Thank you. My vast favorite is Don't Miss Me, the howling blues mixed with the floating jazz inside- reminds me of a comic strip, maybe an add for cupcakes, where an Igloo is being eaten by a polar bear. He smiles and says, " Mmm, frosted all around and crunchy on the inside!" Some times its the door, some times its the back window onto the cobblestone alleyway in the twisty rain, stumbling forth while putting on my boots again. Guess the Big Cat's life is blessed. Happy and all that, lets put it together and rise in 2022 as being the better world we are. My best regards to all of us, especially here where space meets time at the crossroads, may we calm the fuss and make the right moves. Forth.... ~RaVen~
I was around when Rock & Roll was born and heard all of the great bands and watched as the music got harder and harder....BUT THIS BAND IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE BEST I'VE EVER HEARD!!! They won me over when they did the "Mad Dogs and Englishmen Tribute " and had Leon and some of the gang on board... KEEP ROCKIN' TTB AND DON'T CHANGE A THING!!! MERCY!!!
I saw the same tribute recently, and finally figured out that the reason they have the band configuration that they do is because they both were so impressed with the sound of the Mad Dogs and Englishman sound. Hearing them perform "Space Captain" at an Eric Clapton "Crossroads" concert finally made sense.
Derek and Susan have a deep appreciation for great American music across many genres. But, the covers they do on stage have the strongest ties to Joe Cocker and Leon Russell (Mad Dogs and Englishmen), Derek and the Dominos, of course the Allman Brothers Band, B.B. King, the Beatles, and Bob Dylan. They pay homage to those great musicians through the covers and their own music draws from soul, Motown, rock, blues, jazz and Indian music (Derek is able to play sitar riffs with the slide). When I heard Derek play with the ABB in 2003 and then with his own band, I was hooked for life. The energy of the band and the crowds is off the charts. To top it all off, they are such fine human beings. Viva TTB!
We have seen TTB live five times from Philly, DC twice, Madison, WI to Indy. Hands down our favorite band ever to date. We still find our selves watching these awesome videos. Can’t get enough!
I've had the honor of seeing Live, Janis Joplin, Mountain, Who, Alice Cooper, Led Zep. Allmans a bunch, Skynard, Molly Hatchet, Wet Willie, Marshall Tucker, BB King, Buddy Guy, Joan Jett, AC DC, Kiss, Wayne Newton, Conway Twitty, John Anderson, Bill Monroe and many more great acts. I have seen this band, TTB several times and YOU really owe it to your ears and brain to go see them LIVE. They are amazing!
Unbelievable musicianship!! This band plays like no other out there today. It has to be incredibly expensive to have this large a group on the road, but boy they play.
I don't care what kind of pissed off mood i'm in but thank god i can play their music nice and loud on the way home and all that stress washes away! This band is MAGIC and I recommend you see them live. Thank you for sharing your band's gift and can't wait to see them live again!!!

How have I only just learned about this incredible band? Utterly breathtaking. One of the few things I can than the Covid-19 virus lockdown for. Thank you TTB, I'm a fan for life.

Superb!! A staggeringly gifted band. Three sumptuous hours of pleasure. Cannot get enough of this outfit. Hope the next studio album isn't far off and that they come back to the land down under soon.
Whatta Total Pleasant Surprise for me to learn of TTB. Susan Tedeschi is fabulous. My music streamer played a selection... Midnight Up In Harlem the other day. Iwa instantly Hooked. I'm a 71 YO, Woodstock Gen guy who loves Music. I never heard of the band, but I do Now. BTW, I live about 1 mile away from the Capitol Theater in Port Chester, NY. The Capitol has been a Venue for the Ages. FWIW, although as a teenager at the peak of the Fantastic 60s, I never saw any band there, I have a former neighbor (both he and his wife) who grew up in the area, saw every band of that ERA from The Allman Bros. to ZZ Top there!! Since the Re-opening of the Capitol years ago, I have seen The Moody Blues, Joan Baez and Get The Led Out there. Fun place.
I first watched this entire video in March. I revisit it for specific songs, but then I end up watching the whole thing all over again. Today's one such Sunday :)

I was lucky to see Susan a couple times. Once at the Harvest Blues Festival at Fredericton NB Canada and Pier 21 in Halifax NS Canada. Awesome blues singer!
Susan's touch on the solo starting at 23:18 is like warm honey. Derek's inimitable slide sound, as awesome as it is, occasionally overshadows Susan's guitar chops. Love this band and the respect they pay to the craft.
Damn fine! Susan what a guitar player saw her and Derek play w clapton and bb king. Think it was bb's 70th bday. So many guitar players thought the stage would collapse.
Can you even imagine the music Derek and Susan's kids will put out if they decide to follow in their parents footsteps? Also... That Idle Wind was absolutely nuts
Cmon man. I love em but best in the world. Throw that language away. It’s really aggravating to me because you act like you’ve talked to god and you have it on divine wisdom that their isn’t a comparable band anywhere. There are so many styles. You are a fool. Take your teenage music wisdom and give a normal compliment. Best ever in the world. You are a fools fool to say that.
All that fucking hands down no contest. I’m sure you think you know but no one is hands down the best ever. No one. That’s how teenage girls talk about Drake.

