In Pokemon Legends Arceus, the villagers in Jubilife City will request for you to permanently give them a Pokemon. If you give them a shiny Pokemon, it will also be shiny in the overworld. I decided to give every NPC in Pokemon Legends Arceus a shiny Pokemon, and see just how hard it is to complete them all. Was so disappointed that the shiny sound wasn't in Scarlet & Violet, it's such a simple thing.

@@exLightningg We know,, everyone says it - but for me , it's a totally Natural experience what Scarlet & Violet did. I know the near total majority wants the jingle but I just find it daft and combined with Outbreak exploits; people have made the Shinies almost as common as the ,, commons! It's simply just _so_ much tougher, and so rewarding to find one in Scarlet/Violet - I love the fact you actually have to make an effort and _look._

I agree! I had NO idea what mass outbreaks did and how they helped shiny hunting but he did a FANTASTIC explanation!
Something crazy that won't get appreciated enough is the fact that mothim is one of the hardest shinies to get in the game. It only spawns in the wild with no possibility for outbreaks or any other forced spawn. It took ages to get one for my shiny living dex

Man this video just reminds me how good we had it with Legends Arceus shiny hunting. Doing the same in Scarlet and Violet is miserable without sound or visual effects 😢
like 5 idiots complained about the sound, so nintendo removed it, pissing off millions in the process.
i really hate the whole "corporations always cave to a few complaints, but ignore the masses" trend these days.
@@DarthZ01nah don't worry they'll add it back in the DLC probably, you'll just have to pay $30 for an audio indicator for shiny Pokemon (very fair)

@@DarthZ01there's no real proof that's what happened, it's far more likely that it's one of those things that only made it into legends arceus because the two games were developed at around the same time, and so it might come back later
I can relate so hard to this video. I have so many shiny geodudes in this game
If I sit down too quickly, shiny geodudes fall out of my pockets and go down behind the sofa cushions.
I miss the pure joy from flying around with Hisuian Braviery and hearing that ✨️chime✨️ PLA is such a good game
what's disappointing is that not all sidequests will accept alpha pokemon

As someone who just did about 50 permutations to get a shiny alpha Spiritomb, I feel the struggle for that buizel.
Im trying the same - where do you save and reset? Infront of the outbreak or in the town?
@@m3x_repelSorry for the late reply. I actually save the second I enter the area so I can check all outbreaks for shinies, then pick and choose which ones to actually hunt before the storm ends. I got incredibly lucky to get alpha Spiritomb and did end up getting the shiny at 97 permutations, plus a random shiny budew from another outbreak on the map.

I recently shiny hunted Petilil and I can tell you that if you catch or battle all the Petilil in an area and go back to camp to sleep they will respawn. This allows you to avoid leaving and loading the area over and over
I'd love to see you complete the rest of the PLA Pokedex with Shiny pokemon. It's insanely difficult, but it's something you'd probably enjoy
I really want to see a living shiny dex on your perfect savefile! Seeing that shiny pokeball with a shiny pokemon on it for every single pokemon would be such a fun thing to watch!
Remember, it doesn’t have to be a new file. Just like this challenge, you can continue with your perfect file (and also keep the pokemon lol)
Enamorus is still Shiny Locked so ATM it's not possible
Maybe it'll be possible in Indigo Disk since it'll have a Legendary hunt
@@anonanonymous9670 well, obviously not the ones that are shiny locked haha. Nobody has found a way to shiny hunt legendaries in LA right? Well the thing is, he can trade over the locked ones from other games, like shiny arceus from brilliant diamond.
@@UntroubledPlacidYes, you can trade over shiny legendaries. However, they were talking about Enamorus, which is not available to shiny hunt in any other game (or in PLA, obviously). If they add a way to hunt it in S/V or Go, or an event shiny, then you can have the shiny dex entry for every Pokémon.
@@crayfishfuture well, having 241 pokemon shiny out of 242 is still something to be proud or content about. If there is going to be a time it’s able shiny hunted, he can just add it later imo.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, and I could just be misremembering because my memory is super bad, but I think you missed an NPC. If I remember correctly there's an NPC in the Alabaster Icelands who asks you for a fire type pokemon to help him set up a camp. But either way this was a really fun video and it's really cool to see someone do a challenge like this! Looking forward to seeing more!

Shiny Hunting started to go downhill during Gen 5 since that's when they made the odds 1/1000 with the Shiny Charm
I started this sidequest for myself over half a year ago! It's really cool to see that you had the same idea!

I added this video to my “watch later” when it came out and just finally watched. I knew about the special alpha dialogue and did that on my original play through. Finding out there’s no shiny dialogue was disappointing… but I really enjoyed this video. You’re entertaining and make information dumps entertaining as well. Hard subscribe!

I think my favorite find was either my shiny alpha gliscor or my shiny alpha heracross. They were both the "placed alphas" that just happened to be shiny when I was passing by them.

With the Farm side missions i had chosen the Sinnoh starters and in my head thats why they where chosen as the Sinnoh starter trio as the helped cultivate the region
I got this video recommended to me the day it was uploaded, and because of it I deleted my Legend Arceus save, completed the main story ignoring the request and I’m currently farming the shiny charm to do the same thing! I’m having a blast so thank you (but I’m definitely afraid of Buizel because it sounds hard)

5:07 oh man this brings me back! a silcoon was my first ever shiny pokémon! i have a bad habit of deleting save files before transferring shiny pokémon out of it, but i still have that first ever one! i only had a few pokéballs and i was SO terrified i wouldn't be able to catch it.. just such a nice memory :3

I started playing this game recently. I bought it in the first week and didn’t like it, but coming back nearly 2 years later made me appreciate it.
Man that shiny Abra loss hurt my soul. My first shiny in Legends was a shiny Abra, got it within the first 2 days of the game being out, and I was very fortunate that I spotted it from a distance. I actually wasn't even sure it was shiny as I didn't get the sparkles to trigger, but I could see it was different to the one it sat next too. Managed to catch it and I was pleased as punch 😄.
I started a new legends file, and this may be the first of your challenges I wanna attempt myself (yes even buizel) and I guess I also technically will be doing your 100% pokedex challenge, but replaying it, it's more fun than tedious (so far). And if not 100%, it'll be close to boost my odds

I love shiny alpha hunting, I have almost 2 full boxes now. I had no idea you could hunt massive mass outbreaks like that, I'm definitely going to try it.
My favorite moment of LoA was hunting for about 4 hours and got a mega shiny Gligar. Shiny Gliscor is one of my all time favorites and was super happy to have him on my team the rest of my time in that game. he's still on my team too XD.
I did however come across a Shiny Alpha Probopass and a Shiny Nosepass... 3 times before the Gligar, it was a pain to deal with lol.

This video perfectly encapsulates why shiny hunters are the “Greed” of the Pokémon world- speaking in terms of the seven deadly sins. He didn’t need the fourth 1/128 shiny graveler, and yet went out of his way for it anyway.
I randomly stumbled on a shiny Geodude in a recent replay of FRLG, then decided to go to the trouble of moving it all the way up to Home.
Yes: all the way up, from Gen III to Gen IX. I still own all of the necessary hardware.

ended up naming him cranberry :) caught thanks to the power of soft resets, a paras, and a drifblim (caught by surprise + stun spore + hex was a godsend of a combination)
