If you're trying to keep up with your elders dying, then the sacrifice ritual and ascend ritual are your friends. You're only using the ascend ritual. The sacrifice ritual is the second ritual you unlock through story progression. Also, the Natural Burial Doctrine is helpful in getting rid of your dead and production of fertilizer. (EDIT) the elders are not productive at all so it is better to get rid of them as soon as possible. Because of this I always take the Good Die Young and sacrifice, ascend, or feed the Elder a deadly dish as soon as I can. (if you feed everyone and then cook the preferred meal, you can tell one of your followers to eat said meal) The feasting ritual is 1000 times better than the fasting ritual because if you run out of food then you can feed your cultists with the feasting ritual at the cost of bones. If you play this game again, I would suggest that you focus on building lumber yards and stone yards while you still have the big trees and big rocks in your cult I would suggest that you slow down and read the descriptions (and instructions in the case of knucklebones) you will make fewer mistakes you will regret later on.
I found your videos recently and one of the reasons I love them is that there are subtitles. Hate to say it, but I recently got this game and I’m finding it hard to believe that this is a true 100 days run. I’ve just beat the second god, and I’m on day 36. I’m not even good at pvp. I’ve died more times now than he did in the entire movie. It’s not like I’m rushing the crusades, I keep dying. My cult is also more advanced than his is at the end of the video. Not to mention, the game has a built in day counter at the top right. Which his own counter is completely enveloping. I love skyes and will keep watching him, but between this and a couple other inconsistencies I’ve seen I’m kinda getting worn down
What’s really throwing me off is how he pushed it past 100 days tho. No reason to have done that if he was planning to cut his run short, he could’ve just done a full 100 days if that was the case

I’ve watched a lot of his hardcore videos and I’ve noticed that he sometimes cuts the video off right before something happens that might kill him and then comes back in with no explanation. Tried giving him benefit of the doubt but sounds like he’s yet another RUclipsr faking content

In day 24 the in game counter was at 13 51:36 (for reference) Day 50 is day 29 1:35:22” (Was able to dig this comment up cause I have emptied my spam folder in forever so🎉) That’s what we were talking about. I went and checked what they were talking about and it’s true. Sky went and faked the number of days he actually played the game. I was saying that I knew something wasn’t right because I was dying way more than Sky was showing yet was much more progressed in the storyline
You should totally do a new start. Once you get the hang of it and restart with the knowledge of how to reduce the grind later, it's so much more fun! And! If you want a challenge that will switch it up enough that it isn't too repetitive, replay in Penitence Mode. I think you can also skip past the tutorial to help speed it up a tad. It's honestly so much better the second time through! 😁
If I had a nickel for every time a youtuber made the "a shrimp fried this rice" joke while playing cult of the lamb, I would have 2 nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice. (Just so y'all know what I'm talking about, the second youtuber I'm referring to is LoneWolfie)
