It's been way too long since I've uploaded - but so much has happened during this week! Today we dive back into the Dodge Magnum Hellcat Redeye Swap for Roadkill Nights! We make some MASSIVE leaps this video with the supply chain still not doing us any favors. We also unfortunately don't have the greatest luck with starting the car and so much more. Throttl just ran into this with their hellcat swapped viper, no rpm. It was a bad 12v key on signal that would drop ECU power upon cranking.
Yup, Mopars has nasty habbit to cut power when going from run to start or start to run, and most FI ecus think, car was shut off.
Was coming to say this very thing lol
@@jasonpoore7361 same. It needs a continuous 12v to the ECU. When u flip from on to start it cuts the ECU out.
I was happy when they got that viper running
The viper build popped up in my suggested feed (subbed now), I binged all 6 vids yesterday... my question is are there different classes in this competition? The viper build never mentioned a $10k budget and seemed like they def spent WAY more

My guess on the no start issue, since I have seen it so many times now: The ECU power was tied into an accessory power source which gets turned off while cranking.

@@02lucy666 Funny, because I haven't watched the Throtl video others are referencing. I've just seen it happen on many other builds now. 😂 I think the last one was MotionAutoTV or another channel I frequent.

We have had some fun with the starting/running. Some of its been perfect, and some of its been, interesting..
Just recently LS swapped a Roadmaster wagon with a Chevy crate motor. If it’s not the ECU power issue others mentioned, what held me back during my first start was needing to prime the fuel system. Turns out I had a small leak AND these ECUs cut power to the fuel pump if the engine does’ t fire in a certain amount of time. After getting fuel pressure to the rails, she cranked right away.

Crazy bro just got my bros 2015 rt Charger running again after hitting a deer it messed up the radiator and condenser but nothing major mopar cars are truly tough as nails and fun to drive seeing your progress makes me happy I can't wait to hear it start up hopefully you will be excited as I was to hear the big old hemi fire up again.

I haven’t had a chance to watch this video yet but fast and loud had an issue starting their hellcat swapped build.Problem was something like the ecu wasn’t getting signal from the key fob.

Well…it was still pretty cool to see some of the work being done and it’s good to hear that the engine ended up staring later on! Nice grab on that shift extender, I know it would’ve been a pain in the azz reaching towards to front for every shift.

Quick-tip - Get an air lift kit for filling the coolant through vacuum :) So fast and easy, and if it won't hold vacuum you know you have a leak somewhere
Yeah, those are a must have for modern cars. Saved me a bunch of times when I was working in a euro shop. Plus, because the system is under vacuum, you can usually find the leak with smoke.

One issue I've dealt with before is the entire security system of a car needing to be hooked up for it to initialize and allow you to start it. By the entire security system, I mean the ENTIRE security system, including the little red light in the door card. Could be something as simple as adding a resistor to trick the system into thinking everything is there (no, I didn't have time to watch the video yet so this could have been ruled out in it. I'll update my comment once I watch the video)

Currently swapping an LS3 into my 86 Z28 definitely a lot more work than I expected, done many small block swaps and there simple, all this computer controlled crap is brutal.
Check immobilizer/ignition? Is everything coded and run parameterization to mate all of the control modules

Fuel pump relay or fuses pulled from when you drained the old fuel system?? I did that on my last build and it drove me nuts until I had the lightbulb moment.

My guest would be a problem immobilizer or if it simple maybe the fuel pump was wired backwards. Can’t wait to see the video and the car at Roadkill though!!!
Neutral safety switch to clutch not hooked up?
throtl had the same issue with the 12v cutting off to the ecu, so they just ran a straight wire
What pedal assembly actually bolted into this thing?
Once your done with this build i would love to see a budget drag car build off. With something like a budget a $5000 or so. Maybe do it in collaboration with another car channel?

11:38 uh, thats not how that works. 2 pumps dont double capacity. It would possibly double consumption, but youd need a second tank for more capacity
