Off to Japan in a fee weeks for work the parts there are super cheap. Thinking of doing the TT02B shock tower mount, hubs and links or I might buy the kit though it's more expensive.

Type s The drive shafts of front wheels easily slip out from the knuckles. I changed these to yeah racing mod parts

Pretty sure the sound at the rear comes from the axles being at their max extension, as as they are dogbones, they make that sound going through a turn. When you slightly lift the hubs, the axles are not max extended, sound goes away. You can fix it by limiting suspension, or just not running the engine when the arms are drooping.

hey thanks for commenting, I'm skeptical because I don't think the max extension is that extreme to create problem, because it is limited by the length of the dampers you can see it at 1:10, but maybe you're right because of the additional forward angle for running it as short wheel base version to fit the Porsche body. Also I would hear it while driving it as well. Anyway the problem is solved with the new arm kit as well as greatly improving the handling of the car as a whole, highly recommend it for the price.

@@monsrc3122 I think it might be the forward angle + droop that causes it, but generally the rattling cant really come from elsewhere than something being off on the driveshafts. I had similar issues with my df03RA which also has the dogbones angled forward, as the wheelbase is compressed from the DF03 buggy to fit a normal car body. I dont really drift, but I have a TT-02SR which is like a cheap and cheerful racer as it shares parts with the old trf416(which I have lots of spares for), so its a good non serious track-car :D But the main thing is that it doesnt really affect the car when driving, it just when the suspension is hanging. The easy way to check is to remove the driveshaft from one side, and look if the suspension hangs lower on that side, then you know the otherside is resting on the driveshaft max extension. :)

Same issue here with my tt02, there is rattling noise when i lift the car but the noise dissapear when i lowering the suspension. So im pretty sure that is the dog bone shaft making contact with the gear box joint. Sorry my english is bad

The long rod steering is way better, don’t understand why you are taking it off. I have it on me and my sons tt02 and my tt02sr. I was interested in the eagle suspension for my xv02 as I was going to get the trf419 to try420 suspension upgrade for it. The xv suspension is a poor design for rally.

Short arm is better for drifting, the Ackerman ends up more parallel. The XV01 suspension arm are specifically designed for rally and better that eagle for rally. I think You’re making a big mistake swapping them out.

Hi how long did it take to arrive.. I ordered a set of the arm conversion and it left Japan about 3 weeks ago but hasn't shown up yet. I'm guessing it might be just delayed in transit.

Theres alot of clearance between your wheels and the hubs. I got the same set. Some how there's binding like chattering in the front diff when making full lock turn. @@monsrc3122

I bought one about 5 months ago and it has been nothing but a money pit. I am going on the 3rd chassis because the first one was warped and the second one broke in half after running off the road into dirt and grass and not hitting nothing. I have over $500 on this p.o.s. and not once has it went in a straight line. I was really getting into r.c. cars and saw a tricked out tt-02 so thats what I wanted and mine is fully upgraded aluminum everything almost but as useless as a football bat. I hate it and will never buy another Tamiya or anything from Option NO. 1 again. Useless

I agree TT02 can be a money pit, there's a lot of really useless parts that you need to stay away from to reduce cost, parts like alloy upper and lower arms are really bad investment and doesn't improve the car at all. looks good thou.

I have had a TT02b for a long time now and never broke a chassis and that gets driven off road all the time
