Everyone says that Tinkaton should have gotten Huge Power, but she reminds me more of another Pokemon with a gimmicky attack stat- Marowak! It has similar attack- less actually- I'm really surprised there wasn't some sort of "Steel Hammer" item ala Thick Club. Gigaton Hammer is a hilarious move, but Tinkaton could be super fun with more flexibility.
I always thought that Gigaton Hammer should be Super-Effective against Steel types, like how Freeze-Dry works against Water types. That'd give it a niche, tie into it's Pokedex entries and lore, and make it so that the 85-ish Attack stat doesn't feel too terrible. Because right now, unless you're Tera-Type Electric, Corviknights ingame laugh at Tinkatons.
Idk bout that. My Corviknight would body that Tinkaton. BODY SLAM! Pressing’ up on that Tinkaton. Plot Twist. Tinkaton gets the metal from Corviknight because it’s a gift from Corviknight. Tinkaton really throws rocks to get Corviknight’s attention. If he’s on the ground maybe it can finally begin a relationship between the two. Tinkaton wants “metal” as a form of endearment from Corviknight. But Corviknight isn’t ready to commit 😂 until he is “grounded” that’s why she throws rocks. She’s not trying to steal his metal but his heart ❤️ The whole “prey and predator” thing is really just them having an awkward relationship. He’s a free flying spirit. She’s wants commitment. She throws rocks and he gives metal. It’s beautiful truly 🥺
If you are gonna take it seriously, I’d change the Tera type to Dark on Medicean instead of Normal, the main Taunt users atm are Prankster users so Dark still gives you resistance to Ghost nukes and stops you from becoming useless
Good suggestion, though I have yet to terastallize Medicham since no one expects the support set. Though if this video gets enough traction they might!

It doesn’t actually double the base stat. It doubles the otherwise final stat. Meaning, it doubles the attack after a nature bonus (if the nature increases the attack stat), any attack EVs, any stat increases (like if a Pokémon with huge power used swords dance, the swords dance would effectively be doubled) and the list goes on. It is terrifying.
Yeah his base attack would be north of 400s, with pure / huge power. For Example, Azumarill has a base 50 attack stat, but with huge power his base attack stat is actually 150, not 100.
Just watched this video and it made me realize, the Tinkaton/Medicham combo can be so scary because you can flip roles for the both of them. Tinkaton can be the attacker while Medicham is the support, or you run Tinkaton as support with t wave, fake out, helping hand, etc and Medicham as an offensive pokemon. This can force some mind games with opponents as they have to quickly figure out which set they're against.
Reminds me! Apparently Mold Breaker allows status moves to be used on Gholdengo. Skill Swapping mold breaker onto a good support mon might be a good idea 💡
I think it's great that Medicham gets Skill swap now! To be able to give Pure Power to allied physical attackers as well as providing its other support utility is huge! I'll have to experiment with that. Of course giving TInkaton its much needed attack power was a joy to behold! XD
Just saw a great strat in showdown. beatup maushold into a terra ghost dudunsparce. weakness policy, coil, rattled speed boosts. Then baton pass into any sweeper, he used ceruledge
Tinkaton's hammer is bigger than its body and it blocks half of it from view most of the time in battle if you're using it. It's a little nuts. It's like the monster is more its weapon than the creature.

Here's a propositional stat spread that might make a little more sense (and hopefully wouldn't make it too broken after factoring in Gigaton Hammer. HP:85 ATK: 135 DEF: 77 SPA: 64 SPD: 75 SPE: 70 It would have the same BST (506) and hopefully wouldn't be too powerful as its lower special bulk and speed should (theoretically) keep it somewhat in check.
Giga hammer is flat out a solar beam/hyper beam with basically no down side and with good typing means it's flat out really good. Mix in Metal claw you can one shot easily as hell when not lacking attacks.

How crazy! I just finished climbing to masterball with a support medicham. Good to see someone else saw his potential as a support. Medicham also has access to quick guard and fake out as well for use alongside other non-skillswap focused teams.

I love the amount of strategy in these battles. I want to get into competitive Pokémon but I don't know if I have the patience for all the breeding and stuff.

A metal coat I found was way more useful as any damage boost u put on tink after huge power is also boosted decently. Add a steel terra and u can possibly get away without huge power as long as they aren't resisted hits, if they are resisted then all u need is the huge power and possibly helping hand.
I do not understand why that first opponent saw Tinkaton OHKOing multiple members of his team and didn't think to use the previously shown Will-o-Wisp to nerf the Tinkaton's power
Been having fun with skill swap Medicham in other teams. Gyrados and meowskarata are excellent partners. And medicham can pose a threat itself. I think thins is the team I’m building now. Thank you for this.
Hey, so I applied your Concept to a Bulky Tyranitar. In the first move my opponent switched out for pelliper to change the weather to rain. I then used skill swap on tyranitar thus giving it pure power and then bring sandstorm back thanks to medicham and when tyranitat used rock slide I meand he HIT THEM SO HARD!! OHKO!! During my first battle with this team, turn two I skilled swapped again but on the opposing bronzong, and their Tera ground iron hands killed it while doing no damage to me.
I was thinking, how better tinkaton would be if it's attack stat was like 60 but it hade huge power/ pure power. Same bst but like this: 85/50/112/50/115/94. Basically put 45 points from each of the offensive stats into the defensive stats. With pure power/ huge power tinkaton with 50 base attack and an adamant nature + 31 IV and 252 EV's in attack reaches an effective attack stat of 436. Which is almost equivalent to having 150 base attack. Or perhaps it could have stayed with mold breaker but had more bst and looked like this 85/105/97/50/105/94. Added +30 bst and put it in attack. so it's 536 total. Also moved 20 points from SPAtk and put it in defense.

If Pokemon were still doing Megas, here's my concept for Tinkaton HP: 85 Attack: 125 Def: 117 SpA: 40 SpD: 135 Speed: 104 Ability: Steelworker The gist is that now she's incorporated bits of steel type megas into her weapon and crafted armor for herself to up her defenses at the cost of impeding special attack. Compared to Mega Mawile, she's weaker when not clicking Gigaton Hammer, but overall sturdier with with a speed stat that snipes Garchomp.

I like Tinkaton. Im using one in my playthrough. Its very good. exept for the time it whacked my kneecaps with its hammer.

tested out your team since i absolutely love tinkaton! its very fun but suggestion to make it even more disgusting swap out toadscrul for oranguru with instruct it allows Tink to swing twice!

If Pokemon were still doing Megas, here's my concept for Tinkaton
HP: 85
Attack: 125
Def: 117
SpA: 40
SpD: 135
Speed: 104
Ability: Steelworker
The gist is that now she's incorporated bits of steel type megas into her weapon and crafted armor for herself to up her defenses at the cost of impeding special attack. Compared to Mega Mawile, she's weaker when not clicking Gigaton Hammer, but overall sturdier with with a speed stat that snipes Garchomp.
I like it a lot! Steelworker seems like an ability she should have had...
