- Today we’re making a Grilled Hatch Chile Relleno recipe that’s perfect for a summer barbecue!
Print the recipe: cookingsessions.com/grilled-h...
These grilled stuffed peppers are made with a mixture of cream cheese, pepper jack cheese and cheddar cheese. We’re also adding some diced green onion and cooked bacon as a garnish.
To make these cheese stuffed hatch peppers, you’ll need about six Hatch chiles.
What is a Hatch Green Chile? Hatch chiles have a short growing season - usually between the beginning of August through the end of September. They are grown in the Hatch Valley of New Mexico, with a heat that ranges from mild to medium.
If you can’t find New Mexico Hatch Chiles, you can use Poblano chiles for this recipe, or even bell peppers if you don’t like spicy food.
I hope you enjoy these Cream Cheese Stuffed Hatch Chiles!
If you have some chiles, left over, make a Hatch Chile Aioli by mixing together 1 cup mayonnaise, 1 teaspoon cumin, 5 cloves minced garlic, 2 teaspoons lime juice, and 2 roasted Hatch chiles in a food processor. Season to taste with salt and enjoy with fries, or even on nachos!

Oh man, these look absolutely amazing!
Thanks! They are so easy to make and really delicious! Hope you like it!
I just bought hatch chilies for the first time today. This recipe looks so yummy. I have a friend that loves Mexican food and I think I'll make these for him.
Hope you enjoyed it!
That looks delicious! I will make it this weekend! Thank you 😊

The legend lives
Haha, thanks!
Thabks for the upload Jason! Always happy to see it in my feed!
Thanks so much! Sure appreciate your kind words!
I was going through my subscriptions today and stumbled upon your channel. I haf forgotten all about it! I subscribed way back when you first released your spaghetti sauce video - I'm impressed you're still making videos here, 14 years later! These peppers look really good, I wish I could find them here in Europe.
Have a good one, Jason!
Thank you! I'm not sure why the subs don't really work anymore. Now you have to click the notification bell for people to really see your videos. And the popular format has changed to more TikTok style with no real instruction. It's really caused a hit to our video viewership, even though we were one of the original cooking channels. I hope you enjoy this recipe. It's one of our favorites!! Have a wonderful holiday!
Love it
You have a lot of great videos and recipes on here. You have been at it for a long time. Keep it going. 🙂
Thanks so much! Yes, we are one of the OGs, lol! Appreciate your support!

Although I Love chile relleno in many forms, your recipe is way too cholesterol and fat-ridden to be healthy ! Thx !
So delicious!
This looks delicious! I am so jealous. Hatch and Fresno chilis are ones I have never seen in my area. Mid-Atlantic US.
Thanks! Check with your grocers because they are in season now. You can make this with another pepper, as long as it's on the bigger side like a poblano. You can even use bell pepper!
Nice video
Thanks!
I don't think I've ever tried hatch chilis, curious how they compare in heat to jalapeños? They look great
Thanks! They are mild to medium. Pretty close to jalapeños but maybe a little less spicy.
Love the recipe, but you gotta include more cream cheese to make to work! Just a tini bit more then what you have in this video 🤙🏼
Yes, you can certainly play with the amounts of ingredients for this recipe. I think it was good as it was, but feel free to add more cream cheese!
