Interesting watching someone play like this. I spent over 50 hours in the game just running around catching pokemon and having fun without focusing on the main story. I think I was into my 70th hour when I approached Palkia and Dialga. I was also star rank 9 haha. Was just such a fun game to get lost in
@@blebik_myarovii there's only 1 version of PLA so you only need the one game and you can catch all the pokemon in the game. It's actually part of the storyline
I was so surprised at how good this game was. The formula change was really pleasant. I'd like to see them continue this trend while making some improvements. Also love the video Andrew! GG on the shiny luxio my first one (aside from the free ponyta) was a Mothim
I kinda like this game. I really like the concept of that you really have to survive from the wild pokemon and not just any fantasy story that you send of a 10y old to take care of themselves and the pokemon they have caught. I am glad to see that there are many people like you andrew who like this game. Edit: I just randomly decided to rewatch this vedio an year later and holy smokes 276 likes!
I agree, its super refreshing to finally see that not all pokemon are friendly, the anime and the whole host of multi media out there for the franchise has made it clear more often then not for this to be the case, it just sucks that this will probably be the first and last time we see this concept adapted into the main gameplay since pokemon company and gamefreak always rush out the products before there ready, Arceus so far has been a paradox for Gamefreak since the game was set up for failure from the start, but its a very easy 7 out of 10, not great but a fun time if you love pokemon

Finally they gave Arceus justice by not letti g you catch a literal God, but it willingly gave you a piece of it's power, an avatar sort of thing. Nice.
This new concept of catching Pokemon by still being in the open world was a very good idea. I have played the game for only an hour and its really a great experience. Thanks for this good content because it was actually very fun to watch. Keep up the good work!
(I’m gonna say this before fully watching the video) I sure hope they don’t hate the new decidueye because I think it looks awesome and it’s my favourite of the 3. Kinda makes me sad that a lot of people hate the new Pokémon.
Game Freak basically packaged the engine for the next Pokemon games into a playable 50 hour demo. I imagine the next Pokemon games with this foundation will be out of this world. Let alone on new hardware. I'm excited, and love what they did with this game.
I really really hope this is the base for gen 9 games as well, as the game was fun, hell I spent 100 hours in a week.... But there is a severe lack of battles, the game only has a single proper trainer battle and its at the very end.

I miss all the old stuff ( more trainer battles, gym leaders, different towns, etc) So, if gen 9 looks like arceus gameplay wise, i probably say my goodbyes to the franchise. I liked the different approach of gen 7, so i'm not against changes, because it still felt like pokemon to me. Legends Arceus on the other hand doesn't pass the vibe check for me.

My first shiny was a burmy from a tree, I almost failed it too. I ran from if before I realized it was shiny, luckily I saved shortly before the encounter!
Without looking I went into it grabbing the water type as a starter, I usually do. That or fire. Anyway, he was a cute otter and now he’s a BADASS water/dark type Sumarott. He’s a beast I love him.
What's funny is most people actually pick to go with Irida. I chalk that up to her being a waifu and people wanting to fight Dialga last. Plus have it in the Origine Ball.
I absolutely love this game! I know I’m a little late to the party. I’m always literally one game behind, I JUST finished Sword lmao. But I’m in my 30’s with a 3 year old, a career, a marriage etc so I play where I can. I’ve been playing Pokémon since the very beginning it’s been a big part of my life. And this game is by far my most favorite. I needed a new formula change and I think it works amazingly. It’s not a perfect game by any means but I think it’s more a hardware issue than anything else. I love this gene and the ancient vibes, it’s so much fun. Awesome video was fun to watch and had some good tips.

The second it downloaded at midnight, I played the whole night until midnight again. I just completed the Pokedéx yesterday, and got to rank ten yesterday, I plan on catching Arceus on Saturday to mainly prep, and play it again on a new account
Ok as much as this game has TONS of problems and issues, they fall in comparison to the huge breath of fresh air we finally got a wiff of with this game, Legends Arceus is up there with one of my favorite pokemon games out there for the sheer freedom of finally feeling like your the trainer, not only that this game is super flexible with mechanics and even fixes issues that plauged the past games, its only a shame it never got the time to cook properly before it was ready since if this game got the time it needed it would've been so mucg more polished and probably would've had more content then what we inevitably got, but in all fairness for what Gamefreak did it is a very job well done for the most part

I too didnt know that you could throw out pokemon during those balm bosses, but even when I figured it out (like at electric ball boy I think was when I finally figured it out), I never battled. I played mostly passive the entire way, didn't battle once willingly until now when I'm paying attention to my pokedex task things, but blew through the entire main quest and finished the game without battling if I could help it.
