It's weird when some salty player says "No skill all luck" because there's a lot of luck involved with Pokemon. Chances of moves missing, chances of moves' second affects activating, etc
Tbf, an opponent that doesn't realize the serene grace rainbow combo would look at this as an annoying and significant 10% chance going off, even with the effects, the odds weren't in Lily's favor to activate the omni boost. A lot of people just hate luck based strategies since it often feels like hacks are at play 🤔
@@homerman76 I mean, if you want to play a game with no random chance involved, you should try, idk, chess. Many videogames have luck based mechanics, and Pokemon even more than average. You can miss a move, you can get a crit, how long your pokemon sleeps or how often it can't move from paralysis is determined by chance, there are chance-based secondary effects of moves, there are items like Quick Claw which randomly lets you move first sometimes, etc. Just yesterday I was playing Showdown with a Rest + Sleep Talk Malamar. The enemy was spamming Sleep Powder, so I switched in my Malamar and had it use Sleep Talk. Now, in case you didn't know, Sleep Talk selects a random move for your pokemon to use while it's asleep. And I rolled Rest twice. Meaning it had no effect. Opponent hit a crit, and Malamar fainted, and they got away with their annoying Sleep Powder strategy. That's just how it goes sometimes, when you get really unlucky in Pokemon.

Having defense boosts and a speed boost also makes Ancient Power more worth it. Jiraci increases it to 20% meaning anyone you outspeed in the base you have a 20% chance on the first hit and 36% chance to take reduced damage on the second hit possibly even half damage at 4% chance. Adding the rainbow takes another turn but slightly raises the power to use an alternative move 2x and boosting move but also increases the longevity of the Pokemon. If you can keep Jiraci alive and get the rainbow up then 9/10 it is better to use this. Its not as popular a strategy because all the prerequisites that have to fall in place. It reduces the number of options each turn for win conditions which means in times where it works, it is a better strategy without luck, but if put in a bad situation is not a pliable strategy.

Enemy crit you not once but twice. In a row.
They entire team is based around luck ⚰️
When u realized the first guys rayquaza had v-create. That guy was hacking.
Firstly, in the words of Wolfe Glick, "Luck is a skill."
Secondly, why the hell were they being so homophobic?
Oh good lord the ableism too
@@paulnewton2284 just classic Gamers(tm)
💀 bro I can't go on one video without hearing the word "homophobic" like bro someone even called me that when I said "I'm a guy"
Oh I lost it! 😂😂 Good one! He walked right into it! TOGE-KISS DEEZ NUTZ 😂 GOT EM!
“Togekiss is trash”
N00b
Also your teams arent autistic, thats just me :)
I wonder how many champions actually have autism. There very well may be a few very effective players with it.
That Togekiss deez nuts line earned a like and sub xD
While I don’t have any competitive Pokémon battling knowledge, at 2:00 any reason they didn’t both attack the booster Necormaza? Did they think max phantasm would end it or just wanted to finished the cat?
He probably didn't have a good move, with flying/dragon both being resisted. I doubt it would've killed at +1Def and double health from DMax on a resist.
I mean he did have V-Create, but he probably wanted to save his Rayquaza to take care of the rest of the game, being his most likely sweeper there, with V-Create crippling the user basically
The will slap had me dying that's do good
Arcx has too much of a *skill issue ngl*
Clicked on video bc I had no idea what Rainbow terrain was. This was fun as heck, thank
Pokemon players: complains about legend spammers
Also pokemon players: plays a tier where the point is that they're allowed to legend spam
Like if you hate leg spammers just don't play ag or ubers
First person with a brain in the entire comment section
I just don't know the different tiers is Ubers just Pokemon in the teir that can be used and if so it's not the type of all be all for it right?
Exactly, though the issue is with ostensibly bad players insulting any strategy at all.
i love these kinds of video's where a kid that knows nothing about competitive pokemon gets destroyed by an actual pro, especially when the kid thinks said pro is called a hacker when its intentional.
Your channel is amazing.
Guzzlord being in the cute pokemon team suprised me and then i died
Having looked into Rainbow befor I'm afraid to inform you it dosen't stack with Serene Grace so Jirachi still only gets a 20% Ancient Power, If that wasn't the case we could guarantee flinches with Serene Grace
it does stack
but rainbow doesn't affect flinches, so you're right that 100% flinch chance isn't possible
Ooh, can you do this with serene grace blizzard (maybe with hail) and just freeze their whole team?
@@connorcadaver1219 I was running Serene Grace Coil Blizzard/Rock Slide Dunsparce in Double under Trick Room with Oranguru Instruct, I'd imagine it's harder to set everything up with Rainbow but it offers the highest possible Freeze chance, Being 87% to get at minimum one freeze
the brainrot edits are really good. good to know I'm old enough to know all the references
First guy calling the rainbow gay isn't wrong
4:35
You know it's bad when even your opponent is like "nah no way bruh."
Dude doesn't know how to count.
I'm loving your editing. Making me want to start Pokémon battling too, but I'm like 8 generations behind at this point lol
"No skill, just luck"
My brother in Christ he used a strategy and it paid off, you use a big damage move and get butt hurt when the opponent doesn't die in one hit.
Rainbow terrain:
Huh, never seen that, sounds pretty good.
Ancient Power Jirachi:
OH. OH NO.
Baton Pass:
*OH ITS FIIIIILTHY*
