It saved but at the cost of the old gen. Most changes from past like CCU, to recent changes like characters moveset and crossplay ruined Old-Gen in various ways. It is a fun game and definitely worth trying but not on Old-Gen Consoles.
The game is crack cocaine. Yes it’s good. But it is the most addictive shit i’ve played in my fucking life. And EVERYONE who plays it KNOWS for a FACT this is one of the most tilt inducing games that have ever existed. It’s great, fun, challenging, a test of skill, but to the point it’s addictive.
@@D44RK_Iced_Yogs i swear i HAVE to take breaks from the game and EVERYTIME i come back, i win almost always but always end up pissed off, i’ve broken my hand twice playing it just this year alone. And both times i was top scoring.
The best thing about For Honor is despite being so challenging, it's not "hard" to play, you know? It's super arcade, and you can still have a ton of fun playing it (as long as you learn to control your emotions).
For Real bro and what is so weird with it is that i actually lose and rage a lot but i'm still addict to this game like normally when you endure this on a game you quit, but no ! I can't, i need to play again and improve
The problem I encounter with trying to get my friends to play is that I know the game and they don't. They don't like playing with me, because if we fight each other, I always win, and if we head into dominion we get matched against players of my level and they get stomped. I try to encourage them, saying they're doing really well, but it's hard for them when they're just getting stomped over and over again.
Take em into training to teach them. Have em try out different characters, Hito was super easy for me to get used to the game with. I was in the same situation as your friends, my buddy is cracked so trying to get into the game initially playing with him was MISERABLE but he did the things I just pointed out like taking me to training and teaching me how to counter certain characters and the importance of fainting and guard breaks and all that. Now after about 2 week I'm able to top score in dominion at his skill level and I even won my first 1v1 against a rep 400 yesterday. Once they start to actually get a grasp on the game, and start doing better, theyll get addicted.
@@braindead3806 that sounds like a really good idea, but they already have a negative impression of the game, and its hard to convince them to try it again.
That’s unfortunate. The next time they are willing to try it again, have them invite you so the party is theirs. That way, the matchmaking is more targeted towards the new players. Now granted, you’ll still get high rep opponents, but there will usually be at least one low rep opponent
Yeah i have this same problem with m'y Friends and they don't want to train and watch guide on their character like i did for improve alone on the game so that even more difficult. But i Wonder, did the matchmaking change on their favor if they are the one who invite me in their session ?
this wasnt mentioned but crossplay is now a thing and improves alot on matchmaking times, ontop of that there are monthly roadmaps and constant things happening including hero fests which bring unique executions the warplanning side of for honor has also been growing more popular as people stop being apathetic about it and plant their banners, ubisoft even indorsed the three warplanning servers Westhold, kyuden and warborn
i have full faith in the dev team at this point sure they dont always hit their shots perfectly but comparatively the game is on a rise we could only dream of just a few years ago so if theyre thinking about cross progression its probably in the works already
Easiest fix for that pirate infinite ammo is to add a super quick animation to her gunshot attacks where as part of the recovery, she drops her pistol, and pulls a new one out from her coat. That's at least more believable that infinite ammo.
I reckon they could add like a stance input like medjay to either get a new gun or reload it obviously with the gun nerf make it do more dmg or something so ppl use it and not just toss it in her kit tho
We need more loadout slots, some characters got hella drip 3 slots is definitely not enough it needs to be like at least 5, maybe to help with the grind make them accessible after certain reps
@@LeGabrielMandont worry, you do t have to be ashamed of that. Just know that there are other people like you and people who support your presence. I personally am straight, but you do you.
The hate stigma is SO real. I was doing an internship at a local auto shop in my senior year of HS and I suggested the game to the two dudes I was shadowing. Both of them looked at me like I was crazy and hated the game because they haven’t played since Centurion’s release where everyone was stuck in a cutscene. One bad experience really forced people not to play and then not recommend it to others because they haven’t tried it since.
