Today we make HUGE progress on the Hellcat Redeye Dodge Magnum build! We talk about our challenges with logistics, we swap our first subframe of the car, clean up some cosmetic stuff to keep us busy, and much more! This is giving me HOPE on my Magnum. I bought it with a haphazard 300c swap so to know so many things bolt literally right in is refreshing.

Stock hellcat/scat pack charger exhaust is also a bolt on. Got it on my Msrt sounds great.
If you're gonna change the exhaust anyway why choose a stock one instead of the aftermarket?

@@davenport2012 10k doesn't go very far in piecing together a hellcat build from scratch. Pretty sure he got the motor for free and a 10k for buying parts.

I'm not surprised that all these parts can fit in. The Magnum, 300, and Charger are all built from the same platform. The Challenger being derived from the Charger, it all checks out. It also helps that they haven't changed much at all since 2006

Other than a table collapse I see that you guys will be more than able to get this Redeye Magnum sorted with minimal issues. Kudos to the team you have together assembling this beast! That’s gas cap opening, I know exactly what you meant, see all those cool cars on Instagram, but when seeing them in person (or even unedited close up shots) and seeing all kind of imperfections on the small details kills my respect for those build. If you do it, do it right! 👌🏼💪🏼

Also when ya get around to the interior and ya don't like the tow tone 08-10 Chrysler 300 black interiors (door panels and plastics minus the dash) are a easy mod. Black cargo stuff can be found from Fenn's 300 parts out of the UK great guy to work with.
I love that feeling when you get all the boys together and just knock out a crap ton of work on a car build.

Wow amazazing it all bolts together almost like the chassis's are the exact same thing from them to now 😂🤣. I will say these chassis are wicked simple to work on.
Only easy to do big things. Little stuff like a hub assembly is super difficult without disassembling everything around it
@@valkyriesurvives5109 🤔 front or rear? It takes me 20 min to do a front hub on one of these, less if it's rwd. Rear hubs , it's been a while but I can do both rears in under 1.5 hrs . The steering gear , we used to race to see who could r&r one the fastest 🤣😂 I think my last time was 15 min . I think the hardest thing to do on these is any under dash work. I've made a lot of paychecks on these chassis . The rwd ones always need strut rods, tie rods and ball joints ....always . The AWD ones use a one piece lower arm with better geometry , they are beefy too. Engines and trans drop out the bottom like a mustang or Camaro....there really isn't anything very difficult on these . Now you want difficult try pulling a brake booster out of 95 Lincoln Continental with a 3.8 ltr v6 , step one remove rear cylinder head or my way ...drop subframe while engine is supported and swing engine foreword far as possible.
I'm glad someone is doing this on a v6 1st gen. I have a 2010 3.5L charger (my first car ever) , maybe one day I can swap it out for a hellcat motor.
Hopefully they clean up the headlights!!!

throtl over in San Diego is also in the Roadkill Nights competition; their entry is controversial because its a Viper R/T 10, and all those Viper fanboys are furious because swapping out the V10 for the Hellcat V8 is considered sacrilege...
i had a srt8 magnum and they all take the paint off when you remove the molding, mine did the same had to repaint the doors
Honestly man the cosmetic stuff is still part of the build so I don't mind watching it also.
All of the build is cool to me, even the smallest details.

You'll need to change shocks and springs out unless you have a plan for the factory magnet ride wiring. But yea everything will bolt in. Only thing custom will be wiring
I'm sure it's not in the budget but I would love to see the front end swapped for the newer look bc ive never liked the front of that generation

If your hurting on the budget but wanna "wide body" it but stock quarters and fenders and cut/weld them it's prob about quarter inch wider but aye more room for some meaty tires
Fun fact the rear end went in with out fab due to all mopars 05 to current are on the lx platform chassis

you're doing what I would've done to my 07 V6 Charger had it not blown up on me a 2nd time before getting the money for it, they have this interesting looking 69 style hideaway headlight front end conversion called the Danko Charger and I wanted to Hellcat swap it with that kit

I wish he would revisit the terminator one last time in tribute to the hellcats and other cars it inspired. Like maybe get a mystichrome terminator and talk about all the history behind the paint and more in depth stuff about competition it fueled. This magnum is insane

How do they not know that all of the lx platforms are identical and everything is a complete swap, even the dash board.
We've been doing this for years now. I assumed these kind of swaps were common knowledge by this point.

Quick suggestion, make it a widebody with a 2015+ front end with the bodykit from VicRez and possibly convert the rear bumper to fit the Magnum.
And I actually quite like the Magnesium Pearl color on it. :)

The paint on camera is much nicer than in person so thankfully it wasn’t catastrophic.😂

Suprised that subframe just bolted right in. Would think the design would have changed at some point over the years.
Charger/300/magnum are all the same front and rear subframes all that same with interior 15+ interior bolts right in
