- Today I'm making my famous grilled sourdough breakfast sandwich recipe, and we're doing it outside on the #campchef flat top grill! I make my breakfast sandwiches with San Luis sourdough bread, thinly sliced American cheese, and plenty of hot sauce. The fillings change depending on what we have on hand. Sometimes we use bacon, vegan sausage patties, and even turkey.
In this video, we're making grilled cheese, tomato and egg breakfast sandwiches. The sourdough bread is buttered generously, and then packed with parmesan cheese to give it a nice crust on the grill.
For this grilled sourdough breakfast sandwich recipe, you'll need roughly 3 eggs, 2 slices of sourdough, 3 slices of heirloom tomato, and 4 slices of bacon. Hope you enjoy it!

Looks very tasty. I am wondering if basil might work well on it. Only thing I can think that I might swap out is the American cheese, maybe for mozzarella or provolone.
You can absolutely mix it up! I think the basil and mozzarella or provolone would be delicious!

That bacon doesn’t look done, it shouldn’t be flexible. Undercooked pork isn’t safe. To each their own I guess.