Something that I'm still impressed with For Honor to this day is how lenient it is with PVE players. They could've removed the PV-AI matchmaking option years ago but they haven't. So if you're rusty, tired of playing PVP, just trying to learn the game or farming daily challenges, the game doesn't gate you out of the (relatively) stress-free PVE lobby at all. Other multiplayer games, even Ubisoft's own Rainbow Six Siege, either doesn't have any COOP option or try their best to make PVE obsolete. The in-game cosmetics are also obtainable just by playing at a steady rate.
@@christophhaas5696 generally anything that gives you XP can be used for daily challenges as well. Arcade, PV AI of any mode work (even limited time event ones) The play X for 7 rounds or that kind of challenges are especially easy to grind in arcade, because Arcade counts each chapter as one separate game lobby.
@@Crestfallen_Warrioryea though i like it because you can experience the old for honor in it ,including the old minion kill animations that they removed when they adfed the wulin
@@woodlandleshy3876 Removing the minion kill animations was such a poor choice, honestly. It's just because they would have to make more unique animations for all the new heroes they added. It's like, they want to earn more money by adding more heroes, but they don't want to put in the work, for example, to make them unique. I think that's called Cherry picking.

Honestly if you are on console don't play for honor, or not by yourself. This game is a different kind of hell on console, some attacks feel unreactable, which is why a lot of console players throw random lights from neutral. This is something pc players don't understand, we can't see some of the attacks.
On old gen I could agree, but on new gen where the fps is comparable to PC, it's way more in line with that player pool, but I can always tell when I'm against a PS4/Xbox one player when they think throwing neutral lights every time they want to start a combo will do something but I just parry it
Playing for honor in xbox one has forced me to predict and read someone's mind every second of my life Don't you love how neutral is a seven way mixup? I sure do!
The biggest issue in this game is the steel yield. Let’s say I play a dominion match that lasts 10 minutes and as a reward for that I get 50 steel (which is a fairly accurate yield). To unlock a character I need 15000 steel. That is equal to 15k/50 = 300, 10 minute matches or 50 hours. I know there are daily and semi daily orders that reward about 1k steel a day, but that doesn’t excuse the abysmal steel yield from matches.
I can’t believe these devs have put Conq and Lawbringer through 2 TGs and still neither have a roll catch. In the same way that every character had a dodge attack Conq and Lawbringer need a roll catch
You are honest and fair about this game, l respect that🙏. Like all others who play had this game for a long time now, it is hard to recruit new players.
The devs are starting to take steps in the right direction, but in typical ubi fashion, fumbled the bag with the ‘event mode’ people have been asking for for 8 years, instead of making it a concrete game mode
@@financialproblems9308 regardless of how people play it, you can’t say it’s not a fumble on their part making it an event mode, it really adds some variety to the game having a 1v1v1, and excluding that for another 2 years until they do some throwback is just stupid imo
@@mcwhoopin3928 i liked the gamemode, hopefully we get a true fffa in the future, just saying how no matter how good stuff we get theres always othes that complain

No new maps, no re works to old charcters when new op ones r intrpduced, broken revenge that plays favorites, they dotlnt ban scripters, they took away the stats. What direction is this you speak of? Because it sounds like ur just talking to talk
Do you specifically mean "dodge attack option select"? Warden has side dodge bash, but it doesn't counter feint to guard break like most dodge attacks.
I haven't played in years, I had to stop because I played so much I was breaking controller through excessive wear and tear lol. Glad it's still going pretty strong.
So what would you do then in the middle of a team fight if you kill someone with a heavy? Dodging or attacking are the fastest ways to get unstuck when you do t want to execute.
@@aarongeorge347 unlocking or dodging are the only ways to get out from the kill animation, from memory. I didnt say to use the dodge button, i said to use the buttons that dont do anything during the post-execution kill animation that we are stuck in.
@@averageeughenjoyer6429 there are 2 inputs for execution. Hold/press GB, or hold/press emote. The only things that take you out of a kill animation are unlocking and dodging. Every other input could be used for executions or at least the feint button to get 2 more executions.
