Pokémon Legends: Arceus is an action role-playing game developed by Game Freak for the Nintendo Switch and published by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company. It is part of the eighth generation of the Pokémon video game series and serves as a prequel to Pokémon Diamond and Pearl (2006), Pokémon Platinum (2008), and their remakes Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl (2021). The game was released on 28 January 2022. The game was announced as part of the Pokémon 25th Anniversary event alongside Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus is an action role-playing game that preserves the core gameplay of past entries in the main line series. The game is set in a bygone era of the Sinnoh region's history, when it was known as the Hisui region, long before the events of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl and their remakes take place. The Mythical Pokémon Arceus will play a major role in the story.
Players can capture wild Pokémon in the overworld without engaging in battle, though some wild Pokémon must still be battled before being caught. Players can initiate battles by releasing their captured Pokémon near a wild Pokémon. Poké Balls in this era are made of wood and puff steam when a Pokémon is caught. At the start of the game, three starter Pokémon options are available: Rowlet (the grass-type starter Pokémon from the Alola region), Cyndaquil (the fire-type starter Pokémon from the Johto region) and Oshawott (the water-type starter Pokémon from the Unova region). This makes Pokémon Legends: Arceus the first mainline game to feature starter Pokémon from different regions together.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus is being developed by Game Freak. It is the first known project in the action role-playing subgenre to be undertaken by the studio. It was first revealed in the Pokémon Presents on February 26, 2021 alongside Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl as part of the Pokémon 25th Anniversary celebration. According to the developer, it will serve as a "premake" to Diamond and Pearl. The game was released worldwide on 28 January 2022.

Catching my Rapidash was the biggest pain in the ass 4 of my Pokemon and like 10 pokeballs got demolished before I could get it
Yeah, you have these first encounters, you get all “I’m gettin the hell outta here bro!”. Then, later, you come back and catch that thing like it’s no big deal 😂
Yeah I’m doing a Perfect Dex Challenge for PLA I have to perfect every Dex entry possible in every area before moving on Im not even close to perfecting the first area but I’m pretty sure this is the hardest area due to how many Pokemon there are.

You can probably catch it still with some stealth tactics :3
At that point in the game no. There’s some Alpha pokemon even with their back turns, the game still only allows you to catch it by fighting
I could, but I have as much stealth as a jumbo jet taking off at 3am...
I stuck to only catching with backstrike almost religiously. So I can confirm that they can be caught that way. Not very easily, mind you. I am a very patient person when it comes to games. I think it becomes easier with higher ranks tho. Just stock up on alot of balls and expect to use running and hiding techniques. Tall grass can hide you for a few throws before the alphas notice you which you should run far enough for them to ignore you to try again. If there is no tall grass, still use crouch to silently creep up on them. Toss a ball and back away. Less likely to see you when you put some distance or duck behind a rock. And sometimes don't go straight back. When they break out, they will look in the direction they were hit. They might not notice you if you change spots. This is not even mentioning how easily you can be accidently spotted trying to sneak up to them in the first place. Those situations really put my patience to the test.

Pokemon Legends Arceus. Definitely different from the rest of the entries if you're bored of the same shit you see in other pokemon games. It's a bit more accesible too if you put in the work.

@@atomdevil5797 It has something called alpha pokemon which are vastkly larger than their normal counterparts. It has shiny, and the alpha pokemon can be shiny as wellp. As far as mega evolutions it doesn't have those, but it does have a handful of regional variant, with Hisuian Typhlosion being my favorite.

I ran into the same one and didn't realize that it was level 40. I think the devs put it there just to troll the players😂. A level 40 shouldn't be that early in the game ever.
Or maybe they put it there to keep players from wandering too far off in the beginning
@@Wats_Plays That wouldn't be so since the area is very accessible and the game will not let you progress farther into the map until you get enough pokedex data.
