Thanks for going in depth. I took all the plastic shit off so oil changes are actually pretty easy for me. I was worried about the cooler but it's actually really easy, thanks for the tip about using the wrench to hold that little assembly when putting the drain bolt back in.
You're a total life saver. I was tired of losing my Cat for a entire day at a dealership for a 30 min job. I appreciate you making this video. I would've never thought about the oil cooler line. 👍👍
Hey, Can you do a Video and show all the jacking points to jack up the vehicle? And if this applies to challenger as well. Would like to know, how you can jack up whole front end and put up jack stands. OR jack up one side at a time as well. Much appreciated!!
Doesn't the Oil go right back into the filter when you fill it back up just like when you poured a half quart of oil to flush out any dirty oil? Why the need to pour oil in the filter?
On initial startup after on oil change - the correct procedure is to hold the gas pedal to the ground to prevent the engine from firing but it will crank. You then wait until you get good oil pressure and then repeat without the pedal to the floor and it will start.
Thanks man, great and thorough video. I think it’s so asinine that they use plastic clips to put parts of their shit together. I’ve taken Shields like this off of cars that are only two and three years old and screws strip, plastic clips break, and threaded holes need repair. I don’t see any other reason then they want you to take it to the dealer to get this changed, to put these underbelly panels on. And really, Mopar is going to tell me that I need to put a plastic cover on in a prescribed sequence. Omg.
Great video, when you reset the oil life cant you just hold ok to reset like it said on the screen, or do you need to do the gas peddle like you did, does it make a difference, thanks.
Hi, thanks for the helpful video. I'm about to do my first HC oil change soon. Can you tell me what is the product code for the Mishimoto magnetic drain plug that fits the HC oil pan?
Great video. In the near future, I will be doing a 500 mile oil change on my 2018 HC WB. The video was very informative and will be helpful for me. Just a quick question. I noticed the oil quart containers were both grey and black in color. Any reason?
What size wrench is needed to hold the square bolt on the drain cooler line? You used a crescent wrench for it, just want to know the actual size. I need to go get a set.
curious about your part # for oil filter. Is your car a 2017? That SRT oil filter part number doesn't come up as good on a 2017. I ordered it and am in the middle of the oil change. Now freaking out because i am wondering if its compatible.
I have a 2015 Hallcat Challenger and Amazon is saying that the SRT filter will NOT fit the 2015. Is this true and if so any other recommendations? Thanks
SRT filter is for the viper but srt engineers say its also good for our hellcats because high pressure on the OEM oil filter can sometimes get over loaded and small particles can get through but the srt filter does a better job and catches more particles meaning cleaner oil through the system. google srt filter vs oem and you should find information on it
Thanks for the great video. Ordered my Mishimoto plug and I'm ready to go. Scared to take her back to the dealership for something so simple.

The dealer won’t do all this not even the filter top off great job

This also applies to the Ram Rebel TRX, since it has the same engine.
Best oil change vid question on the rt same procedure as far as the oil cooler ?
Thank for video. Really helpful
great video! like always
Great video, when you reset the oil life cant you just hold ok to reset like it said on the screen, or do you need to do the gas peddle like you did, does it make a difference, thanks.
I am not sure I have always done it on the gas pedal.
I just hold the ok button to reset my oil life percentage.
I think the Ultra platinum oil is designed for High Performances engines
Question for you, the SRT FILTER says it’s for a 5.7 NOT the 6.2 Hellcats .. but it dose fit .. so any thoughts?
what size socket did you use for the torque wrench? great video!
Great video
Hi, thanks for the helpful video. I'm about to do my first HC oil change soon. Can you tell me what is the product code for the Mishimoto magnetic drain plug that fits the HC oil pan?
Its the M14 x1.5. Not sure about the part number I will check.
Driveway Demons Hey what's up man?....I got a 2016 scat pack and it's got a oil cooler....do I have to drain. I can't find much info....
Hey do your supercharger on your hellcat requires maintenance? Or is the supercharger maintenance free?
Maintenance free

Do you have the link to the Mishimoto drain plug
I do. I thought it was in the description let me check
@@DrivewayDemons May we have the link for that Mishimoto drain plug, please? I don’t see it in the description. Thanks!

Rich Ednie No worries rich. Your good. It's the same. Also oil is too. Different dip stick tho so use 7 quarts.
Why do some Hellcats have the Hellcat emblem embossed onto the oil pan?
Can i use black oil penzoil in srt8 2009 6.1
The owners manual says SAE 0W-40, Synthetic API Certified
Do u kno the optimal pressures and temperatures for the 5.7 engine? While driving my oil pressure reads 55-60 psi. Oil temp 198-215 degrees
What’s the best full synthetic oil to run in my car?

Do you have any trouble getting up your ramps?
I use wood to help
About what percentage on the oil life gauge means it needs to be changed? I just bought a Hellcat and my oil life gauge says 59%
Technically 0. Its only 5000 miles so as long as its changed no later then when you hit 0%
@@DrivewayDemons ok cool thanks for the quick reply. I have Corsa Extreme exhaust going on the car next week I cant wait lol
I was thinking to use Amsoil for my Daytona 392. Has anybody used it and do you guys even recommend it?
Amsoil IS good. Use the right weight and you're ready to go.
Guys, would you recommend lucas oil stabilizer for hellcat. I use it for my other cars and was happy so far
No. Just use the penzoil ultra platinum 0w 40
If so use the synthetic version of lucas
does anyone know the correct sized on part number for a 2019 Hellcat Redeye Mishimoto drain plug?
M14 x 1.5
Is that the same size plug for the 2016 hellcats??
Every click is more Torque
I am really worried about taking my car to a quickie Lube place I don't feel like buying Jacks and lifts dealing with spilled oil
I would go to the dealer for sure unless you do it yourself.
You were photographer or im mistaken? wtf