Every time I encourage someone to play for honor they laugh and say it's trash , I said how's that ? And they say it's hard....no comment Gameers these days man I swear to god
It’s sadly the effect of all fighting games, people will gravitate towards simple games like cod and stuff where even if your bad u can feel like your doing something by getting some kills. People just don’t like to get good 😔
1k hrs here, It's just kinda stagnant from my POV. Im decent enough but not stellar. It just kinda feels oppressive to get constant matches where you cannot even attack.
Devs don't know how to balance any character worth crap, community can't properly admit what is actually "op" due to bias, all new character on release are BROKEN OP to get people to buy them, there is no distinction between heavy and assassin, all characters now are fast, Whats the point? Every character has some form of doge attack either bash or dmg attack. The "skill" matchmaking is a complete joke CoD has a better system and CoD is dumpster juice. Feats are either unimaginative, or busted beyond belief ie: that ghost crap on the Myan, did anyone even playtest that? Revenge still don't work right since they broke it years ago and still haven't addressed that, also to abuse the system so two people wont gen revenge for a person they are ganking they do that lock on off crap. No make it so if party A is getting ganked and they are hit by x player were x is 2 or more then for y seconds party A gens revenge at defined rate and the gank must wait if they dont want party A to gen Revenge. When you shift, even slightly while reacting to an attack that is registering in one of the three directions can and will hit you in an opposite direction even if you are actively defending/parrying it because somehow an overhead magicly turns into a left sided strike, the reticle will flash for attacks that are quite literally yards away that needs to be shortened to a more logical distance so faking out can occur, but you wont have the issue how it is currently. Vote kick needs to be implemented, cheaters still run rampant. Cross play was a mistake, how can you have PC go against console, when on PC there are things that are reactable that simply aren't on console, not to mention the controller customization for PC that console does not have access to in the same way, its like playing Black Desert Online on console but vs a pc player with all the tabs available, sure that sounds fair and balanced. Ping still plays a major part in the game, and going against people with dog internet needs to stop but wont. All attacks come out to fast with next to no forced recovery prioritizing spam at its finest, and for the love of god make stamina a resorce again. There is no reason for a Kensi or anyone to get parried 10 times in a row and still have any stamina remaining, or like wise block an indefinite length of time. Stamina in a fighting game like this should be your number one concern, but no becasue that would take skill, and the people who are left playing For Honor have none. The game is not "hard" it is trash however.
@spinaljuice4596 yeah problem with all fighting games is if your better than your opponent they actually can't throw any attacks cus they just get insta countered where as in cod If someone better than me I still shoot my gun and throw grenades but in for honor if u suck and u do t what to do everytime u make a wrong decision its immediately punished oh you there a light it got parryed, you threw a bash he dodged and I still threw the light it got parryed I throw a dodge attack it got parryed I stood still I ate the bash. If someone is better it's some combination of better reacts and making better decisions. Every right decision they make is wrong decision from you which for a new player just feels kinda terrible
As someone who fell in love during open beta and fell out of love towards the end of year 4, this game is in a much better place! I came back at the end of year 7 and it’s more fun than it used to be across the board, but with twice as many characters than when I left, there is a learning curve so I can only imagine a brand new player
After years of trying to play this game and giving up over and over again, I finally got back into recently, and started to actually get good at the game. Now it's literally all I want to play. I think it's in a better state than it's ever been
Thanks for the info/review of For Honor, ever since this game came out I’ve been fascinated with it, final got a series s and downloaded the game last night. Really looking forward to online play but gotta do the campaign first then, get good and then I can come online.
If you do play this game please remember it IS A FIGHTING GAME and if ur not prepared to improve yourself then dont complain when it feels like its impossible
In short, if you have good control over your emotions you should give it a try, although you may no longer have such good control after some time playing the game. If you already have anger issues, STAY FAR FROM THIS GAME IT ISNT WORTH IT!