They are good! Without a doubt the best band in the world. Hmm. I’ve seen em. I have loved Susan since the nineties but best of all bands. Cmon man. You are just a biased fan. Best is strong.
I saw Blackberry Smoke open for them a couple years ago. Though BBS doesn't have the horns or Susan's vocals - I'm more a BBS fan. Vanilla/chocolate I guess.
Peter stated what he feels and believes for himself Not unequivocally-Not speaking for anyone else- not a blanket statement. Even though there is a whole, wide world of music out there I'm inclined to agree with him. Don't get me wrong, I get you. You are a little more exacting in your musical tastes, I think. The point is we're all here, in the comments, listening to the 🎵 and if we are enjoying the TTB, that's really what it's all ☺️about.💕
I love this band, what a fine ensemble of gifted musicians. From Susans voice and guitar and Dereks virtuoso playing and all the way through every member on stage, this band excels in a league of their own. When you listen to Rory Gallagher, Cream and Rush you have examples of how three people can cover all bases. But when you get the extra that the E Street Band offers you have so much more with a sizeable sound. But the Tedseschi Trucks Band take it even further, there is so much there in there sound. And hey, I love Alecia. She's great.
I love that this is clearly Susan's band and Derek is a willing sideman. One hell of a sideman but Susan is a force all her own and definitely drives the heart and soul of this band. A match made in Heaven!
I gotta say, they both play off each other, like, incredibly. You can see and feel the admiration between them. I'm in awe of both of them, but Susan, yeah, she brought me in.

First time I seen Derrek was in Daytona bike week a little bar his was 12 years old hung out with dad and band between sets he wasn't picking then just slide all ways a quite kid been keeping up with him since then . looking forward to see them in fort Myers Florida April 12 show
They are my morning wakeup call. Such a terrific group of musicians. Will see them next time in town! TTB - THANK YOU for including Jax in your tours!! 🎸🎷🎺🎹🎼🎤🎤🎤🎤❤
I just went to the rock n' roll hof. The only mention of best band on earth was a blurb about derek helping to stabilize the allman bros in the early 2000s. I hope that Derek and Susan are both in there some day before they turn it into a hip-hop pyramid
This band is the tightest band I ever heard, each and every one of the musicians is excellent on their instruments. Susan's voice is right on full of emotion, I have been a fan for years, they go all out on every song.
I loved watching Derek develop his tone over the last 15 years. As a good friend of mine said many years ago he is gonna age like a fine wine, I believe he is correct. Still crossing my fingers for a DTB reunion too:)
What amp is he using now? I can't make it out. Looks like Susan has a silverface super going still. I had seen or heard that his Supers were heavily modded.
'c'mon band, PLEASE come to Cleve this time around, wontchya? We have seen your performances each and every time here including last in Akron where we were pleased to have met Mr.Chris T in the lobby....we do look forward to you and we do preach the good news of TTB to all music lovers we know....would you all reconsider, please?
Derrick trucks iam sorry about butch he was one of my favorite drummers man iam shure hes in rock n roll heaven with all his buds man y'all sound better and. Better every time i hear the band you blow my mind on that sg ....peace to you all stay well every body darren taylor. Band fla
Man I'm glad you wrote that because I was just thinking the same thing in the back of my mind watching this wondering if I was crazy. I'm glad I wasn't the only one to feel that way. I've been playing guitar for 20 years and doing live sound and studio work too (just saying these aren't untrained ears I got) but there was for sure a couple parts in this video that I did a double take when they cut to him in his solo and I saw he didn't have a slide. I guess when your one of the, if not the best, slide player in the world, it is gonna come out even when you play without one. That's crazy. But it's also why he has a signature sound and I could pick him out of a group blindfolded. Which IMO is the hardest feat of them all, having a signature sound ain't easy. Anyways, cool, ✌️

