It is completely possible to do this with a regular jack and stands. Only differences are, you have to put the back of the car up first every time. On these particular cars, once the car is back down on the ground each individual tire should be jacked up to get the tires to sit back on the ground properly, there is about 3 inches movement to the camber because of the independent suspension droop. I have had many people tell me I'm crazy until they watched me do it, it appears to be more prominent in the rear.

Hi. The pinch weld cut out is 2" on my Scat Pack and the ZL1 website is calling for 3" for the Challenger. Looks like your's are 3". I ordered the 3" but went with the Byenins Slotted Mag Pad as the ZL1 when not offered on Prime anymore. I hope they work. I have not changed my own oil in years but the dealership put the wrong oil in last time and I no longer trust them. Wish me luck.. l did my oil change yesterday and went great. Nothing leaking and good oil pressure. I have not changed oil in 40 years. My mag pads did not make it on time so used Rhino Ramps with 2 of 2x6 pieces of wood to clear the spoiler.

    • @WorkPlayDrive

?have you noticed over repeat jacking that the outer sheet of the pinch weld (two pieces of metal) gets slightly deformed outward; don't get me wrong the whole thing isn't bent and I've always been using the ZL1 temporary pinch weld adapters
?is your front Exhaust Pipe/Converter (Part 68474162AD) in this schematic, your lowest ground-clearance part? mine are ~4-4.5 inches off the ground

      Work Play Drive Hi
I really love a what you are doing on your channel.
I myself bought a 2015 Challenger SXT V8(Seriously no joke. My vin number proves it. It a special unicorn). I love the mods you are doing to your cars but sadly can do most of them myself due to the regulations in Germany.
The previous owner mounted a Cervin's Shaker hood like the one on your old scat pack.
Is it supposed to drain water of the shaker over the front of the engine block and fan? Or is something missing. I'm a bit concerned about corrosion.

Work Play Drive it a weird solution for drainage. Even the factory shaker does that...
It has the engine of the R/T and all the disadvantages of the SXT. It didn't even have a spoiler from the factory which means no backup camera(and the shitty 5.4" in display). BUT it has a weird Leather interior that wasn't available for that car and the door panels have some weird cloth.
It must have been a special factory order since the model numbers above and below are just normal R/Ts.

You guys need to be using the longer oil filterers. I use Mobil 1 p#M1301.. It worked on the other hemis. Cross reference the part # and use amsoil or RP if you really have to have the "best filter... It gives you over a half qt more capacity, and frees up the parasitic oil pump power loss a little.

They are a single pad, I know they're a bit costly but they are not made of cheap pot metal like some of the $12 I've picked up. I learned early on having a cheap pot metal jack pad side wall snap off is no fun.

I really don’t like this video…. I just came to watch how to properly jack up my 2020 R/T to mount a STO N SHO and I ended up ordering jack stands, a jack, a pin removal tool, a Fumoto drain valve and an oil filter for my upcoming oil change… This is getting out of hand… 🤦🏼‍♂️
But seriously, what a great series of videos! 👍🏼 Very informative, well explained and geared towards actual maintenance instead of alpha male boasting behavior. Yes, we have masculine cars, I don’t need to be remembered of that, I need to know how to properly and carefully maintain them and you fill that slot perfectly! Keep up the good work and keep your son interested in all things technical!

You do not need to fill up the oil filter with oil before placing it in because some oil filters screw in from the side, so how are you going to fill those up? you can’t it will all drain out and once you start the car up that oil filter gets filled up within 2 seconds
