  • What if getting hit by a crit was a good thing in Pokémon? Well, I made a team that does just that! By intentionally using Meowscarada to guarantee a critical hit onto your own Pokémon, you can turn it into a powerhouse that can potentially win a competitive VGC match in just two turns!

    Very cool way of showing Ally Switch on Meowscarada. People keep using this mon offensively but it has many other tricks to offer, such as the mentioned Ally Switch. Skill Swap, Toxic Spikes, Trick and even Chilling Water are some of the surprise factors it could utilize.
    Just a note here: Ally Switch has been NERFED in that it may fail when used twice in a row, just like Protect - this was not the case in previous generations but it is now, so keep that in mind.

    As a person that has used anger point for years, Tauros blaze breed is so much better since it resists the flower trick. I like the Salac berry idea of course but it helps more to use a different form of speed control such as Murkrow in the back, so you can give a different item like goggles, because spore and rage powder suck

    • @TriStain69
      @TriStain69 4 месяца назад

      As someone who's recently tried that, I can report that it can be a little risky, since a decent amount of Pokemon can still outspeed Tauros and take it out turn 1 before it can even get a chance to attack. Tailwind is great, but with this setup you'd kind of need to do a lot of switching around to have Tailwind up for when Tauros takes the Flower Trick. Plus if the enemy team sets up a Tailwind too that just negates that speed boost completely. I think the benefit of the Salac Berry strat is that it grants the immediate speed boost on turn 1

A better item too would be covert cloak and using froslass (can't flying terra on that one) so turn 1 you have full immunity to fake out immediately. Froslass also has helping hand, which is just ridiculous. Terrastalization also means you can max the attack/spA of your critter so it's still useful when anger point shenanigans can't be used. Fire tauros and primeape are really good alternatives, with primeape having eviolite to take hits rage fist starting at 100 base and drain punch to refill HP like crazy as well as encore to deal with set up or support mons, and tauros has rock slide and earthquake for the max spread damage, and a crazy good physical fire move that breaks screens and hits grass mons and terras

    You can still prankster dark types on same team. That's a pretty common thing.
    Thundurus would scary face incin so you could flare blitz a caly-i for example.

    Is there also a possibility to do something against Flutter Mane or Iron Bundle with the team? Rabigator is unfortunately slower at the beginning and after the +1 boost it is only faster if the opposite side no energy capsule etc. nutrzt.

    I’m 2:33 in and wondering; what’s your dragonite answer? Immune to quake with e speed. Not to mention t-normal dnite is relatively common and there’s a very good chance you encounter one. Not to mention, flying types in general seem to hard counter. You can’t quake or else the flying type hits you, and you can’t hit the flying type with a single target attack or else it’s partner hits you.

    My self harm master ball team has been U turn iron bundle, armarouge, indeedee, iron valiant, scizor, and then iron hands but it's hardly ever brought. If no dark types, Turn 1 tera psychic armarouge, U turn into it with bundle, weak armor and weakness policy goes off, select indeedee with the U turn, turn 1 a BIG expanding force comes out at 279 speed, then indeedee with helping hand can let armarouge power through almost anything. Helping hand expanding force can KO some steel types and psychic types through light screen
