Great Idea eh?! We developed the plate system to discourage theft. If a thief really wants your ride and has the time to spend tearing into your car nothing will stop them. Its meant to slow them down so they can't just jump in, pull the neutral release and roll your ride onto a trailer! We are working on an OBD II port locking cover, so they can't just program a key. We want people who spend their hard earned money on a nice whip to have a chance against thieves!

i think the solution is really to super glue the rubber cover down instead. that makes the security actually having to remove the dash.

Brother unfortunately as easy as it is for you or anyone else to do this it can be undone twice as fast by someone who steals cars for a living. The only true way to prevent your car from being stolen is to install a hidden kill switch by a professional installer, bit even then I have seen shops actually be corrupt so I am very untrusting of people. Lol
