If you look at context and translations from a historical perspective, you will realize that the verse in question refers to promiscuity and perversion, not orientation. Lots of people use leviticus to hate gay people and show their true colors, when that's opposite of what Jesus intended. He said "let you who is without sin be the first to cast the stone". But then again, this is God's will. I am a homosexual Christian, and I know that God loves me, because his forgiveness is eternal and his atonement is easy. Jesus loves you no matter what. As I’m a former drug addict who was spending over $1000 on drugs a month as a back slidden Christian, was it not Gods will for me to step out of that destructive lifestyle and into a life of prosperity in my personal relationships, carrier, health and relationship with God thus being led by God into green pastures & are we not under the covenant of Abraham, blessed to be a blessing. I find Joel’s teaching a rather positive message and I don’t see him as an evangelist but I do believe he has a place in the body of Christ for the work he is doing and the Philippians 4:8-9 mindset he is imparting to his audiences.

Religion is fine, except when it isn't. Christians should stop preaching heresies and blasphemies about homosexuality, as the scriptures addressing it have a CONTEXT. Without it, one "tells the truth while telling lies" (my quote). The Bible Says Adultery is a Sin. In fact it's one of the Ten Commandments. I don't see anyone pointing out all people who have sex before marriage and calling them Sinners. Most of his preaching is, or what I've seen anyway, would better be described as motivational speaking. God is good and because you believe in God all good things will happen to you. After my interaction with people, I came to a conclusion that gender doesn't matter at all, gentle temperament, good character and behavior is more important.
I myself got to experience triple trauma:
1.dealing with a narcissist and other mentally ill person
2.dealing with personality clash
3.dealing with other toxic behaviors
I feel like there are problems that need to be addressed like who will be married and are qualified to become parents, the issue on teenage pregnancy is also a problem...

People forget that leviticus was written by and for the ancient Hebrews, and does not take into account homosexuality as our society views it today. If you look at context and translations from a historical perspective, you will realize that the verse in question refers to promiscuity and perversion, not orientation. Lots of people use leviticus to hate gay people and show their true colors, when that's opposite of what Jesus intended. He said "let you who is without sin be the first to cast the stone".
But then again, this is God's will. I am a homosexual Christian, and I know that God loves me, because his forgiveness is eternal and his atonement is easy. Jesus loves you no matter what. And there's nothing you can do about it❤

As I’m a former drug addict who was spending over $1000 on drugs a month as a back slidden Christian, was it not Gods will for me to step out of that destructive lifestyle and into a life of prosperity in my personal relationships, carrier, health and relationship with God thus being led by God into green pastures & are we not under the covenant of Abraham, blessed to be a blessing. I’ll just remember this period of time as a time when all the Catholics and most Protestants claimed Christianity condemned homosexuality. Because I’m pretty confident that in a matter of decades they’ll all be trying to claim that Christianity as a whole, when fully appreciated, tells us to respect LGBTQ people.
The Bible Says Adultery is a Sin. In fact it's one of the Ten Commandments. I don't see anyone pointing out all people who have sex before marriage and calling them Sinners. It's wrong to single people out based on their Sexual Mathew 5:28-29 says If a man looks at a woman with lust in his heart he has committed Adultery with her already. I don't see how singling people out for their sexuality is any Different. Why not make all Sex before marriage illegal and keep the Ten Commandments.
Exactly. People use this verse simply to show their hate for gay people. God loves everyone, no matter what. Leviticus is a book of rules and is a documentation of societal standards written by and for the ancient Hebrews. It does not include the societal and psychological changes made in the thousands of years afterwards. People tend to forget that part

Not only does The Bible tell us gay marriages are wrong, but they are also invalid across America: The Constitution clearly says; Marriage is recognized between a man and a woman. Everything else is invalid. Not only is it invalid, but also an abomination before The Lord.

I love Joel Osteen and I'm a gay man. Zero problems with him. He preaches, love, positivity, compassion. Not normally a fan of mega churches and pastors. But he seems to be the exception. No doubt he's wealthy and i don't donate.

I've watched Joel Osteen preach a few times. This is the first time I've ever heard him mention scripture. Most of his preaching is, or what I've seen anyway, would better be described as motivational speaking. God is good and because you believe in God all good things will happen to you. Never heard him preach about Hell or sin. It's all stuff to make you feel good about yourself no matter what.
