      Hey Teddy, great video! I was wondering if you had any advice on where a new watch collector could look for used watches. They're a good way for me to get a hold of more watches than usual without having to worry too much about depreciation if it doesn't end up being a good fit for me. Are jewelers still good options for the used market? Ebay? Other sites? Thanks for your time.

    Baltic GMT - “ i’m actually working on a review of this watch right now because I thought it was really cool”
    It’s weird how all watch reviewers organically and naturally review the same exact microbrand watches at the same time. Adrian did this watch yesterday because he said they lent it to him, and I’m inclined to believe they lent you one as well. So when you say you wanna review it because it’s cool and fits a need in the watch marketplace, that’s pretty disingenuous. Just be straight up and tell us you’re shilling it. You did the same thing with Formex.

Yes, one's a master chronometer with COSC and METAS certification but if you didn't care about that stuff (or the branding), then the Formex is a very attractive alternative.

      No doubt lug to lug is a vital factor in how a watch wears. Nevertheless, very few people with wrists smaller than 6.5 inches would wear a watch with a case size of 44mm+ regardless of lug to lug. In any case (no pun intended), Teddy could use discretion when choosing which collection to place those borderline watches into.

    For me, Casio G-Shock GW-M5610U-1ER, Grand Seiko sbgv007, Tudor Blackbay 58 in blue... I know, 2 quartz in a 3 collection, but it makes sense to me.. G-Shock 5610 is the "end of the world watch" solar powered, atomic watch precise, shock resistant, waterproof... Grand Seiko is the dark horse here, heritage gs44 case at its slimmest with the 9f quartz hi precision movement, handfinished zaratsu polishing, deep black dial with those light shaping faceted applied indices and dauphine hands, strap monster capabilities... And the bb58, vintage submariner looks, contemporary movement specs and build quality, and flies under the radar because it doesn't have a crown on the dial.

It’s irrelevant and contrary to the purpose of your review. If you are creating a list of your watch collection or the watches that you love and adore then let it rip, other than that it gets annoying.. You lay out 7 personas and not one includes the “watches you love or adore”. We can infer that if it’s on the list you like it, own it or would buy it. Just give us your wonderful professional opinion on the watch, features, wearability etc.... I know it’s easy to mention what you love because it’s intuitive to all of us, just saying.

    A dress and an everyday watch is perfect, I’d say a Longines conquest heritage for 1K and a tudor for 4k

    Don't really resonate with these very much. My picks would be (mix and match as you wish):
    Everyday/dress: Stowa marine classic, Grand Seiko sbgw231g, Oris big crown pointer date, Seiko sacm150, Frederique Constant 710MC4H6, Hamilton jazzmaster H32505741
    Field/beater: Any gshock, Any sinn, Stowa flieger classic, Marathon Pilot's navigator
    Diver: Tudor black bay, Seiko tuna or 62mas, Yema superman, Baltic Aquascaphe

    Not a hate comment. Not talking shit. Huge fan of Teddy and have been for over 2 years now.

    Some nice combos for sure, but most (until you got into the dive category) are just too big for my 6.5-inch wrist, or at least how I like a watch to look and feel. Would be wonderful for you to do something similar for smaller wrists (and larger wrists, etc), with brands like Nomos doing much more for me than ones like FC, that (as nice as their designs and executions are) are simply too big for my tastes (must be the Citizen influence). Still, great choices for larger fellas, some I only wish I could pull off. Thanks for the great content.

      @larsstougaard7097 3 года назад

      Love the Baltic design too, but Bark & Jack just reviewed the GMT and said it felt kind of small in 39mm and seemed tall plus the domed sapphire was too domed or gave a distorted view of the dial. Cool watch but not for everybody I guess.

    • @BALTICWatches
      @BALTICWatches 3 года назад

      @@larsstougaard7097 It wears almost like a submariner in terms of size. For the the domed sapphire crystal i would say it's more colors and tastes. 😉It implies few distortions like old glass, but it's much more "playable" than a flat glass in that sens. We won't go for any watches with flat glass at the moment. We think that it has less charm.

    Your reviews tend to favor 40mm watches or smaller. I think most people with 7 inch or larger wrist prefer 42m and above. Can you do a video on wrist sizing for 6, 7, and 8 inch wrists.

    3 watch collection: vintage Rolex date just 1601, Baltic diver or seiko diver depending on taste, vintage omega seamaster. More bang for your buck in vintage than any of the brands today. I’d steer clear of the Christopher Wards... maybe look at something from Seiko - who are absolutely killing it

    If I'm going Grand Seiko one watch collection at $5K, it's definitely going to be the SBGM211. Classic creme colored dial, can be dressed up or dressed down and touch of color with the blue handed GMT function? That would be the one.
