- On this video I share a recipe that will make you not buy bread again. The recipe and procedure is simple where you mix the ingredients and knead the dough, roll it and allow to rise then finally bake.
Ingredients:
600 g of all purpose flour
2 teaspoons of salt
2 tablespoons of sugar
1 tablespoon of yeast
2 cups of milk (400 ml)
4 tablespoons of vegetable oil
1/4 cup Chocolate Chips/Chopped Chocolate Block
Procedure:
Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl then add the milk and cooking oil.
Knead into a dough until it’s smooth for about 5 minutes then form into a ball.
Divide the dough in two and roll it into a rectangular shape until it’s 1/2 cm thick.
Add the chocolate chips(if using) and roll the flat dough tighlty. Make cuts with a small knife and roll completely.
Allow for the bread to rise while covered for 30 mins or until it almost doubles in size.
Apply egg wash and bake for 25 min in a preheated oven(200C)

Which is the best oven setting for bread? Fa, convetional, heat from both sides. My bread really hardened on the lower side
Both! Place tray at the center.

Greetings from Florida

Get an oven that’s electric and basically you need to find a cooker that has both too and bottom heat to be able to bake bread
@@ChefRaphael thx for the reply,am from Uganda 😀
@@ChefRaphael so it can have four burners for gas on the top cooking part, and then inside it’s electric where we bake from!
@@kayitesijackline5752 yes…the easiest oven to work with again is one with an electric oven not gas
@@ChefRaphael thx ☺️
Just learned something new about egg wash
Thank you chef
tired of buying bread!!!! finaly Question the 600g of flour is equivalent to how many cups ? As i don't have a weighing scale
About 4.5 cups but the idea is to have a dough that’s not sticky and semi hard
@@ChefRaphael I googled ,its in the oven now ,the only thing I didnt get was parchment paper, the shop was closed lol
Help me with measurements of these bread kindly
It’s on the video description
My challenge is chocolate chips , never seen them
They are usually in the supermarket at the baking supplies section (around the area where you get cake mixes or dried fruits) If you are in an area with Carrefour, they are also available at the section where they measure dried fruits, seeds and nuts.
@@jeanmyk Thank you so much!