One of my friends has anger issues and he magically crashes and he switched to controller because his keyboard was broken ( i played on his pc and it’s all fine) he coped so hard he switched controls
@@LeGabrielMan I’ve somehow gotten through my whole gaming career without breaking a controller or anything like it. But one small window Pane and a nearby ukelele have been casualties and I’m pretty sure they both came from this game.
Re downloading after a very long layoff. I can't wait to get back into the grind. I was never very good but do miss the gameplay style. Last time i logged in was before they introduced the Maya/azteca warrior. I hope my warden hasn't changed much.
I don’t quit matches but I understand why people do due to match making. Also every new character being pay to win with hyper armour unblock-able undodge-able tracking side attack heavy’s that deal 35 damage.
Well, this was TOTALLY an unbiased review. 😜The way I see it, this game is only better for those who want the kind of changes and gameplay that it offers. It could just as easily be argued that the 2017 crowd could justly call today’s crowd “losers” or “wussies” for not liking the 2017 version of the game. Name calling doesn’t invalidate an opposing view, the 2017 crowd just liked a different game, essentially. 🙄😒 Of course they are bitter about the change because even if the game is better now, the game they liked got sacrificed to make it what it is now. I got the game a year or two after it came out but had watched gameplay from the get go. I played and enjoyed for a year or so and then left for several years then tried to play this game several years ago when they started revamping stats and equipment upgrades and introduced abilities that were directly linked with weapons and armor pieces. It was all unnecessarily complex in my opinion 😵💫🤯 but I still enjoyed playing it. It wasn’t the same game for me hardly at all, it felt exceptionally different to me. 🤔 I stopped playing it because there were new characters that had just been introduced that I could only get if I paid cash 🤑 and kept getting destroyed by those who had shelled out for the new (at the time very overpowered) characters and had never stopped playing the game from the start. 🤦♂️ Like you said matchmaking was never very good. All in all, I could come back to this game no problem, so long as I expect to lose while relearning the game and all its changes or if they had a matchmaking system that worked better so super skilled players would rarely if ever have the opportunity to destroy the “noob” players. Changes to core mechanics are always a sure fire way to alienate a significant portion of your player base, but also a sure fire way to get others to try and love the game. Change mechanics and characteristics and you change your player base.
For Honor is an amazing game rn and I’d say it’s in an amazing state at the current moment. If you can deal with lots of death and be able to be dedicated enough to have the patience to learn, you’ll enjoy your time.
I think one of the best changes to have ever come out is making dodge attacks a light parry, this has made people dodge attack less and actually use or properly which has in turn made fights a lot more fun.
Ive had ups and downs…my first wall was learning how to block consistently…then learning how to parry in a real fight instead of fighting for my life…that made the game way fun
I would say that if you have good internet it won't really be that big of a problem. Of course it will always have problems and people will complain. To me the fun has been lost, yeah leaving teammates suck. But my biggest problems are character feeling to much like each other, and every now and then correct reads don't actually happen.
Characters are outdated, you should have add that. Ubi also takes ages to update or fix anything, add that too. Also no new maps for ages which is another problem. The negative and positive are hand in hand which is why it’s not growing lmao
Well realistically there's much more negatives atm then positives. For example. They are greedy as fck regarding the money. New outfit comes out for a hero- buff that hero for few weeks or couple of months until enough ppl buy the outfit and then nerf happens. Lol
There was a redditor who managed to do some math and found out (in the free to play weekend I believe) around 100k people played during that time. I’m thinking it’s much more massive than you think and I don’t doubt it.
As a returning day 1 player I'm actually against every character having dodge attacks, yes they're necessary to beat bashes but at the same time they don't just beat bashes do they? They beat regular attacks, bashes, guard breaks, a couple of them are hard or soft feintable. They feel far too versatile unless I'm missing something they just beat ALL forms of offense and the only counter is to just bait them out and do nothing which cuts short your actual pressure. I understand they've all become light parries to account for this but honestly it's just extremely boring to play against to me.