They're so tight. Great vocals, guitars, drumming, brass section. Live better yet. Wow. Got to be the best band on the road today.
The one drummer is loving that right on time. You can tell he loves that New Orleans type of stuff, and so do I. They did an amazing job on that one here. That was sick.
Damn, its so easy to forget what a good guitarist Susan is. Hard to shine when your onstage next to Derek. Greatest live band going round today!
You are right Louis. Susan took her guitar to entirely different level last night.
The BB King influence beginning to show! Those two have had a mutual admiration going for several years.
Great comment. Just saw 5/10/19 & 5/11/19 in Oakland, CA, and Susan's guitar playing was smokin' -- She's now turned up in the mix, taking great solos....and obviously practicing a lot....TTB has definitely moved in to a place that is making each show epic!
Probably going to learn a thing or two playing with Derek Trucks.
What I love about both of them is their playing is instantly recognizable. For me, that's a testament to true artistry as a musician.
Man these guys are stellar. Phenomenal musicians, most definitely in a league of their own. They're so understated on studio recordings.
Really! The studio stuff gives so little indication of what you'll hear live.

Dumb a****, brother... It's just one of those things that happen every once in a while... and that's all it is.👍🏼
@Rick in Texas - Why does it matter what the lead singer looks like?
Thank yo uso all at Relix and of course your great camera men and the TTB band. What a night!

She's great.
agree!!!
Surprisingly fantastic to hear such good musicians in today's world! I thank the friend who brought me here!
I love that this is clearly Susan's band and Derek is a willing sideman. One hell of a sideman but Susan is a force all her own and definitely drives the heart and soul of this band. A match made in Heaven!
Susan's career was going nowhere until she married Trucks!

Just like the Derek Trucks Band.
I gotta say, they both play off each other, like, incredibly. You can see and feel the admiration between them. I'm in awe of both of them, but Susan, yeah, she brought me in.
Thanks guys! It was a fantastic experience for me. Thank you very much!!!
Unbelievable. One of the best blues rock bands ever. And I’m Led Zeppelin generation, folks.
Dam straight 👌
Love it when Mike sings!
I gotta say, they both play off each other, like, incredibly. You can see and feel the admiration between them. I'm in awe of both of them, but Susan, yeah, she brought me in from the way back. But, D Trucks, man, that dude ...
Very much digging the "dont miss me" jam. Thanks! To everyone.

There is finally enough room for Susan's fine bluesy guitar!
About 29 min in, the sax player proves that Dolphy lives!
Derek is my favorite young player….he makes me cry….with joy…..❤❤
Young? 55 I guess His demo is boomers mostly. We're just old!! they are doing well at gapping the generations though
These guys and gals just made it on my bucket list for sure!
Thanks, Relix and TTB!!
They are my morning wakeup call. Such a terrific group of musicians. Will see them next time in town! TTB - THANK YOU for including Jax in your tours!! 🎸🎷🎺🎹🎼🎤🎤🎤🎤❤
Love Susan’s voice. Not many better nowadays.
!!! love this band!!!
Thanks for this, Relix!
Such a talented bunch!
i was here!! counting down the days till covid is over
Love the band!!!awesome
I loved watching Derek develop his tone over the last 15 years. As a good friend of mine said many years ago he is gonna age like a fine wine, I believe he is correct. Still crossing my fingers for a DTB reunion too:)
I miss the super reverb tho
Me too. I had the pleasure of standing ear level about 15 ft away from it in 2005. Well worth the possible hearing damage.
What amp is he using now? I can't make it out. Looks like Susan has a silverface super going still. I had seen or heard that his Supers were heavily modded.
@Hawkins DeKoskie Some kind of custom Alessandro amp. It's basically a beefed up 50 watt Super.

Simply "wunderbar" !!!
God gave a precious few, this level Susan, but the woods would be silent, if only the birds that sang best were allowed. Respect from Mexico.
Susan and Derek, just swimming in the music, Derek what an amazing Tone on slide, Duane is crying pure love
The idle wind jam was amazing
Holy crap that is one incredible song
Best version I have ever heard them play, can hardly wait until they are in Detroit this July.
Smokin"
That was Beautiful Song WOW
Trucks is the reincarnation of Duane Allman. It is crazy how similar in tone they are.
Yes!! awesome band!!
Yes, "incarnate". Derek is the best alive but if it wasn't for Duane we wouldn't know Derek.
Just great. Amazing band
Thank You!

The very best all rocksoulblues band in the world! Incredible! Love them ❤ hope to see you in Spain pr Europe.
Wunderbare Musik. Thank you.
Good lord. It's sometimes impossible to hear wether Derek is playing slide or not. What a master on both sides.
No me canso de escuchar a la Tedeschi Trucks Band todo los estilos los tocan bien , auténticos profesionales.
I was there, great show ! R.I.P. Kofi
An antique SG, an old bottle neck and ten fingers! The man is a virtuoso!
