Hi, glad you enjoyed the video! I love San Luis Sourdough Bread. It’s made with mostly simple ingredients and tastes delicious! Butter works too for toasting, I just like the little bit of tanginess from the mayo 😉
Can I use regular mayo for roasting my bread?
Yes, regular mayo like Best Foods or something similar will work great. The main difference in most plant based mayos is that they don’t contain eggs, so if you’re not avoiding eggs, regular Mayo works.

If you spread it on lightly - not too thick, use a medium-low flame and keep an eye on it, it should be fine. Also, use a pan you are familiar with, some metals are trickier. For example, I love cast iron but haven’t mastered making this sandwich in one yet, the bread always sticks.