Honestly, I forgot how fun the game was. I just redownloaded it and I was thinking here we go again, but I had a lot of fun playing. No, I'm probably not gonna play it every single day like I used to. It is still fun though. Also having a mic helps a lot. It makes the game a lot more fun, and for me having people to talk to in game it just makes it a lot better.
This game has come so far over the years. I remembet playing this awsome game when i was like 6 or 7 years old. Im sstill playing it. I am glad this game is still alive and its really fun to play the game with friends. This game is pure gold to me. I hope you all understand.
I played for honor beta and launch and ngl I feel like there is so much character/class bloat or over choice that isn’t necessary and keeps me away from getting back into it. But I’m glad to see the community is still strong!
For honor is a game I will always come back to. It’s fighting style and heroes are to unique and fun that no other game I played could ever give me the same high.
I was hoping XDefiant was going to get tweaked and improved, it has potential, but they just announced this week they're shutting it down. I still play RB6, this is still fun to play, I saw for Honor launch years ago but never checked it out, but it looked really good back then. I might check it out, they really cared about RB6, it looks like they treated For Honor with the same care too.
Honestly, I feel like for honor is better than ever to get back into or into in general. The learning curve is so steep, though. I tried to get two of my friends into for honor and they just quitted before even playing the story through, saying that the game is being unfair etc. Well now, I obviously don't talk for all the players out there, since those friends I invited, they usually play more casual games instead of fighting games, but I imagine a lot of other people are generally kept out of the game. And I feel like for newer players, mocking emotes are just not funny. If you plan for honor, you're either a masochist like me, or you're genuinely good at the game. People just aren't willing to put in the time and the work to get good. And, as you said in the video, the game does a poor job to prepare the newcomers for the absolute shithole they're jumping into when they try multiplayer for the first time. Like, the story mode is easy, even on realistic and bots are either borderline unkillable (looking at you, Warlord and Conqueror bots) or stupid easy. There is no in-between. They just don't compare to real players and if you train with them, you will fall into bad habits that will get you killed in real combat scenarios. But enough of my rant. Go and play the game, little hollows. We'll meet up on the battlefield.
Everytime i play it i feel like to learn how to defend from a single move i have to spend 10 hours of training on each. Because lots of orange attacks have 2 different outcomes, and to realise which one is this, you get like 2 frames. So everytime i fight against one of the characters that are relatively new to me i feel like i can win only if i get lucky or if i spam them with mixed up attacks so hard that they dont have a chance to do the same to me. Thats what keeps me from returning to For Honor because im used to the idea from other melee games that i can defend from most of the moves if i know how to not having to spend 10 hours learning to defend from just one move being done by my enemy with just pressing 3 buttons
So basically: "You are going to die to actually humanly unreactable shit, suck it up and try to get better by guessing what's going to happen because you aren't reacting to it"í Yep, seems like a fun game.
My main issue used to be balancing, the newer characters just stomped the older ones with far superior moves and advantages and less holes in their kits.
I started playing a couple weeks ago for the first time in 4 years, and so far it had been fun. Feels weird being like rep 10-20 on dudes I used to play and getting dumpstered by everyone because I am irredeemable trash at this game now, but I guess that’s life.
I personally don't think those things are mutually exclusive. When you first fight a new opponent, you are making guesses, sure. But when you detect a pattern and make a read based on that, you are making a tactical decision, no? And after said read, if you're going to respond with something like a parry, don't actions like that require some degree of precision in their execution?
One of the things I found frustrating is the duel pace. After a match you have to wait for stuff to be given to you and how many internet points you get or whatever. It's like 2 mins to rematch. In other (normal) fighting games, rematch is instant.
I returned recently, i played hardcore during beta up until gladiator, i think alot of people still have a sour taste from back then with all the unlock tech and infinites (centurion) even shugoki when he could one shot hug you😂 game is so much better and i wish it got more exposure
I'm gonna try, I'm gonna give it an honest attempt and I'm gonna try to find a group to play with because I really love how unique this game is but I can't go back into solo queue
For me the biggest problem was and why i quit in 2021 was bc they gave unblockables dodge attacks to EVERYONE. IDK if they need it they couldve come out with a new mechanic and give it to them but the way it is now its like everyone has everything and the characters are not unique enough.
