If you go with the Carlock, you need to get the OBD power cable they sell too so you can relocate/hide the device. Simply tap into a constant power source and it will work fine. I recommend two of them for redundancy. Please don't hide it close to the actual OBDII it'll be found easily.

Carlock seems to make no sense. regardless of wired or directly plugged, thieves know their stuff and will simply remove or dump it. Did I miss something?

I bought the CarLock, the sensors and the Bluetooth tag. Waste of money it does not work in Australia - stuck with a worthless CarLock.

I was thinking the same! If I were a thief, I would know where the Carlock is located and unplug it. It takes a second to do it. With an airtag a thief would not know where to find it
But the car lock since alert in your phone from someone stealing your vehicle, or if they unplug it.

Fo yall think its worth putting a sticker that car is monitored frequently by gps and phone access. Do you think criminals will move on if its a Rav4 Prime? Also have a cat shield on.

Don't use the extender, get a OBD splitter, and the device will be hidden somewhere and the OBD port remain the same for future diagnostics

I’m on a watchlist therefore law enforcement,can hack anything WiFi or Bluetooth or any connectivity with my device therefore AirTags are useless. Car lock is somewhat useless unless they can stop the notifications from coming into my phone in real time which I don’t doubt.

True, but it shouldn't be all that you have for security. It can also be hidden in the car, engine bay, under seat, carpet etc..

Are you saying a car thief won't think to look at the OBD port? 😂😂😂😂😂 And how is a locator a theft deterrent? Your car still gets stolen.
Able to be recovered and it mKes theives think if its worth being tracked right away
and air tag is Apple only... useless for the Android users... who represent 75% of cell phone operating systems... Good review though useless for people equipped with a brain or an android phone. Cheers
