter, the one Lemon picked, make people gain devotion. ...Beliefs in Sacrifice just grinds the "Ascended" into meat and bones.
At 32:11, you can actually kill the enemy without reflecting their shot! The shield just reduces the damage down to a very small amount, but you do still do damage! (I only know this because I didn't realize that volleying was the mechanic and I stabbed one of them many, many times)

A bit late to mention this, but for future reference, the wooden training dummies in the dungeons actually just have a lot of health, and are not invincible. You can destroy them and they give you a bit of wood.

For future reference, Lemon, you can actually counter Shamura’s power by warping out. If you escape, you avoid killing your followers.
I don’t know if you can warp (on my recent save I wasn’t able to) but if you die, that return.
I think they patched that cause I couldn't do it anymore, you have to let them kill you now.

Hey lemon, if you ever feel like it, or get a chance, I'd like to see a challenge run of a mario and Luigi game.
Here's the catch: you can only damage and defeat enemies by hitting them with counter attacks while dodging.
People have beaten a few without dodging, but I kinda want to see the other end of the spectrum.
No pressure, just a potential idea should you want a break from dark souls and clearing out your backlog :)

Sins of the Flesh adds so much more than just decorations! You can get eggs from your followers, ‘befuddle’ them with drinks, partake in cannibalism, and other wholesome activities :)

FYI for anyone that plays this game:
Ascension Ritual do change depending on if you pick Beliefs in Sacrifice or Afterlife.
The latter, the one Lemon picked, make people gain devotion.
...Beliefs in Sacrifice just grinds the "Ascended" into meat and bones.
At 32:11, you can actually kill the enemy without reflecting their shot! The shield just reduces the damage down to a very small amount, but you do still do damage! (I only know this because I didn't realize that volleying was the mechanic and I stabbed one of them many, many times)
The problem being that his followers were not.
Gotta admit I was skeptical but ngl I enjoyed this run so much I might have to pick this title up.

A bit late to mention this, but for future reference, the wooden training dummies in the dungeons actually just have a lot of health, and are not invincible. You can destroy them and they give you a bit of wood.