Loved this game, but this seriusly needs a "For Honor 2" of some kind in my humble opinion. It can launch flawlessly thanks of so many years of feedback and take its iconic combat to the next level. I'm betting that one indie guy, or company will eventually make a game with this sistem. One can only hope...
I am in one of the weirdest places with this game. I have about 300h of playtime and almost 200 of these is in vs Ai only. The best thing for me in this game is the customization of my characters to look awesome. So I level them to rep 10 to unlock everything besides the max rep rewards - make them look super awesome - drop them and get to the next hero. It's weird but I come back to this game so often for this.
This is probably the best value for money game I've ever played in my life, I'm addicted to warzone, I've played all the MKs and I'm many hours deep into Tekken. From someone who loves competitive games this is a marvel and one of its kind in the hack and slash multiplayer versus genre
the first thing i recommend for new players is to play the campaign first. even if its outdated it’s still for honor. There is still something to take from it and will still be good to learn from. then find which character you want to play first. take them into practice and play them a little bit to see what they do. then take them into duals. after that try dominion. i think dominion is something you should try last bcz it’s the gamemode that players find the most frustrating to play. maybe look up a dominion guide aswell.
If ubi focused on game modes I think fh would have a longer lasting impact. I like that they’re reworking maps for dominion, but adding new features in other game modes, making a playlist of previous time-limited modes, or even brand new ones (last hero standing for example) would make the game fresh again.
All I gotta say is don’t limit ur self to one character cuz u would get bored fast and go to training mode use the level three bot and practice with every hero and see which u like always feint it attacks
I've been playing for honor since it was released on and off, and I'd say I'm very competent at the game, but as of recent events, I only play this game with my buddies because there is no other game like this on the market. The only issue is that I'm far ahead of them in terms of skill level, so whenever we party up, I feel terrible because I know they are going to have to face people of similar skill so when we join in, we have a couple of good rounds then the SBBM kicks in, and they get bodied there is only so much suffering they can take before we call it a day and as of recent those times of us playing have shortened as its either us facing absolute light parry gods or some of the most in sync gank fighters known to man honestly if SBBM was just a bit fairer I could see my buddies staying for longer, but I can’t blame any of them for not wanting to pick up or put it down as the game is so unfriendly to new players when you play with experienced players because all they seek is fun with the boys and they get curb stomped for simply wanting to play with the boys.
Just got into it recently, was hard at first (Got wrecked in beginning) but played the tutorial after and I am better and enjoying the game (there is some rage here and there but that is me with every game😅)
storm rush is way to op. it has reduced indicator. the indicator is active for 366 ms.the move itself is 600 ms with 20 damage. pretty much a undodgeable 366 ms 20 damage light that executes if u cant read animations.
Had blast with this game when it released. Yeah it had some issues but overall you got still fight your way up with pure skill. The only thing that sucked was the 1st tournament which was won by basicly using the Nobushi bug lmao. Thats when I could not take the game seriously anymore. Its that I lost my account with For Honor and Siege on it. OTherwise I would have still played it here and there..
They should take a page from overwatch and put a five second timer on the quit button. That stopped me from raging so many games. I don't get like "drawn out mad" but I will get heated enough for a couple seconds to quickly smash two buttons to leave. I feel dumb while I'm sitting there waiting for that timer to count down and haven't left a quick play game since lol
This game is great. All the modes are dope and encourage you to get better. I’m enjoying it since Gamepass isn’t putting out a lot of AAA titles that I wanna play.
For honor is an unique and beautiful game but for few people, wouldn't recommend it to anyone because you start enjoying it more when you become good at it. I remember how angry I would get at the game and the players when I started playing, I still do sometimes but I mostly brush it off now and take brakes when I need to, so sure it's worth giving it a try if you have the patience to learn to play it. Still no matter what I always come back to this game, I feel like it has become "my type" of game as a fan of medieval themes and sword fighting.
I've played since launch. The good! -Swordplay feels good. -Vast variety of characters to play. -Customization is solid. -All characters call be bought with earned currency by just playing. -Still quite active. -Satisfying gameplay loop. Keeps me coming back often. -Still adding new characters -Crossplay Compatibile The bad... -Currency grind is a little slow. -Single player content is lacking. -No local 1v1 mode. -community is quite toxic at times. -Playing on an old console feels like a handicap. (Modern hardware outperforms by a large margin) -Some map designs are questionable -Limited starting characters. -Nobushi
I like it enough, I’ve played on and off since release but never enough to be good against other players so I only play against bots. It’s fun and satisfying combat wise and the executions are cool

@@theguy9041 daaaaamn not much u can do then RIP
That’s unfortunate. The next time they are willing to try it again, have them invite you so the party is theirs. That way, the matchmaking is more targeted towards the new players. Now granted, you’ll still get high rep opponents, but there will usually be at least one low rep opponent
Yeah i have this same problem with m'y Friends and they don't want to train and watch guide on their character like i did for improve alone on the game so that even more difficult. But i Wonder, did the matchmaking change on their favor if they are the one who invite me in their session ?

the warplanning side of for honor has also been growing more popular as people stop being apathetic about it and plant their banners, ubisoft even indorsed the three warplanning servers Westhold, kyuden and warborn
Still no cross progression, though. I would totally pay 20 more dollars to play for honor on PC with my account that I have on the PlayStation.

You say that but I honestly think the ai is more cracked than actual players on the higher difficulties
I didn’t know you could do daily challenges by playing against AI. Is that true? And what do you mean with your last sentence?
@@christophhaas5696 yes you absolutely can

Honestly if you are on console don't play for honor, or not by yourself. This game is a different kind of hell on console, some attacks feel unreactable, which is why a lot of console players throw random lights from neutral. This is something pc players don't understand, we can't see some of the attacks.
On old gen I could agree, but on new gen where the fps is comparable to PC, it's way more in line with that player pool, but I can always tell when I'm against a PS4/Xbox one player when they think throwing neutral lights every time they want to start a combo will do something but I just parry it

Orders exist buddy and steel is hardly an issue once you play for a while
I can’t believe these devs have put Conq and Lawbringer through 2 TGs and still neither have a roll catch. In the same way that every character had a dodge attack Conq and Lawbringer need a roll catch
You are honest and fair about this game, l respect that🙏. Like all others who play had this game for a long time now, it is hard to recruit new players.

It just kinda feels oppressive to get constant matches where you cannot even attack.
maybe suggest them to play easier heroes to start with 🤔
Devs don't know how to balance any character worth crap, community can't properly admit what is actually "op" due to bias, all new character on release are BROKEN OP to get people to buy them, there is no distinction between heavy and assassin, all characters now are fast, Whats the point?

Of course they are bitter about the change because even if the game is better now, the game they liked got sacrificed to make it what it is now.
I stopped playing it because there were new characters that had just been introduced that I could only get if I paid cash 🤑 and kept getting destroyed by those who had shelled out for the new (at the time very overpowered) characters and had never stopped playing the game from the start. 🤦♂️
Like you said matchmaking was never very good.

I think one of the best changes to have ever come out is making dodge attacks a light parry, this has made people dodge attack less and actually use or properly which has in turn made fights a lot more fun.
bro 1 deflect and im hooked again😂
Lol
i thought this game was dead or atleast with a very niche player base but im so happy its still alive. im going to jump back into it.
I just started For Honor three days ago and I’ve been having a lot of fun with friends
Honestly, I forgot how fun the game was. I just redownloaded it and I was thinking here we go again, but I had a lot of fun playing.
I might check it out, they really cared about RB6, it looks like they treated For Honor with the same care too.
dont get me wrong, id love to come back to this game but the issue is i have no clue where to start
Just came back and got 4 buddies back into it. We back to clapping lobbies. And now with no more reflex guard, my assassins feel better than ever
Thank you for adressing the MMR quitters, not being pentalized for quitting games is the number one thing right now that is killing this game.
That wyverndale ost is definitely one of the best medieval style music Ubisoft has made

Hey I've never played before but am considering it. How's the money situation? Do you have to pay for cool stuff? Is it pay to win? How's progression?
It not pay2win if you learn how to play a hero you can win against all others
My main issue used to be balancing, the newer characters just stomped the older ones with far superior moves and advantages and less holes in their kits.
I started playing a couple weeks ago for the first time in 4 years, and so far it had been fun. Feels weird being like rep 10-20 on dudes I used to play and getting dumpstered by everyone because I am irredeemable trash at this game now, but I guess that’s life.
From games like pop, fc, ac, rm to this niche online games i think is safe to say this game is made for the few.
I just wish the game was less about reads and more about precision and tactics
I personally don't think those things are mutually exclusive.
When you first fight a new opponent, you are making guesses, sure. But when you detect a pattern and make a read based on that, you are making a tactical decision, no?
And after said read, if you're going to respond with something like a parry, don't actions like that require some degree of precision in their execution?
One of the things I found frustrating is the duel pace. After a match you have to wait for stuff to be given to you and how many internet points you get or whatever. It's like 2 mins to rematch. In other (normal) fighting games, rematch is instant.
Best thing to come iut of ubis as
I returned recently, i played hardcore during beta up until gladiator, i think alot of people still have a sour taste from back then with all the unlock tech and infinites (centurion) even shugoki when he could one shot hug you😂 game is so much better and i wish it got more exposure
I love For Honor, I’ve been playing it for 8 years since the release
I remember new armour costing a fortune and it didn't even look any different to what was available
the first thing i recommend for new players is to play the campaign first. even if its outdated it’s still for honor.
On steam I saw that have on average 3000-5000 people Soo this looks good
storm rush is way to op. it has reduced indicator. the indicator is active for 366 ms.the move itself is 600 ms with 20 damage. pretty much a undodgeable 366 ms 20 damage light that executes if u cant read animations.
tl;dr
no
combat core update and it's consequences have been a disaster for for honor
Had blast with this game when it released. Yeah it had some issues but overall you got still fight your way up with pure skill. The only thing that sucked was the 1st tournament which was won by basicly using the Nobushi bug lmao. Thats when I could not take the game seriously anymore. Its that I lost my account with For Honor and Siege on it. OTherwise I would have still played it here and there..
haven't played this game in YEARS
i just wanna chill while hearing the screams from the for honor characters again XD
Most important tip is play it with friends, its much funnier, and easier to learn together
I am amazed how this game held up
The only part of og for honor I miss is the heavy deflect on orochi
The fact that this game is still alive is astonishing.
Love ur take on quitters bro I hate that shit too lol
Totally worthy game in 2024, with no doubt.
Just started playing. Love/Hate already started ... I'm in
I've played since launch.
The good!
-Swordplay feels good.
-Vast variety of characters to play.
-Customization is solid.
-All characters call be bought with earned currency by just playing.
-Still quite active.
-Satisfying gameplay loop. Keeps me coming back often.
-Still adding new characters
-Crossplay Compatibile
The bad...
-Currency grind is a little slow.
-Single player content is lacking.
-No local 1v1 mode.
-community is quite toxic at times.
-Playing on an old console feels like a handicap. (Modern hardware outperforms by a large margin)
-Some map designs are questionable
-Limited starting characters.
-Nobushi
I like it enough, I’ve played on and off since release but never enough to be good against other players so I only play against bots.
It’s fun and satisfying combat wise and the executions are cool
There is a 15 minutes cooldown for rage quitting. How much more can they do?
2:11 the amount of times i had to clarify this ,thank you 😂
